Ok I will try and be brief, I like avoiding this site on days like Sunday because there are often a lot of knee jerk reactions that infuriate me further so apologies if this has been said already.
1 - we all have to give Moyes our full backing, we are not Sunderland, he is here for a while.
2 - I think Moyes is aware that he put out the wrong line up, Ashley young looks to gave to confidence to play for united but, at the moment, he doesn't look to have the ability. I have been very outspoken in my dislike for Nani however he has just been given a new 5 year contract, let's see if he deserves it and whether playing under Moyes is lime a fresh start for him (I have my doubts but that is an argument for a different day)
3 - I was disappointed that we only made the one substitution on Sunday, even if we did play a lot better after it (you could argue that's because city took their foot off the gas) I would have like to have seen at least one of Kagawa, Nani or Hernandez coke on as well. Also I'm amazed that Young even came out for the second half.
4 - our defense was poor, I cannot wait for Rafael to be back just so snalling can move back inside.
5 - I also believe this match highlighted why we needed to buy a second cm this summer, it seems as if the management is expecting Fellaini to be our answer for both our defensive and our attacking cm problems.

Jaxer

1.) Sorry about all that spelling as well

2.) Finally someone else who agrees just how poor Young is. At this rate I think he wouldn't stand out playing for the reserves he's just been atrocious. We should be playing Nani and Kagawa ahead of Valencia and Young, maybe then the latter two will work harder for a place in the team.

3.) Results and fans and sponsors reactions will determine if dm is here for a while irrespective of a 6 year contract.when fergie got a bit of time utd were in the wilderness.we are now for the time being top of the tree and the pressure will be immense on davey boy, if we underperform badly he might not be here next season

I was going to post this last weekend but never got round to it, it is possibly my favourite quote of all time:

"If I had to choose between dribbling past 5 players and scoring from 40 yards or sleeping with Miss World it would be a hard choice. Thankfully I've done both"
George Best

Jaxer

1.) . scoring from 40 yards AT ANFIELD.

Sorry

2.) I think the best quote was

'I spent a lot of money on booze, women and fast cars, the rest I just squandered away'

Classic

3.) On a similar note, I love the story of how Bestie was in a hotel with a Miss World, there were empty bottles of champagne and £20 notes littering the floor. He rang for room service and when it arrived, the boy delivering it looked around the room and said, Mr Best, where did it all go wrong'?

4.) Or when room service comes into his hotel room later in his career with a beautiful woman in his bed, champagne and money all over the bed, the man then says "George, where did it all go wrong?"

Shappy, I think it was you saying this, but have you started on that pie yet? It really is delicious

"The manager must decide where I play but I want to play defensive midfield, "

This is very reassuring to read, he knows it is his best position, I think the one person who doesn't is Henning Berg (a few days ago he said he would like to see MF further forward for us) I believe that Moam could be a truly great player for us in a deep role but never as an attacking player, and it is nice to see him appreciate that his best position isn't the glamorous role but rather as an enforcer which we haven't had for a good few years now

Quick Question for Eds and regulars etc, - my mate (scouse) told me 2 very interesting things last night. Firstly - apparently when Fergie left he told Moyes that Kagawa was a special, special player and the future of the club, and secondly that Moyes told Kagawa before the community shield that he was going to use him very sparingly until after this international break.
I was just wondering if someone could verify if one or both of these things is true

Jaxer

1.) Kagawa was always going to start later than everyone else. Also with our tricky start it's been difficult to slot him in as he isn't yet match fit. Perhaps we will see him get 60 minutes in the Palace game. Then another hour in the West Brom game.

2.) It's easy to see that Kagawa is the future of the club along with others if we keep hold of him. Only 24 and has buckets more skill than most our other players at his age.

I haven't heard what you're mate told you Jaxer but it's certainly believable after the countless times SAF praises Shinji last year and said he'll improve massively this year once accustomed to the club and the EPL. Possible future number 7 shirt bearer if Rooney stays with the no.10.

3.) The problem is kagawa is better than the players around him (Rooney and rvp not included). He makes excellent runs and cleverly, carrick, Anderson, young, Valencia fail to pass him the ball or when he has the ball they fail to make the quick runs to allow him to play quick one twos or through balls. Just look at how slick the interplay was when he was at Dortmund.

He is so good that Dortmund did not miss goetze when he was out with a broken leg a couple of seasons ago. If moyes builds around kagawa, not only will he be a massive marketing tool, he will be a world beater.

Zouma looks good but we don't need another 19/20 yr old defender, that's why I'd prefer someone more experienced like Subotic

Dont get me wrong, I believe that on his day he is one of the best wingers around but that day is all too rare for my liking however as a Manchester United player I will support him come what may, i'm just not getting my hopes up. If Moyes can motivate him to perform consistently then that would be brilliant, I just take umbrage with the people saying he will be like a new player this year because I can't see that happening.

There are many wingers in world football with his ability, and I guarantee after this 10 game period that you are allowing him, he will still be disappointing you

Really gets to me when people say that 1) Nani is only lacking in confidence. This is tripe, he used to have to much confidence, he is lacking decision making and end product. And 2) That he carried us in 2010, yes Rooney was having a shocker but up until February so was Nani, he played well against arsenal, Bolton then inter and all of a sudden wins player if the year. I would have been happy to see him go anytime in the last 5 years. He hasn't improved by ant noticeable degree in any area of his game.

As with Jase, I completely agree. I was saying to my brother earlier this evening 2 years ago Vidic got injured and we all wondered whether JEvans could stand up to the plate, he did (we might not have won the league but he still played incredibly well). Last year there was a myriad of injuries to our defenders and again JEvans stepped up and performed superbly. This year he is a year older and a year better, for me he should be in our starting pair

Nothing wrong with bringing on Smalling, Rafael had taken a knock. Agree about Valencia and I would have just taken Nani off for Welbeck

I could not agree more. I don't really like Slysports but this is a copy and paste straight from one of their articles about tonight talking about Evans which I completely agree with:

"faced with one of the most dangerous front pairings the Premier League can offer, the Northern Ireland international produced the sort of performance that had you wondering why Moyes feels obliged to ask Rio Ferdinand to hobble around thrice a week. Is the former Everton boss labouring under the misapprehension Evans is a mere understudy? True in 2008 but something of a nonsense five years on. Learning to rotate effectively is imperative at United."
