What is it with Ole and Rushing back players? He did it with Rashford about 2 years ago, put him on against Wolves, where he got injured. Same with Lingard, played him against Liverpool and he tore something. Varane out. Maguire's recent form would also suggest to me because he's been abnormally awful. Even Mctominnay was poor after he came back a few games ago. It's just poor management that just risks the player picking up another injury. Just play someone who's fit?

He only plays his favourites, and the hypocrisy last night when he asked Sancho and Donny to save his job was off the charts. Personally, if I was Donny I'd have scored an own goal just to get rid of the fraud.

Fresh, they're professional footballers, who came on and did the job they're getting well paid for.

Jesus, we need to get the Samaritans involved, the mood on here is suicidal.

Some of the posts and comments since last night's game have been ridiculous.

Seriously, if United are affecting you this much then you are either over reacting or are lucky you don't have bigger things to worry about.

I love my club but some perspective is needed.

And that’s why you don’t play for United among other reasons I guess :) - hopefully you are also self employed!

Yet more evidence of ole’s poor management. He’s clearly rushing players back to try and keep his job, his ego is to the detriment of those players. Maguire, varane and rashford all examples, nothing changes with him and he will do it again.

I think the reason I don't play for United is my lack of football playing capability mate.

He learnt it from Fergie, who often did that with his players. I remember Fergie saying well he has trained for the last 2 days so he should be ok for the game tomorrow.

Sun went down tonight. Again. I blame Ole.

I'd imagine we need a review of the medical staff, if they keep passing a player fit to play when they aren't.

I remember when Sir Alex used to continuously injure our CB's, Rio, Vidic, Brown, Smalling and Jones struggled to stay fit for more than a few months under that tyrant. Forcing them to run around and play football. Who did he think he was.

Don't compare fergie with ole. Another pathetic attempt at deflection. Your embarrassing yourself shappy.

Ken, just pointing out that under Sir Alex we had a serious injury problem with our defenders. The club hired new medical staff and even considered changing the training pitches. And was said sarcastically with tongue in cheek.

Injuries happen, they happen more regularly when a player is returning from injury. As the body is readjusting to pushing it's boundaries again.

Ultimately a decision on when a player makes their competitive return is made by not just the manager, but by the medical staff and the player.

I remember Louis Saha was very particular and wouldn't make himself available unless he felt 100% fit, something other players criticised. It might have been Gary Neville who said he didn't think he was ever 100% fully fit during his entire career. That he was always carrying a knock, or a bruise or just an ache somewhere in his body.

So clearly there is a lot of grey area. Some players are prepared to play with a certain amount of pain and will make themselves available, others are not.

I remember earlier in the season a player got kicked when coming back from an injury and people blamed the manager.

I'm all for fair criticism, and Ole is deserving of a lot of it. But sometimes people just want to blame the manager for everything, which aside from being boring, makes people look more than a little thick.

Injuries happen a lot more regularly when your not playing well and losing.
Don’t happen nowhere near as much when your winning, strange that!

Jens, are you suggesting that players are less keen to player and are dodging their jobs because the going is getting tough?

So is that on the players or the manager?

What I’m saying is quite clear
Players miss games through injury much less when the team is winning then they do when team is losing! Even for you, I would have thought you could understand that, perhaps if you ever played professionally you would understand! Not managing a Sunday league team, maybe that’s why you can’t comprehend that….

Jens, calm down and untwist your knickers. Why in your informed opinion do players get less injuries when a team is playing well?

Also where did you get your statistics on injuries Vs how well a team is playing?

Also is that a relative to the squad/ league etc or just across the board.

I mean do teams that get relegated have more injuries than the team that wins the league? Or is it a case of when a team is playing poorer than the sum of its parts there are more injuries directly compared to when a team is playing greater than the sum of its parts?
