With all the links to cb's (Hummels, Otamendi, Ramos etc.) I'm surprised we haven't been linked with Rannochia of Inter and Mustafi, Otamendi's defensive partner at Valencia.
Rannochia is a beast of man, still the right side of 30 at 27. Mustafi on the other hand i feel he is very underrated, for me he stood out as a better defender than Oamendi whenever i have watched Valencia this season, and he has broken into the German national team , surely he has been overlooked?

'Better defender than Otamendi'? I rate Mustafi, but not to that extent. Some people just like bashing names we are linked to. For exmaple, when Hummels was 'close to singing' everyone jumped on the 'injury prone' bandwagon. Now I've seen a few people say Mustafi is better than Otamendi. Ramos will be too old and too rash before you know it. We should go for Pepe. Better of the two.

like I said whenever I watched Valencia, Mustafi stood out more than Otamendi, seems a lot more composed on the ball where as Otamendi likes to put himself about. Don't get me wrong I like Otamendi, but I think with our current style of play Mustafi would fit better as a bal playing cb.

first time poster here, for those who watch our u21's. Could someone give an analysis on Andreas Pereira, what is his best position, what kind of player is he and where dyou think he would fit into our current starting 11 should he be given a place? thanks in advance

Hi Chris, Pereira can play on either wing but strong in the Attacking Midfield role. I would imagine this season, if he is given an opportunity, he will be used out wide. He seems very comfortable on the ball and keeps possession well so I would think he is the type of player LVG likes.

Welcome mate, I think he'll definitely get a run out in the fa and league cup games and hopefully a few sub appearances in the prem. Depends if we buy any more players in his position though (firmino)

Have a good night Chris . Welcome chrismufc he is a very technically gifted player he is bulking up a little which was badly needed to play in England. I would expect him to make a dozen appearances this season primarily from the bench, he has the talent he needs to impress everyday to get his chance I believe he is going to have a better career than adnan.

He reminds me mostly of ashley young, not skill wise but in the sense he is a work horse and seems to put in 100% to every game. I think the only thing he lacks really is end product but to be considered great and not good that is what you need. Even though it is his first season in the BPL, he has had decent loan spells and at 23 you would expect him to try and nail down a first team spot (which he has for now) .

Kasper Schmeichel has to be in with a shout, I think he's a very good goalkeeper plus already knows the league.
