Ed, would you be so kind to share any info you have on Eder Militao of Porto please. We've been linked with him today and seems like a new one to me. Thanks in advance.

Elvis

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any approach and I am not sure if he could get a WP.}

1.) 28 Nov 2018 08:01:25
United plus any centre back under the sun is an easy story for any paper to write given our obvious deficiencies in the area and fans desperaion for new shiny toys.

19 Sep 2018 14:21:09
Over the last few days we've been linked with Lucas Paqueta at Flamengo, any info on this Ed? Apparently we are looking at a January deal, can't say I've ever heard him really. Thanks.

Elvis

1.) {Ed002's Note - It is an interesting question and I am surprised no one has aked before - but I guess few seem interested in transfers nowadays - just whining. Lucas Paqueta has been watched recently by Manchester United (or more precisely, on behalf of Manchester United) after advice taken from a third party. There was interest from several parties in the summer but the only direct approaches for the player I was aware of then were from Benfica (who can't afford him) and Milan (who had struggled to get the attacking midfield player they wanted and made an approach - but due to their finances and what they have to spend they would need to sell Suso to make it viable - but interest does remain still as we move in to the new season. Manchester City, Chelsea and Real Madrid all looked at the player on more than one occasion but none has shown any interestedntaking it any further at this time - he would be a replacement for David Silva at Manchester City but they have yet to agree how and when he will exit the club - and would he get game time? There is now interest growing from elsewhere with PSG looking at him as a more attacking midfield player than Rabiot who will be leaving, but space would need to be made by a side that is overrun with wingers at this time and having to play people out of position. Barcelona have had him watched and may look again now that Coutinho has taken Portuguese citizenship - although UEFA could yet object.}

2.) 19 Sep 2018 15:23:11
Interesting, thanks as always Ed.

{Ed002's Note - You are welcome.}

3.) 19 Sep 2018 15:37:31
In your opinion ed, is he worth a punt? (I have no info on him beyond you tube) and if so, how much do you expect him to cost the buying club?

{Ed002's Note - No, the feeling of some who have looked at him is that the English game would not suit a player interested primarily in tricks. You can see him end up in the stands on a regular basis. I would rather stay away from the finances for a while on the MU pages.}

4.) 19 Sep 2018 21:03:15
Cheers ed, he does seem like a Nani type on YouTube.

5.) 20 Sep 2018 11:45:17
Not suited to our league and specially our style of play. And I think he likes to play on the left wing. Everything we don't want, so basically it's a done deal.

06 Apr 2018 17:43:38
Everyone seen what Pep has just said about Raiola, Pogba and Mkhi?

Elvis

{Ed002's Note - I told you Pogba was being offered to other clubs.}

1.) 06 Apr 2018 20:22:19
Cant get my head around this. Completely ambivalent about Pogba leaving, but my malaise is how United look more and more stupid in each passing transfer window.

2.) 06 Apr 2018 20:47:41
Say what 😆😆 Didn't Harry Redknapp sign them two for QPR Ambivalent and Malaise 😆😆.

3.) 06 Apr 2018 20:52:50
Pogba can go if he wants he hasn't really been moving trees at our club.

There are tons of talented players out there.

4.) 06 Apr 2018 20:56:46
Lovely timing to come out an say that. Another dirty trick by that dirty cheat.

{Ed025's Note - mind games mort, you had the best in the business with SAF and jose is not far behind....so dirty cheat may be a bit stones and glass houses mate..

5.) 06 Apr 2018 18:08:25
just shows how much an agent runs a players carer.

obviously pogba doesn't want to be here, so sell him if that is the case.

{Ed002's Note - it is rather more the norm than you think. It is nothing more than MU be8ng offered Bale.}

6.) 06 Apr 2018 18:12:06
although from pogbas social media activity he seems to have no clue about it.

ed would an agent offer a player around without first making him aware?

{Ed002's Note - perhaps, but Pogba knows what is happening.}

7.) 06 Apr 2018 18:27:54
It just proves that the players and agents live in cloud cuckoo land. The star player couldn’t handle being dropped because he believes he is world class and needs his pathetic ego massaging. Riola sees another payday. Hate how the game has gone.

