2 more gone with Varane, Heaton and Evans, clearout started, with hopefully about 10 more to follow. I expect about 4 to come in with the promotion of youth too.

17 May 2024 17:25:42
AWB gone as well, which needed to happen. Martial leaving is long overdue. Casemiro may be gone too.

17 May 2024 18:56:58
Is this official or where u getting this info?

 1

17 May 2024 19:22:00
Apparently AWB has indicated he wants to go back to London, maybe back to Palace (from Muppetiers)

17 May 2024 19:46:19
Part of a deal for Olise would be good.

 3

17 May 2024 20:20:01
Not much Palace can do if someone matches the release clause for Olise.
Although I’m still wondering what happened that time that Arsenal matched Suarez’s clause but Liverpool rejected it lol.

 0

17 May 2024 20:58:40
If we are interested in Olise and Palace would like him back then a deal should be able to be done to suit all parties.
They play 3 at the back so I wonder whether he fits but a good deal if it works.

17 May 2024 18:30:26
AWB has a other year at the club, I'm not if there are any clubs interested in him?

ED002, what are the options for AWB this summer?

 1

{Ed002's Note - Aaron Wan-Bissaka (RB) Manchester United have invoked a one year contract extension as the replacement they had in mind is not interested in the move. Middle East may offer a solution. Inter Milan might be a wildcard solution.]

 5

18 May 2024 10:16:47
I think we'll see a lot of players leaving this summer. The new ownership is looking to start a significant rebuild and they need to reduce the wage bill and bring in some money from transfer fees where possible. They have also made it very clear that they want to have players who want to be at the club, and who want to fight for a place in the team.

If AWB wants to leave then they won't stand in his way and will look to get the best deal for the club.

That is the same for all players.

Ed02 could there be any legs in AWB to Inter with Denzel Dumfries coming the other way? Have seen Dumfries linked a fair bit recently but not sure if usual press click bait.

 0

{Ed002's Note - I would think it very unlikely. Whilst Inter would be ahppy to sell Dunfies he is not first choice for Manchester United and Inter have a very clear understanding of who they want to replace Dunfries already and are working towards it.}

 1

18 May 2024 11:17:02
Thanks ED002.

18 May 2024 13:32:02
Thanks Ed02.

18 May 2024 15:55:54
Thanks for the info ED002. A quick question if you don't mind, I believe I've read before that clubs can't trigger the one year extension with the intention to sell the player. Is it the case with AWB? Can united sell him in the summer now that united has triggered the cause?

 0

{Ed002's Note - They cannot do it for the purpose of profiteering.}

17 May 2024 12:02:28
Hello Ed,
Which strikers are the club considering this Summer?

 2

{Ed002's Note - I provided a list a couple of weeks ago.}

 2

17 May 2024 19:01:32
Thanks Ed will check the search.

17 May 2024 11:31:35
Tuchel leaving bayern, as reported today meaning he's heading to us?

 3

17 May 2024 13:11:03
Think so.

 1

17 May 2024 17:01:42
Hopefully. Would stabilize the ship and allow for INEOS to clear the deck in the next 18-24 months.

 2

17 May 2024 20:21:02
Why do we need Tuchel to clear the deck?

 0

17 May 2024 20:23:26
Celtic fan who has only seen utd twice this season. Tuchel wouldn't excite me. Didn't exactly rip it up at Chelsea plus Bayern not good domestically this season.

 1

17 May 2024 22:02:10
Xavi also leaving now and isn't Tuchel also on Barca's list?

 0

{Ed002's Note - No.}

 0

17 May 2024 08:53:37
Ed002 good morning.
Are united considering Allegri for the head coach position?

 0

{Ed002's Note - Not right now.}

 1

17 May 2024 11:10:25
Tuchel confirms Bayern exit, surely going to be him now?

 2

17 May 2024 10:45:27
Thanks 002. One more if you henge time.
Just wondering if there is any clubs showing serious interest in Greenwood or is he still considered too high risk in most clubs from a PR perspective.

 0

{Ed002's Note - Mason Greenwood (F) Time to move on - offered to Lazio, Marseille and Atalanta but none seem to be biting. Turkey or the Middle East might provide permanent options. Atletico Madrid or Real Sociedad may offer an option but the fee will be too high for Getafe to buy, but they will try to find a creative solution or another loan. He is on the list of Michael Emenalo, but that may not suit the player. Agent wants him to move to Italy for a fresh start.}

 2

14 May 2024 22:56:46
Hey ed002,

Sorry to bother you just wondering on the managerial front is kieran Mckenna on the list and is the interest in potter still there? I would like tuchel at united and i know you mentioned he would be 1st choice i just hope he doesn't turn it down. Thanks as always ed002.

