Are united interested in any right footed right wingers all the wingers we have prefer the left side and mata is not a right winger. We have valencia but playing rb mainly now and nani if he's not sold on and there not the best. I know we are linked with bale who I think plays best on the left or central but is put on the right because of Ronaldo and James and it limits his effectiveness. I would like lucas from psg maybe but I can't think of anymore that are that good but right side has been weak this year needs fixing because everything good came down the left nothing from the right much and it's not just a rw we need a rb is important to but there are obvious people we are looking at for that position but rw is a major problem area as well as midfield we are fine if Carrick fit but we need someone else that can do what he does. So we need rb rw cm st and a cb which is quite a lot but I think there will be quite a few outgoings I think such as Evans rvp Di Maria and maybe mata tbh don't see where he fits in in the system lvg plays

{Ed004's Note - Depay?}

Good point and one I made months ago regarding our gaping lack of a right sided midfielder/ winger. If Di maria stays then either him or Depay can play left or right as well as Mata and even young. If Di Maria leaves then I imagine we will see Bale, Ronaldo, muller talk/rumours.

2.) 03 Jun 2015 10:26:10
Didn't we try to play Pereira on the right wing in some reserve games?

3.) 03 Jun 2015 14:57:43
I have a feeling that Depay will play on the right if the team were to stay as it is now, if ADM does leave then I think it will be Mata on the right and Depay on the left but hopefully we will bring in someone (Bale).

I think we have had a very good transfer window and the team shoild improve very soon its about to fall into place considering we have not been able to field many new players yet herrera 60 minutes against swansea and di maria 70 minutes against burnley once we get most of the signings in the starting 11 we will be much stronger and I don't think we should complain about cb jones is very good with rojo and smalling either side would be a lot bettrr and with blind in front they will be less exposed and with rojos pace a higherline will be easier to maintain. Falcao great business sell welbeck and hernandez who wwouldn't start if the whole squad is fit and buy a world class striker that would get in any team the problem is who do you drop on current form mata would make way for rooney at number 10 only because he is captain because he has been poor atvthe start of the season if I had ny way I would put januzaj at 10 let rioney falcao and rvp fight it out to be up front herrera and blind behind di Maria lwb or shaw and di maria switches with herrera rwb I would try young I think he couldbe good he is rubbish on the left because he is so right footed he is scared to run down the flank on the right he shoul be able to be a lot more aattacking but if that don't work valencia. I'm not disappointed with the outgoings I think we undervalued welbeck by about 10 million which annoyed me if mccormack is worth 11 welbeck is worth 25 easy but I have a feeling united wanted him off the books to balance them because of the falcao deal.

1.) Ross Mccormarck isn't worth £11 million. Fulham foolishly payed a vast amount of money for him. £16 for Welbeck is a good fee, hopefully there are add ons too.

Just wondering is vermaelen left footed I think van gaal might want a left footed cb so any change in tactics and formation would be easier especially if we play 3 cbs which I'm not sure he will every game I think he might use it away at the top 6 clubs maybe. We currently don't have any cbs that are left footed and it might be why he is keen on vermaelen for flexibility in the squad just can't remember if he is or not

browred

1.) Yes he's left footed and you are wrong about us not having a left footed centre back to, smalling has 2 of them :-)

2.) 11 Jul 2014 22:57:00
Evans is left footed isn't he? certainly strong on both

3.) Evans is right footed but is very comfortable with both feet.

4.) It won't be required, lvg will kick their,,, if they don't perform. I think our lot are in for a shock this season.

Nice to see the young lads getting game time we should of done this earlier on than now though because this season has been a write off since about February march. Gives them much needed first team experience. Also since his first team break through early in the season januzaj has had hardly any game time but when he played he was one of most threatening attacking players should of had a lot more game time this season

£40million bid has been made that is good news and if we can get a lb as well we could have a good finish to the season. And carry on the rebuild in the summer. I also think that fellaini will do better now his injury has been sorted I think some players take time to adapt look at ramsey and giroud at arsenal I think he should be given a bit more of a chance by the fans this season. It looks a bit better for next season if we get mata he would have had half a season and fellaini will be used to it by then and januzaj would have had a year in the first team powell wil be involved in the first team and that would mean really we would need a cm and cb to complete a very good first 11 I would like hummels and vidal in the summer and left back should be covered as well then we would look really strong. Top 4 or wining cl is a priority can't be missing out on europe it will make the rebuild in the summer a lot harder although most of you doubt we will win the cl I think we will go far in it we have played a lot better in europe this season than the league

1.) Agree with you on Fellaini, mate. Some on here have given him no chance whatsoever, and written him off before he even arrived.

2.) I'm not a fellaini supporter, however he did a job at Everton. His best work was making a nuisance of himself further up the field. But moyes bought him as a defensive midfielder, which is what fellaini said too. But the games that fellaini had in that position, he's looked totally out of sorts.
We've got to wait and see what happens when he's fully fit. I'm not sure he'll gain any speed or become an athletic player, and that is the problem for me. If we are moving to a system where we press high up and break quickly, then we have to have extremely quick and athletic footballers. Fellaini does not fit that description.

3.) Like I've said before, NM, he's stepped up to the biggest club in the world, and played a handful of games with an injury.

Not every new signing hits the ground running. He's got to be given more of a chance than he's been given by fans so far.

We have a sell on clause in Michael Keane contract so that would give us some flexibility with price negotiations because 25 percent of what other clubs pay will come to us so we can offer less and it would be a better deal for Burnley if we disregard the sell on clause.

I would discourage them from selling anyone though because they won't be able to buy replacements

They have scouts who write reports and they go over them and the ones they think are good the staff will go and watch. they want to seem them play live because its hard to gauge from a report and then once viewed you then decide who you like most so its not a rush just usual process and as the squad needs a big overhaul they will probably have a lot more players to go and see than usual

Rojo distribution is what I worry about he tried at least three suicide passes out from the back he got away with them though one because smalling covered really well. I think the problem with our defence we haven't had a pair play well one might but the other doesn't I would like to see mcnair with smalling or jones but I think lvg really likes rojo but I think he is a bit of a liability but could be really good if he cuts out the mistakes

Evans is rubbish I have been saying it for years and he plays like that and you still think he is good. He was captain tonight he should of been commanding the back 3 but he was quiet and made loads of mistakes jones smalling blackett rojo are a lot better than him. Keane still looks very uncomfortable in the rcb position as well . completely agree about hernandez he blunted good attacks by holding on to the ball that was if he wasn't offside.

The quick turn around won't of helped 2 games in 2 days. fletcher has been very good just had one of those games where most things he tried didn't quite work. we do need another cm but if he plays like he did against real madrid then he is good enough for first team. On another note the passes to the wing backs most of the night didn't give them a chance de gea main culprit but so were a lot of our cbs.