{Ed002's Note - it is more a case of “this is how it is.” Players are transient. If a player is struggling then other options will be looked at.}

8.) 06 Apr 2018 18:37:56
Ed002-its just as well pogba came to united for no other reason than his desire to play for the club, and not for the money and the fact that he gets more flex over here to indulge that cheeky youthful rascal that he is!

{Ed002's Note - The Pogba deal to go elsewhere - two other interested side- took the MU route over fees and total price to the club. MU were naive, the others were not.}

9.) 06 Apr 2018 19:44:32
Any takers Ed?

Also is Pogba happy or looking to move? Personally I don’t think he’s suited to either Man Utd under JM or the EPL. SMS may be a decent replacement.

{Ed002's Note - I cannot answer if he is happy or not.}

10.) 06 Apr 2018 21:48:51
Ed, is that by the agent or the club though? Surely that is a breach of some sort no? I guess this will rumble on now throughout the summer. Shame if we lose him, such a mess as usual.

{Ed002's Note - No, it is what agents do, how clubs buy players.}

11.) 06 Apr 2018 23:13:26
Let's hope it backfires on pep.

12.) 06 Apr 2018 23:41:59
Fair enough Ed. How do you see it panning out?

{Ed002's Note - A good question. Not sure anyone would take him at the asking price.)

13.) 06 Apr 2018 21:48:47
Ed025. if it's a lie by Pep then I'm not sure SAF ever stooped quite this low. If its the truth then he's entitled to do so isn't he?

{Ed025's Note - all is fair in love, war and football they say timbo, i remember fergie almost giving keegan a nervous breakdown with mind games mate..

14.) 07 Apr 2018 08:04:55
I don't think it is any surprise to be honest. Would people like shot or Jose to stick with the player .

Pogba was Jose star buy.

15.) 07 Apr 2018 08:12:00
I can see him being offered around but not to that lot. Sanchez has changed things for him at Utd. Pogba needs to be in the attacking mid role linking up with Lukaku but Jose sticks Sanchez there instead of putting him on the left or right. Maybe today he will answer Pepsi by grabbing the winner 😆😆.

16.) 07 Apr 2018 00:20:51
Just out of interest what's the asking price please Ed?

{Ed002's Note - The figure is unrelated to what Manchester United would receive from any transfer - it is rather higher. It is no different from the deal Manchester United signed up to when the two other interested sides would not go near the deal Mino was demanding.}

17.) 07 Apr 2018 10:15:30
Its what some agents do- people with no talent, pushing talent, to make lots of money.
Ed002- if you could please; is there anything in the pipeline with EPL, FA or UEFA etc etc to try and control agents within a regulatory body or the like?

{Ed002's Note - I think you are over generalising. There are already significant regulations in place. I am not sure what problem you see with the process.}

18.) 07 Apr 2018 19:47:45
Should have taken that deal pep, wouldn't have come to bite you back today.

07 Mar 2018 21:47:00
Ed, hope you don't mind me asking, a while ago you suggested that Milinkovic Savic was a primary target for United, just wondering if this is still the case? Thanks in advance.

Elvis

{Ed001's Note - yes.}

1.) 07 Mar 2018 23:23:09
Ed 001 isn't his agent ( name escapes me) a fomer player for jose at chelsea. Striker i think. Maybe that will help😂😂😂.

{Ed001's Note - Kezman yes.}

2.) 08 Mar 2018 19:15:47
Thats the chap ed001 thanks. I'm not sure if his relationship with jose is an advantage or not.
Ive watched him a lot this season ed. He is strong and very technically gifted he makes great runs off the ball and arrives at the right time to score goals a bit like lampard. His attitude is great he looks pretty unflappable and he doesn't get embroiled in a lot of the nonsense you see like eolling around or diving or chasing the ref. Passing range is great and reads the game like a seasoned pro.
Looks a bit one paced at times and with matic and pogba also not that quick that would concern me a little. But someone is going to get a great player. Madrid or ourselves probably.

{Ed001's Note - he is very good ken, one of the best prospects around. Scholes was one-paced, never stopped him being a great player. The first few yards are in the head as they say.}

3.) 09 Mar 2018 07:33:22
I agree with that ed but having all 3 in midfield without a turn of pace is not ideal.

{Ed001's Note - shouldn't matter if they are good enough mate. Barca's trio have never had a turn of pace in there.}

4.) 09 Mar 2018 12:21:13
How did his brother leave us Ed, was it amicably or otherwise? That might have some impact on wether he would join or not.

