If David Moyes was watching yesterday, he must have been seething thinking "why couldn't I do that when I was at Everton?"

What's happening with your own academy anyway? Already banging the Barkley drum, he's not the future of UTD as some deluded people on here seem to think, he's the future of Everton and England for that matter! His price tag would be too steep for you anyway as £30m is your ceiling, Barkley's price tag would exceed £60m.

Ive been quick to slate Martinez but I think he's doing good things at our place, enjoying the new brand of football playing it on the deck.

Loving the Rooney headband, class act, class free kick, England's best!

AvitURS

1.) Barkley £60m are you drunk or high or in fact both? He is worth £10m at best atm after a few decent games and will go up in value if his form stays this good. Nice to see you think Martinez is all of a sudden your saviour and will do amazing things, when all Everton fans were saying exactly the same about Moyes every year for the last 9 or 10.

2.) So you're quick to slate your new manager, until he manages his first win, now you think he's OK? I think that says more about your level of support than it does anything else. What happens if he loses the next game, will you slate him again? Lol

Barkley looks a real talent. To be fair to the boy, if he wants to achieve success at the highest level he will need to leave Everton at some point, so don't be too disappointed when that happens.

Oh and thanks for taking points of Chelsea for us!

3.) Kenwright would sell for way less than 60m

4.) Mate, if Barkley turns out to be as good as he looks, he's going to move to a club that is competing. I'm not trying to rile you, just pointing out the reality of your situation. Well done on yesterday but 1 game does not define your season.

5.) £60m?, £30m even, you are deluded, you are Everton not Chelsea, you battle for sixth not 1st, teams will not buy a player from you 'worth' £60m, stop associating yourself with us, well it's pretty cute actually because its the closest thing to being champions you'll ever be :-)

6.) Thought I might get a bite!

George - How much did you value Felaini? and how much did you pay?
Did I mention Martinez as a saviour? No, and certainly not after one win at home, I just said I enjoy the new brand of football which I think is refreshing, time will tell on his part

Honeybadger - Your boring, Mourinho will pick the points up where as Moyes will only drop points along the way

DHK - Sorry Kenwright sold Fellaini to you for how much? Didn't sell you Baines though did he? What makes you think you'd get Barkley, insane IMO

AJH - Your comment is more sensible and one game can certainly not define our season, however I believe Martinez will build a team around Barkley much as the way Liverpool did around Gerrard, I don't expect him going anywhere in the next 10+ years

7.) AJH, GAV

I have said this before and I am going to drum around in the near future. Wait till Ben Pearson gets on the scene. The lad will most certainly make it here. He can tackle like a monster, pass long and short as well as anyone in the reserves and dictates play from a deep lying position. I can see Powell and Pearson being the future of the United midfield. Barkley is good no doubt about it, but we have players coming through!

Deeps.

8.) Deeps, great call. Ben Pearson was an U16's striker and I said he would make a great midfielder due to his close control, excellent technical ability and great footballing brain. Now he is a very tidy midfielder and I agree that he will make it at MU. I do not think MU would have let Daehli leave so easily if we never had Ben Pearson.

9.) Syd

I think likewise. Daelhi was only let go because of talent we already have. I think Person would fit the bill perfectly for us, especially if we keep dithering about buying midfielders. To be honest I have faith in the lad.

Who do you think other than Pearson will make it at MU? I have to go for Wilson, Perreira and Lawrence.

Deeps.

10.) Deeps, it's difficult to say for sure, but I expect Henriquez, Powell, Pearson, Daehli, Januzaj, Wilson & Perreira will all have good careers. I hope they are with us though.

11.) Thanks for taking 3 points off chelski yesterday but before you get all giddy look at the match stats, chelsea should of been out of site by half time, on another day you would of been 0-3 down :)

12.) Good shout Deeps, heard a lot about Pearson but only seen bits and pieces of him. Sounds like a talented all rounder and I look forward to seeing more of him in a year or 2.

You know what. I come across to have some back and forth banter with you guys but I must say after reading through some of your post I'm disgusted.

I read from some person who calls himself the trawlerman that SAF left your club in a bad condition, this could not be further from the truth, he left a title winning side in the best condition ever, each department you have is exceptional, I'm an Evertonian but respect to the bloke!

If your going to blame Moyes blame Moyes but the bloke upstairs put you were you are today! Rant over.

AvitURS

1.) You obviously have some serious issues with DM. SAF neglected to buy a midfielder for 5 years with nothing coming through the system.

We used to be a team that used to create umpteen chances and rip teams apart and have not done that in 3 years. So your assertion that he left us in great shape is incorrect as we have the poorest midfield of the top 5 sides.

Whilst he was a great manager, he also had his flaws and recommend you watch the 2 finals against Barca and maybe you will understand where and what we lacked.

2.) U no wot u are getting very boring now, there are more sides to u than a hexagon!

3.) So fickle, after the Swansea game, SAF was great, Moyes was great, Team was great.

Maybe you need to concentrate on producing instead buying, wouldn't surprise me if you after Barkley next.

Moyes I couldn't give a stuff about, he's history to me an reading through the post a lot of your fans would also like him to be history.

4.) Why Chris? Only say it how I see it, I don't have to support you to have an opinion, it's an open site.

5.) If Barkely wants to win things and if we are interested he would end up at United.

