2 games losing streak, with an extremely difficult tie at home ( we are awful at home) against Villareal in a must win game. The very drilled and coached Villareal, and I don't think we are getting 3 points from this game which will essentially seal our exit from the group.
Atlanta is the hardest team to play in the group and I don't think we are going to get much joy against them.
I fear a draw or loss incoming and us being out of champions league now after league Cup if Ole stays.

The UCL might take on a more important role in many fans eyes now. Two games lost, out of the league cup. Some fans just want to win something.

It's not as easy a group as it first appears. We have never beaten Villareal, in fact neither side have won over 90 minutes. While Atalanta are not your usual Italian team. They play an aggressive attacking style of play. That might play into our hands as it could give us space to get in behind them, but any team that will attack as much as Atalanta do always pose a threat.

The loss against Young Boys looks more and more damaging.

"Some fans just want to win something"

What do the rest of the fans want?

Mumbles - We’ve got a fantastic team but we play like strangers. Anyone who watches our games knows that the football is generally awful but we have an array of players that can produce individual moments of quality which is enough to win games of football.

The quality of our players means Ole will keep his job despite his obvious shortcomings. Today was just another example of Ole waiting for someone to produce a moment of quality to win another tight game.

He’ll finish in the top 4 but this team is nowhere near consistent enough to get anywhere near a title. When you set up like we do games like this will come along with alarmingly regularity.

There was a long debate yesterday regarding when Ole will get the sack. I think if he fails to get out of the Champions League group he’ll come under pressure but in reality I think you can almost predict how the season will pan out already.

He’ll scrape out of the Champions League group and we won’t go much further.

You couldn’t bet against a decent run in the fa cup but expect a defeat when it really matters.

We’ll plod along in the League and do just enough to make the top 4.

Ole will come under pressure on numerous occasions throughout the season but manage to string a run of results together to save his skin.

With top 4 secured he’ll most likely keep his job for at least another season.

Next season when he’s still not implemented any recognisable style of play and these kind of results keep happening eventually he’ll face fan revolt and the Club will act.

If you can’t wait that long you better get the plane ready!

Do you think Ole is close to the sack because I think if he gets through the group stage of the champions league we have enough quality to stay in and around the top 4. If we finish in the top 4 regardless of how far behind the eventual winners we finish I think he’ll get another season at least.

Not "just" win something.

Maybe they want to see youth given a chance. Maybe they want to see a certain style. Maybe they want to see the club run a certain way. Maybe they want big name signings. Maybe they want a club that retains its soul. Or maybe they just want to see a few local lads make it in the side.

For others it's all about glory, all about chanting and goading people who support other clubs, or being able to shove "their" success down anothers throat.

Each to their own.

Shappy that group is a europa leuage grouo we should be winning 6 out of 6

It would be nice to win somthing but we also need to be entertained not bored to death watching no style of play and a manager who is absolute clueless.

When we all saw the CL group everyone breathed a sigh of relief we avoided the better team.

Liverpool went to Atalanta and beat them on their own turf 6-0.

The expectations at this club are under ground.

I remember saying a few years ago that we should prioritise the style of play over trophies. I got called a "troll" by certain posters. It's funny how things change to justify positions.

Shappy, what a ridiculous thing to say.
As a football fan, you want to see your team winning. The goading and changing is part and parcel of wanting your team to win!
Most football fans wouldn’t give a fiddlers who pulls on the shirt if they were winning trophies.
We, as United fans had a glorious run with young local lads at the heart of the team. That won’t happen again In the near future with the money and foreign investment in the PL.

Bolger2,

I completely agree with you. However we can still easily qualify from the CL group stages, although I have my doubts and could see Utd in the EL again.
