{Ed002's Note - I don't keep up with "reports or the such like Dave, so I have no idea. As for Villareal's Eric Bailly, he has attracted interest from Barcelona and Manchester City (albeit he is far from first choice for either club) with Valencia, Montpellier, Marseille and Stoke also having the player watched this season. Barcelona see him as a raw talent but a cheap back-up option - but I can think of three ahead of him on the back up player list. The Manchester City interest came from Guardiola - and he was again far from first choice. Villareal quoted an unaffordable price to Marseille when they enquired. Manchester City also saw the asking price as too high whilst Manchester United may look to negotiate.}

I love the age profile of how we are spending money and where we are spending. Not there yet but it could be something specie in a couple of years and not talking about pl only.

He will be there for 2 years then things will go wrong from the third year. His skill is as a man manager, that's why he immediately gets the best out of his players. He can set up a team defensively and allow his players to play entertaining football, but as soon as the team get a bad result he reverts to a defensive set up. After two years, just being a good man manager is not enough, and the players start to see through his lack of tactical awareness. Look forward to two years of fun and trophies (unless pep outguns him), but believe me it will all end in tears.

To be honest I think Jose knew that we would not be good enough unless we signed 3 or 4 world class players. I think that this stems from the fact that Terry may have declined and not be the player of last year, when he held the defence together. You can't just stand still, u have to improve and hopefully that has now sunk in
I said that we (Chelsea) would be fighting for 4th place this year and have not changed my mind. I agree with most of what u say MM, most Chelsea supporters have the same feeling about Pedro as u lads, but we shall see.
Jose annoys us a lot of the time , so god knows what other teams think of him, but he is usually successful.
Good luck for this season, think we will all be chasing city this year,

Chelsea only play with one striker and nobody would get in the team over costa. Jose decided he wanted Oscar over Mata, and he probably knows a bit more than we do. Maybe Di Maria would get in on the right over Willian, but that's about it.