{Ed001's Note - amicably and speaks highly of the club in public at least.}

5.) 09 Mar 2018 12:58:22
thanks ed.

31 Jan 2018 13:24:07
Hope Ed doesn't mind me relaying this info, but on the European page, ED2 has said we are in for Jorginho and it could happen today.

Elvis

1.) 31 Jan 2018 14:46:29
I can't find it in the European page.

{Ed002's Note - He has told you what it says.}

2.) 31 Jan 2018 15:00:42
Thanks Edoo2, it was my fault that i didn't see it. You, all, are the best and i am really happy that i read you and not twitter etc, we aprecciate what you are doing for us. Cheers from Greece.

{Ed002's Note - You are very sweet.

So until it's mathematically impossible for us to reach top four, it looks like nothing will change, regardless of results. I think we can all agree that's ridiculous, but it's United so no surprises there. Only us fans seems to be paying the price as usual. So where do we go from here? I doubt we will we make big changes in Jan, maybe sign one at most, maybe let two go, something like that. No big scale changes due to the inevitable departure of Jose at the end of season. We won't win anything, limp to a 6th place finish at best IMO.

So how could it be better? How could it be more bearable and maybe have something to look forward to again. I think the only way for this, is to start blooding the youth and going for a young vibrant, fearless team. Something Jose has given up on it seems. Stick with them, stick with a core team and leave the others who have had chance after chance and constantly let us down. Bring though, Gomes, Greenwood, Chong etc. Play Dalot, Pogba, Martial, Rash, Pereira. This is why I'm sort of hoping at some point, Nicky Butt gets a chance to step in until the end of the season, the youth teams are the only teams who actually play like we should play. He's give them a chance and then whoever comes in next year, will have decent foundations. Jose might make us think our squad it terrible, but it's not. They are better than this and yes they should take more responsibility, but he doesn't inspire confidence in anyone.

Combine all this, a few decent signings in the summer and hopefully a good DOF and manager (Poch please) and next year could could be the exact opposite to this one. At the mo, it's hard to care, when it seems like everyone at the club doesn't. Its been a waste of a season and it doesn't feel like I'm supporting the same United I have all my life. It's bizarre. So fingers crossed something like this could happen, because at least it would be trying something different to what we have seen this year and going back to our clubs values. I can get over yesterday, but I can't keep seeing our club constantly being dragged through the mud and turning into anything but a football club. So here's hoping.

Elvis

1.) 17 Dec 2018 16:35:45
Elvis if only we could return some players to sender, it's now or never.

{Ed025's Note - love it leahy..

2.) 17 Dec 2018 18:50:37
Some suggest Jose wants sacking, but they have suspicious minds.

3.) 17 Dec 2018 18:53:25
More likely another season in Heartbreak Hotel.

4.) 17 Dec 2018 21:09:14
Especially after a "Blue Christmas "

28 Nov 2018 19:17:44
Have a question for you guys and i'm only playing devil's advocate, so don't kill me.

If by some chance we won the champions league this season, would you give Jose another year? Or would you get rid regardless, like LVG with the FA cup. Merci.

Elvis

1.) 28 Nov 2018 19:37:49
If by some chance! There’s as much chance of your namesake being found working in Tesco’s. But if we did, then yes I would kiss his feet.

2.) 28 Nov 2018 19:41:37
Champions league is a bit different to the FA cup. We've only ever won it 3 times. If Jose won that, he'd most definitely be staying.

3.) 28 Nov 2018 19:45:57
Elvis,

We have almost zero chance of winning the CL, but if we did then obviously he stays.

4.) 28 Nov 2018 20:56:23
Jose won't be staying even if he pulls off a miracle champions league win.
He will be fired before the end of the saeson or he will leave in the summer for another job.
If he wins the cl by some extraordinary set of circumstances it won't make any difference imo he will still leave in the summer.

5.) 28 Nov 2018 22:01:50
Elvis, . Your the devil in disguise.

6.) 28 Nov 2018 22:45:29
It is only theoretical as it will not happen but, but but. If he won yes I would still get rid as he would see it as perfect confirmation of his prehistoric tactics.
Any one on here queuing up for a few more seasons as good as this one.?

7.) 28 Nov 2018 23:00:19
Don't be cruel leave Elvis alone.