 0

{Ed002's Note - Kieran McKenna (C) Will need a year or two in the Premiership to prove himself. Brighton may look to him if De Zerbi moves.

Graham Potter (C) A serious option for Manchester United and West Ham United. Has ties to Jim Ratcliffe and was offered the job at Nice. Ajax and Borussia Dortmund have him on their lists of options but he wants to remain in the Premier League and has already turned down Ajax.

Thomas Tuchel (C) On the list of options for Barcelona. Manchester United will provide an option as he knows Jim Ratcliffe well and he is likely first choice. Wildcard maybe a return to Chelsea but it would not be attractive to TT. Could be an effort from Bayern Munich to have him stay one more year.}

 5

15 May 2024 11:46:13
Ed, is Xavi not staying at Barcelona?

 0

{Ed002's Note - For another year. It gives them time to prepare. If he were to agree to another year at Bayern Munich, they will have their Plan B as they await their two promary choices and Tuchel could be lined up for next summer. He will consider his options.}

 3

15 May 2024 11:42:08
Thanks Ed002, your input always appreciated.

 2

15 May 2024 20:42:25
Called McKenna weeks ago.
EtH stays, completes the clear out.
McKenna continues the Tractor Boys run, secures mid table next year.
In his second year in Prem, pushes them for Europe.
EtH taps out having just missed out on Champions League for the third year in a row.
McKenna is installed in 2 years time.
United continue the process and McKenna is hailed as the greatest United manager in history, in 20years time.

15 May 2024 22:24:15
You’re still convinced ten Hag is moving on Ed? The media narrative recently has softened on his departure.

 0

{Ed002's Note - I am not convinced but I expect him to go, and the club have spoken to agents of potential replacements.}

 3

16 May 2024 10:44:19
Thanks Ed. Love your insight.

 0

16 May 2024 11:21:26
But but but Ken said he is definitely going and that ETH definitely knows he is going 😄.

 6

16 May 2024 13:31:37
I find it hard to believe the club will remove and replace every other key position at the football club but yet keep the manager the same.

Even if Ten Haag has legitimate excuses for this season performance, it makes sense to make a fresh start.

 2

16 May 2024 15:24:31
Doesn’t make sense if their preferred choice isn’t abailable (Tuchel) and thePlan B is not deemed as good as ten Hag.

 1

16 May 2024 21:44:58
Think ala Arteta and klopp the are hoping that the 3rd season is where it will all come together. can't think of another reason he would be kept.

 0

17 May 2024 05:47:42
When EtH first arrived I thought his strength was taking young unknown players and turning them into a team and he would be doing that with our academy players.

Now he has brought through Mainoo, given more playing time to Garnacho and bought Hojlund. With the likes of Willy, Harry and Ethan now on the fringes of the first team is this the way forward for Ten Hag.

 1

14 May 2024 11:02:46
Hi Ed hope all is well with you.
Has there been a developments on the managerial front?
Thank you.

 1

{Ed002's Note - No just yet but they have a clear list of options with different people having preferred choices still I understand.}

 7

14 May 2024 19:48:29
Thank you Ed.

 1

14 May 2024 21:09:48
Hope I don’t draw the ire of Ed002…. but could I respectfully ask if there is a majority in favour of one particular choice…. and if so, who is that choice? Thanks in advance.

 2

{Ed002's Note - As I have explained, the first pick would be Tuchel but he may not be keen.}

 4

14 May 2024 22:31:47
Seems like Bayern may be looking to go back to Tuchel according to German journos think you said there may be a chance of that ed.

Is the delay in announcing anything down to everyone wanted to make the decision not currently being in place or position resolved (Ashworth) ed? My thoughts are clarity either way would help everyone at this stage.

 2

15 May 2024 10:33:39
Brooks I think nothing needs to be addressed until after the cup final.
We have a chance to win that so I'd suggest keeping any announcements until after that. But I understand your point that it causes uncertainty. An employees job is to assume all things are the same until they hear otherwise.

 2

14 May 2024 21:54:00
Thanks Ed. Really appreciated.

 2

15 May 2024 05:48:46
Ed, Are we in danger now of having too many 'chiefs'? All wanting their's to be the final word? The complete opposite of what we have had, but maybe an issue all the same.

 1

{Ed002's Note - No. It will not be a case of people all wanting "the final word".}

 3

15 May 2024 11:51:35
Ken my thoughts have been the same re after the cup final, recently though things just seem to have tipped slightly too far and I think clarity would bring things back down to ground and everyone would know where they are at, also think it looks a little better than sacking someone after they potentially win something.