Finally, Are you a spurned ex lover of dm disguised as an Everton fan:)

6.) GCU, are you even a United fan? After all the sh@te you talk.

7.) No everton Fan, what did Davey do upset you so much.

Statement, read it and weep.

David Moyes says he will endeavour to bring new faces into his Manchester United squad ahead of tomorrow night's deadlines, but if no deals materialise, he has no concerns going forward - despite Sunday's 1-0 Premier League defeat at Liverpool. Moyes said: "We will try and do it, but from what I saw of the players, I'm more than happy with the players I've got. I thought they played really well, probably the best we've played this season."

Sorry Guys.

AvitURS

1.) I can really question his class, if he is happy with such no creation and no penetration team.
20 times champions can not even create a single chance in 84 minutes. and he is happy with some headless chickens named cleverly, wel back, and he is happy with always out of his depth GIGGS.
we are really heading for amazing time.

from once the most attacking and ruthless football team, we have become slow ducks.

i feel totally shame after todays performance.

Question. Not trying to offend

Mourinho has gone into Chelsea like a whirlwind and started his dismantling/rebuilding like a kid with a box of Lego

Now at the moment Wenger's struggling to get players in - Excuse "Nothing out there" - Utter nonsense
Also Moyes struggling to get anyone in - now I know there's the whole Woodward thing with offers well below.

But here's the thing, has anyone thought about these managers persona? Because neither give of good vibes, if you were a pro footballer earning top dollar who out of the 3 would you want to play for, I know where I'd go.

AvitURS

1.) Ask Juan Mata where he would like to go?

2.) Or, you could turn to Roberto Martinez who just recently got a team relegated, no?

3.) How do you figure that re: Mourinho? Chelsea are playing the same formation they have for several years and have only signed 1 player who can be classed as "first team". Hardly a whirlwind mate.

4.) Lol, must have hit a raw nerve there! Martinez or boring Moyes? Behave, Martinez got relegated because he had the balls to have a go with limited or no resources, Moyes was worse due to the fact he sat back on too many drawing games then lost those games for doing so, most evertonians blame him for failing to get into Europe, you lot need to grow up I asked a straight question, that question was do you think your lack of activity is down to Moyes persona?

5.) If Mata wanted to leave he'd have put a transfer request in wouldn't he? Just like Rooney!

6.) Half of the Madrid team hated Mourinho.
It is well documented that he gets all Buddy Buddy with the core of the team or the big personalities but he also neglects a lot of other players.
If you think players sign for managers your deluded. Players sign for Money/career/playing time etc and CLUB.
Who knows who's going to be manager at City sor Chelsea next couple of years . How many managers have City/Chelsea has last 10 years? Both current managers might only have 2 seasons at best.

7.) AvitURS, my bro-in-law is a dyed in the wool Evertonian, and he always said that Everton owed the man so much. He goes to most games, and he said that this was how most proper Everton fans thought.

He kept you going as a credible outfit for years, on a limited budget, and got teams playing for him, whilst bringing young players through.

What he did getting you into Europe on those resources, was nothing short of a miracle.

Don't turn round now just because he's gone, and try to make out like you never really rated him anyway.

It just sounds bitter.

8.) Ok so Rossi hasn't just turned Moyes down then? Says doesn't want to play for Moyes not doesn't want to play for united, says it all.

9.) How old are you, wenger is one of the finest managers around. Let see how Jose does if he had very little money to spend for years due to clubs financial commitments and actually had to sell some of his better players.

This might not get posted as it has previously been submitted and not posted but abra has a holding company who can call in 850 million of credit on chelsea that needs to paid within 15 months, get your head around that mate.

Martinez will get you guys close to relegation in the next 24 months as he has no concept of how to defend.

10.) If a manager gets you to a certain position on limited resources then that's a great achievement and from Moyes at the time it was, but after when he had the chances to go for it time after time and sat back defensively then lost along with the chance of Europe well that's bad management, Martinez win lose or draw at least he goes for it, and he's won more than Moyes ever will. Don't make me laugh by counting the shield.

11.) Wenger? Money! That's something arsenal aren't short of, him and Moyes need a lesson from AVB I think, how many players have they signed?

12.) Aviturs:
If you truly believe that A: we bid for Rossi and B: he turned the move down because of Moyes then you are a very stupid human being.

30 Aug 2013 07:41:49
Good to see one of the so called smaller clubs sticking to there guns and not getting rolled over, Everton do not sell on the cheap.

AvitURS

1.) Thats because we A. Went in with a daft first offer and B. Have continually stated there is no limit to our budget.

So if you are selling to a club that wants two of your best players, that then bids an amount seen by all as stupidly low, that continually states they need reinforcements and states they have no limit, what do you expect the outcome to be?

Fleecing time if we want them.

That's only my opinion, I just like his game over the other two, I just feel he can head, tackle, run all day, has pace, can score at close or long range, and great at set pieces, question marks you can put over the other two, that's just an opinion but good debate tho, I wonder how Roy Keane compares himself against Scoles because personally I'd have chose him over all 3, but that's another debate.

Lampard all day long for me, even SAF was looking to take him, everything in his locker, complete midfielder in my none bias opinion, H Redknapp's interview on him says it all.

Elvis - think you lot need to stop dreaming over Barkley, that's a player Everton won't sell and a player UTD couldn't afford
