Throw Scott up top with Hojlund out, he is big strong physical, he can hold up the ball and score a goal, might be a better option than Rashford and we can play same way?,

I agree. Fulham and Forest in the cup next, you’d hope enough fire power in the team to win those two games with McTominay doing that role.

23 Feb 2024 17:14:02
I actually really like this idea!

3.) 23 Feb 2024
23 Feb 2024 18:14:01
Hojlund is such a big loss and at a time when a little momentum was building.

I agree with putting Scott up top, and leaving Rashford and Garnacho where they are. McTominay used to be a striker and he’s not afraid of putting some yards in. Put Rashford up top and we have to drop 15 yards because he doesn’t know how to press.

I prefer a 1 for 1 swap.
The less changes to shape the better.
I read recently that amad was being considered for a central role.
But I do think it will be mctom.
But we do know how eth is a big Antony fan so he might get another opportunity to play.
No recognised lb and no recognised striker it will be tough day. Great opportunity for others to step up.

5.) 23 Feb 2024
23 Feb 2024 21:11:15
Surely we will see rashford upfront, then bring in anthony, amad or perhaps mount is returning?

6.) 24 Feb 2024
24 Feb 2024 00:14:08
Great idea, always see him as a striker if anything. His movement and positioning is superb. He almost gets in the way of Rasmus sometimes. He has the physical presence and could be a threat. Only my opinion.

7.) 24 Feb 2024
24 Feb 2024 06:13:06
Forson potentially then limited disruption elsewhere.

8.) 24 Feb 2024
24 Feb 2024 08:22:57
How many minutes has Antony had recently Ken? But you still use it as a stick to beat the manager. Move on.

9.) 24 Feb 2024
24 Feb 2024 08:57:33
I think the important thing is to try and have minimum disruption to the set up. McTominay makes sense for me with Rashford Left and Garnacho Right. But if Antony was to play and you can see it happening, I’d be inclined to throw him in through the middle and just tell him to be busy and get shots off. I just don’t think Rashford offers anything through the middle and attitude wise I don’t think he seems like he wants to.

10.) 24 Feb 2024
24 Feb 2024 09:20:36
McTominay has never been a striker, even in the academy. He himself said that he only played one game as a striker and didn't understand why people were saying he used to be one.

I'd stick Rashford upfront and bring on either Forson or Amad on the right.

11.) 24 Feb 2024
24 Feb 2024 10:09:30
Given Shaw’s injury record and the uncertainty of Malacia’s return date why did we get rid of Sergio Reguilion?
Make as few changes as poss, which means play McTom upfront.

12.) 24 Feb 2024
24 Feb 2024 10:16:03
I stand corrected Unruly, I thought it was common knowledge but obviously not.

In that case it would be nice to see Forson given a chance.

We are facing an indifferent Fulham side, at home. It’s not a bad fixture to give a youngster their first start.

13.) 24 Feb 2024
24 Feb 2024 10:59:03
Wazza a stick to beat the manager. What are you talking about. I've never once tried any stick to beat the manager. Never once have I ever tried to 'beat ' the manager.

14.) 24 Feb 2024
24 Feb 2024 10:59:20
It's just one of those things people say Wazza. I agree that Fulham aren't in their best form and it's an opportunity for others to stake a claim. Maybe even try playing with Bruno as a false 9 with McTominay in midfield.

15.) 24 Feb 2024
24 Feb 2024 11:01:35
Mctim imo possess nine of and has never shown any of the attributes a striker requires to play up front.
He never was a cf a a youth to best of my knowledge.

16.) 24 Feb 2024
24 Feb 2024 12:42:16
If it's anything other than Garnacho / Rashford / Antony I'll eat my hat!

17.) 24 Feb 2024
24 Feb 2024 12:58:24
I think having mctominay isn't a bad shout or play mctominay in the 10 and bruno as a false 9.

18.) 24 Feb 2024
24 Feb 2024 14:05:21
Trust in the youth. ?? even our own fans wanted a square peg in a round hole and didn't want to trust the youth.

19.) 24 Feb 2024
24 Feb 2024 14:10:09
Well done Chris!

“But we do know how eth is a big Antony fan”

Antony hasn’t started for weeks, and didn’t start today either. So you’re obviously talking nonsense if you think ETH is an Antony fanboy.

But don’t let the facts get in the way of your opinion.

21.) 25 Feb 2024
25 Feb 2024 01:39:22
So Forson and change the whole front 3 around, absolute joke, ETH needs to go with Rashford, let’s start again.

22.) 25 Feb 2024
25 Feb 2024 08:05:22
Wazza here are the facts eth is an Antony fan. Yes he's been out of the team and was even yesterday but he is an Antony fan.
Now I'll slate the manager.
He won't be here next season and nor sh I understand he be.
I'm not calling for him to be fired now. But I think he should be come the summer. He is not coaching this team well at all imo and the players are going backwards under him. This season. Every single one of them.

23.) 25 Feb 2024
25 Feb 2024 10:42:16
“Here’s the facts” yet you go on to state your opinion.

As you tell others Ken: you don’t know anything about it.

Again all opinions and hot air. Are Mainoo, Garnacho and Hojlund going backwards? I don’t think so. But that is just my opinion. I have nothing to measure it against, and nor do you.

I’m still of the opinion that we have many players that need to go before the manager. It’s like Groundhog Day with these players. They eventually down tools and the manager is sacrificed. It’s no coincidence that Ole lasted longer than most, as he had such low standards himself and the players got away with it under him, because he wanted to be their mate. Managers with higher standards who demand more from the players are eventually moved on.

So who comes in next? Tuchel if he leaves Bayern? Isn’t he another disciplinarian that this same group of players will eventually throw under the bus?

24.) 25 Feb 2024
25 Feb 2024 13:36:27
Eazza it's not my opinion wth is an Antony fan it's fact. He signed him for united and ajax no doubt he is a fan spoke glowing about him yesterday.
The test is my opinion. I'm not an expert at all but my opinion is he won't be here next season.
Let's see who the experts agree with. You or me.
I'd wager heavily I'll be right. If you fancy a bet.

25.) 25 Feb 2024
25 Feb 2024 13:40:47
The elects I like about eth is his discipline.
No garnacjo has not improved 1 iota since coming in last season imo.
Mainoo has not improved either but it's too short a time.
Rasmus too short a time.
I believe if he has them long enough he might not improve them at all.
Rasmus was making the same runs 6 months ago you said so yourself.
You have your opinion I've mine let's see who's opinion turns out to be hot air in the summer.

26.) 25 Feb 2024
25 Feb 2024 13:47:32
Not sure at all who comes in next. I'll leave that to the experts. Whomever it is like eth will get my full support until it becomes as obvious as now that we are going backwards.
Results are worse than last season
We are scoring less goals
Conceefing more
Getting less points
Doing worse in cup comps
Spent a fortune in Summer again
Playing players badly out of form.
Awful to watch
No obvious style of play.
Lost a record no of epl games.
Players defy him publicly and he does nothing .
They defy him on the pitch ( he has said it himself)
Not 1 player has improved under him.
I don't care who the manager is and I won't prejudge any of them.
Judge them in what they do and eth is not doing anything I like to see.
In the end I think you will also want him fine. He is in the slippery slot and they're is no coming back from it.
Let's see who is talking hot air.

27.) 25 Feb 2024
25 Feb 2024 17:31:56
Ken that was a very swift change of subject.

Nobody here is disagreeing about ETH not being here next season. Seems you’ve got into a little argument with yourself on this thread ?.
