So, I saw a comment further down the page that suggested people like their own posts for some reason. It was the thread I started suggesting there was a narrative that was almost exclusively negative which led to, in the words of Scooby, a willy waving contest.

Given the original post has 19 likes, far more than any of the comments, I’m wondering if that comment was aimed at me. I’m happy for the Eds to look at it and confirm but I haven’t liked it myself so that means apart from jred, GDS, and Stevie, there are a bunch of others who agree but for whatever reason don’t get into the waving contest.

My point is there is room for everyone on here, but it has been getting a bit feisty lately and like it or not, sometimes it feels like people are being shouted down for having a different view.

I love a good debate but it seems to get yah boo very quickly sometimes.

I don’t think it was aimed at you, some of shappy’s posts have been accused of it too, he gets a lot of likes for well thought out balanced posts and all of the comments are telling him he’s a fool and an idiot, I do think you’re right, I’d stayed out of it for a bit as it was getting silly only to read the page and see an ed had called me a clown when I’d not posted for 4 days.

It is getting a little silly as I’m sure if we were all in the pub we would have a good laugh and the people who think the ‘rose tinters’ think everything is fine would realise that isn’t the case and we moan as much as everyone else, we just choose to try and have hope on a forum. What am I talking about the pub, if only!

Maybe the pack mentality you speak of is with the ones you mention. I don't see any pack mentality. I see a couple of posters being antagonizing others and those you mention are the ones that do that most imo.

AJH I agree, I come on here to have a good debate.
But certain post such as "Only a complete fool would think otherwise"
put me off.

People have different opinion, we just need to deal with it. If they don't agree, labeling them fool or clown is not the right way to have a proper debate.
