hii ed first time poster and regular reader of the site. My question is do u think that rooney will accept the terms? And SAF put the contract infront of rooney is that lower wage contract I mean its 150 k or etc. Thanx in adv {Ed002's Note - I have no idea what the terms of any proposaed new contract are.}

And just on queue Ed we United are now linked with a £25m bid due to the Fabregas bid going nowhere.
Do you see this happening and do you think accept such a bid?
Thanks {Ed001's Note - yes, he was always the likely option due to them being open to a sale. It is just odd that United wasted time with Fabregas first. }

it look like all our target are gone, but there is one player who can improve our squad that's cristian erikson, why we r not in for him?
1.) Because he plays too high up the pitch for what we need. We already have Kags, Rooney, potentially Zaha, and Powell for that position.

why england not playing in fifa confedration cup?
1.) Because its the winners of the last World Cup, the host nation, and the six winners of the respective continental competitions, unless the winners of the continental competitions are the World Cup holders or the hosts, then the runner up plays (like Italy).
2.) You play in the confederations cup if you have won a major international tournament.
If a team meets two of the criteria then the runners up from one of the tournaments are picked.
3.) Because England didn't qualify.
The teams are
Brazil (Hosts)
Uruguay (Copa America winners)
Spain (Euro winners)
Nigeria (African Cup winners)
Japan (Asian Cup winners)
Tahiti (!) (Pacific Islands + Australia winners)
Italy (Euro runners up - Europe gets two spots)
It is sort of the Cup Winner's Cup for international teams.

1.) I honestly think Chelsea will be the bigger threat next season, Mourinho or no Mourinho. They have the basis of a good team, just need a couple of tweaks like replacing Torres with someone more prolific and replacing the aging spine of the team especially in the backline.
City if Mancini goes will have a new manager, most likely someone with no experience of the English game who has to adapt and get to know his players. Also City's squad does need some work on it, a lot of deadwood and passengers to be shipped out.

2.) If Mancini goes it's good for us, they are unsettled at the best of times and a change of that extend, which could see a lot of his staff go would really put them out of sorts.
Agree that Chelsea could be a threat but it depends on the manager. There does seem to be some unrest there, someone always has something to complain about.

I think sergio Ramos is good option he faster than what we have {Ed004's Note - Wouldn't want him here. The man is a liability and would cost a fortune. Not sure he would suit the physicality of the premiership as I could see him losing the head a lot easier over here}
Ed is there any strong interest from MUFC? He is great addition for us {Ed002's Note - I don't know how to measure "strong interest", but clearly he might be an option.}
