Does anyone think that Sky Sports shouldn't have a betting website? every day they start transfer rumours without proving the source and direct people straight to SkyBet!
I don't believe 90% of their stories, especially the United to pay £100mil for Pogba one.
Sky have linked us to about 25 signings this summer already, we were buying Ramsey, Kante and Morata the other day.

{Ed001's Note - I have been saying that for years. It is clear they are stirring up nonsense to make money off the betting market.}

Don't get me started, I think I feel as strongly as Ed001 on this, so many people think sky sports are the be all and end all. I have heard a few people say 'I don't believe it unless sky say it', it is absolute nonsense. You wouldn't believe everything you saw on Betfred Sports News so why would you on Sky Sports News.

There was a journalist earlier (Kristof Terreur) who tweeted that Newcastle were signing Mats Sels, he then said 'Sure sky sources will run with this in a few hours'. 3 hours later and they announced sky sources were reporting it. If your sources are 'reading Twitter' then you are not a credible news source.

{Ed007's Note - I've been saying this on here for for years, since the Sneijder debacle of summer 2011 which was my first transfer window on here and I still thought Sly were the be all and end all of sport. I'm actually at the point now I couldn't even tell you the last time I put SSN on.
People should ask themselves why do the majority of their 'news' items contain betting odds? They shut the book on the next Celtic manager 3 times in a couple of weeks and not one of them was Brendan Rodgers - so the posters on the Celtic site made a killing on it.
You don't put on Channel 4 and Jon Snow's rattling off odds about where the next bombing's going to be or whether the £ will reach an all time high or low.
Cut Sly out of your life altogether and you AND your pocket will be a lot better off for it.}

They are a visual version of the news of the world. They work on the news of the world theory when generating news stories of make it quick make it short make it up.
They are the tramps and prostitutes of the media world imo.

Isn't that because he's too busy fighting Ramsay Bolton Ed007?!

{Ed007's Note - You've lost me mate!}

4.) 29 Jun 2016 15:06:14
Apologies. You mentioned Jon Snow (the C4 news guy) and I made a quip about Game of Thrones. I'll take it you fall into the 10% of people that don't watch it.

5.) 29 Jun 2016 16:29:44
Bond doesn't watch it he lives it. He's north of the wall in a cold desolate wasteland battling strange supernatural foes.

{Ed007's Note - Sorry, Simon I don't watch it. There's far too much sex in it and watching things like that gives the Mrs some funny ideas.
It's not quite as barbaric where I live, Mort - we've only had the 2 shootings this week in my street.}

And he lives in the posh part of Glasgow :)

{Ed007's Note - I think they must be doing a BOGOF offer.}

SkySports suggest we've ended interest in Pedro, hope not I like him! Anyone know what's going on?

I love Ed004 he knows everything. There should be an app on every football fan's phone where you just click it to ask Ed a question. like Siri.
If we do lose De Gea who's the likely replacement? I've always rated Lloris personally.

Ferg

{Ed004's Note - Valdes will probably replace De Gea}

1.) 02 Jul 2015 20:16:41
Ed004 will be my favourite ed till the day he abandons us ;)
On another note where the hell is 025 these days? Has he abandoned us already?

{Ed025's Note - still here sailor, but ED004 and ED007 have been doing the business while i have been busy, but im staying around mate...you wont get rid of me that easy my old mucker.. :)

2.) 03 Jul 2015 10:17:57
Awww damn, just when I thought we had finally got rid of 025, here he is.

{Ed025's Note - i need someone to take my frustration of evertons transfer dealings on MPez..and you my friend are IT.. :)

Thorney lad, the rumour is you've forgotten how exceptional Becks was for United. Mata has done really well for a couple of years and yes did score a great goal v Liverpool. Becks was incredible for 11 years scoring 62 goals for us and created more goals for the likes of Ruud than Mata would do in 25 years. I also think G Nev's attacking ability would have hugely improved by playing with Becks.
I think Mata should be at a better / higher profile club than Everton. Jose doesn't think he's consistently good enough to play in our number 10 roll and there will be many better right midfielders and wingers out there.

Both players prefer the deep midfield role which carrick plays so we don't need both of them. If we're looking for someone to take over after carrick then it's morgan all the way because bastian's getting on a bit now so we'd be replacing him within 2 years so what's the point.
I agree about the transfers, what does my nut in is the clubs take weeks and months to make decisions and get deals done yet on transfer deadline day they get it agreed signed and paid for in a couple of hours. I'm already fed up of the constant transfer speculation, I believe almost none of it now.

I can't believe people are being even a tiny bit negative about Rooney, football fans have short memories as they say.
Every club in the Premier League over the last 10 years would have loved to sign Rooney. He's been a superstar for us and not just in patches. Fa Cup winner, Champs league winner, all round top superb servant to our club. He has inspired many other players for both Utd and England. If there was a new Wayne Rooney coming thru the ranks right now he'd be costing you British records to sign and we'd pay it all over again.
Thanks for choosing us Wayne, I've loved watching your career blossom. Top player.

As United fans we want the best of everything don't we? I mean the absolute best. We want centrebacks like Vidic and Rio in their prime, a Tony Adams, Sol Campbell, John Terry style leaders who command and run the game. Players with the attitude of a Stuart Pierce when in the depths of winter in the hard rain, 9pm at night away at Stoke. Stand up and be counted guys.
Would you ever put Blind or Smalling on that list? No. They're good players, some of the most outstanding in the Premier league last season. That doesn't make them world class though in my opinion. Will Barca, Bayern and Real be fighting over signing either of them? Nope.
I saw a random stat on sky sports something like Eric Bailly last season was dribbled past 6 times in a year, Blind was dribbled past 67 times.

In May I went to Madrid for 4 days, did a stadium tour of the Bernabaeu and went to watch Athletico Madrid v Barca.
Best short trip I've ever been on, Madrid is one of the nicest places I've ever been to and I think as a footballer I'd be well beyond cloud 9 if I was told I'll be living in Madrid and playing there. Not to mention the food, weather and how friendly the people were!
Their stadium is no better than ours on appearance but what a place. Miles better than Manchester in so many ways. If you didn't have an affiliation to play for either team and you just wanted to live in the best place then as a city Madrid is 10 times better than Manchester on the whole.
My wife went to Barcelona and thought it was the nicest city she's ever been to.