14 May 2024 10:57:47
Thomas Frank come on down. the latest link to the managers job. I have to admit he would be higher on my list than Southgate or Potter, very good manager who I like a lot.

 6

14 May 2024 11:34:14
Roll up roll up. We are doing the manager merry go round without actually committing to anyone. Well in the press anyway.

Frank would be an interesting one for me and is highly regarded by Klopp, has done a decent job with Brentford. Whether he fits the style the new leadershop want to impliment going forward is anyones guess.

 2

14 May 2024 13:00:35
Would anyone be interested in trying to pinch Emery? He seems to do well wherever he goes, playing good football.

 1

14 May 2024 13:25:40
Frank is an interesting option, I’d favour him over Southgate.

But I still wouldn’t put him above keeping ETH.

 1

{Ed002's Note - Thomas Frank (C) Bayer leverkusen are considering Frank as an option to replace Alonso if he departs. Some support for Frank at Manchester United but it would be a significant step up.}

 7

14 May 2024 15:51:07
Is alonso still not sure to stay at BL next season ed002?

 1

{Ed002's Note - No he is staying, but when he leaves they will be interested in Frank.}

 4

14 May 2024 21:31:53
OK thanks.

 1

14 May 2024 21:53:32
Frank Spencer.

 1

10 May 2024 21:20:02
ED002,

Have Utd shown any interest in Mandela Keita from Antwerp?

Thanks.

 1

{Ed002's Note - Mandela Keita (DM) Will make his move to Royal Antwerp permanent although they could be offered an immediate profit by Leeds or West Ham. Scouted by Rennes, Manchester United, Nottingham Forest, and Norwich. Any English club signing him would likely need to sign him as an exception, and that is not an attractive idea to most clubs. There is a chance that West Ham will look to an early offer.}

 2

11 May 2024 13:55:03
Thanks ED002,

Have a good weekend.

 1

{Ed002's Note - And you.}

Rumours online Bruno is out of tonight's game injured.

 1

06 May 2024 18:32:40
Mount can play the Bruno role tonight, might have do it again next season if we sell him.

 2

06 May 2024 18:39:34
That would make sense, I've just added him to my FPL team.

 6

06 May 2024 19:05:51
Yep not playing tonight, mount in for him.

 2

06 May 2024 19:11:55
Mount's chance to show he can be part of this team.
Possibly the weakest Utd bench I've seen in 40 years, hope the back four stay healthy!

 3

06 May 2024 20:14:39
Weakest team for 40 years.

 5

06 May 2024 20:49:22
2 keepers named, don't think I cam ever recall that. Can't wait for this season, and our injuries to be done with. Hopefully get some players back in time for the final.

 3

06 May 2024 21:11:32
Shappy ain’t that always the way!

 3

06 May 2024 22:55:54
Philip,

We’ve named 2 keepers on the bench in a large numbers of games this season.

 5

06 May 2024 23:01:06
Wazza, it seemed like a no brainer. Salah had been sitting there in my team doing F all since February.

Whereas, Bruno had scored 52 points in his previous 5 games and due to the fixtures had an extra game. He is also pretty much bulletproof and has only missed 2 games in over four years for us due to injury.

Ditching Salah for Bruno seemed like an easy option.

Then Bruno misses only his 3 game ever due to injury, while Salah pulls his thumb out his backside and grabs a goal and two assists. Go figure 🤷🏻‍♂️🤦‍♂️.

 6

07 May 2024 07:12:33
Shappy I also took Salah out this week. Fortunately for Saka because my mini league rivals have him, so it wasn’t too bad. I gambled on Bruno early, and took him out just before he started scoring 🤦‍♂️

It’s another close one between myself and WRD who is always up there at the end of the season.

 1

07 May 2024 13:20:34
Thanks GtS, hadn't noticed it before. As I said can't wait for season to be over and hope we don't ever have one as injury plagued as this one again.

 2

06 May 2024 14:24:38
Ed, Do you think we could see De Gea make a return to the club with Bayindir wanting out and Heaton leaving it seems at the end of the season.

 2

{Ed002's Note - No.}

 1

06 May 2024 15:33:43
Thanks for the reply ED.

 3

06 May 2024 18:43:56
More chance of Les Sealey.

 3

06 May 2024 19:34:20
For clarity, no idea Les was no longer with us. Just remembered a GK from the time I first began watching Utd.

 1

06 May 2024 21:11:58
As a centre back?