8.) 28 Nov 2018 23:17:36
Ok I'll let it be.

9.) 29 Nov 2018 01:38:52
After winning the ecl jose would be ready to step on some blue suede shoes. Watch out Pep!

10.) 29 Nov 2018 15:37:03
Ken,
I think January will provide an indication to the Summer. If JM is allowed to spend and sell then I don’t see him going. If little happens in terms of the transfer market in Jan I’ll agree.

11.) 29 Nov 2018 15:52:10
onto the beatles now leahy?

19 Oct 2018 22:41:17
Chong once again standing out for the U23's tonight, hopefully he'll get a chance this season at some point. I'm sure they don't want to rush him, but seeing as we lack anyone who can play down the right really, I don't see the harm. Could bring a bit of balance to the side.

Elvis

1.) 20 Oct 2018 07:59:35
Agreed mate he doesn't look far off does he.

2.) 20 Oct 2018 13:26:25
Missed the game did Gomes play and if so how was he.

3.) 20 Oct 2018 13:26:25

17 Aug 2018 16:49:31
Just wanted to say congrats to Andreas Pereria getting called up for the next Brazil squad. Been great since the start of pre season and hopefully will play a big part for us this year.

Elvis

09 Aug 2018 22:01:29
Frustrating as our window has been, I'm glad we didn't sign anyone for the sake of it. We all know our weak areas, but maybe the players we actually wanted just weren't going to happen. We are always linked with hundreds, yet based on what's happened this window, no one really knows what United are doing. I'm sure we will sign in Jan anyway, especially with the new player rules in the CL/ EL.

Looking forward, I just hope it comes together, I'm done with all the negativity and doom and gloom. So let's just get over it, move on and hopefully have a successful season, because despite what people might think, we do have a a lot of good players and manager.

Elvis

{Ed0333's Note - your manager is the catalyst of the doom and gloom. This siege mentality bollox is boring and annoying. You have a decent team who should be challenging but all we here is petty excuses and mundane mind games. It’s getting so old that your fan base is gradually seeing through it.

1.) 09 Aug 2018 22:13:50
Ed033, you've got it spot on.

{Ed0333's Note - thankyou mate. I have no problem with United it’s just your manager is annoying as F***.

2.) 09 Aug 2018 22:27:16
"your manager is the catalyst of the doom and gloom. This siege mentality bollox is boring and annoying. "

Ed, you say this as if us United fans have bought into this siege mentality. I don't think any of us have. Whenever Mourinho talks negative and $hit most of us haven't been supportive of it. None of us like our gameplay much. As I said in one of my earlier posts, this siege mentality works only if you are dominating or winning. Otherwise it just looks petulant and arrogant.

{Ed0333's Note - absolutely and I think more importantly that the players are not buying into the siege mentality crap.

3.) 09 Aug 2018 22:44:03
Yeah but when you looks at when his siege mentality was at its peak was during his first Chelsea stint.
He came in and Abramovich showered him with signings, he got every player he wanted and he won things with that team and dominated the league. At this point the siege mentality worked and his players and fans bought into it too.

We just have a Europa League (not what we aspire for) and Carling Cup to show far and we barely score any goals and OT goes to sleep every time we play. So United fans have no reason to buy into his siege mentality.

Sad part is despite the relatively low pressure to deliver (since Liv and City are frontrunners) I still trust Mourinho to turn more negative (gameplay and behavior wise) than positive. And this will affect the team and therefore the results.

4.) 09 Aug 2018 22:27:16

I do agree Ed, but it's also a mix of things that's happened even before JM. So despite it all, I'm just genuinely done with it and just want to support the team, not get caught up in all the BS that surrounds it. It's draining and makes you forget why you fell in love with football in the first place. Know what I mean?

{Ed0333's Note - I do mate I do. I lived through the Roy Hodgson era.

6.) 09 Aug 2018 23:32:04
Ed033, I think "lived" is a bit generous.

{Ed0333's Note - ha ha you’re right...maybe I should have said endured mate.

Completely agree Ed, it's almost like he wants to prove he can change whatever, whenever and reap in the glory when it pays off. Unnecessary changes last night lost us the game.

Elvis

{Ed001's Note - I was actually referring to Tuchel, but it does apply to Mourinho as well of late. He always had success with a small, tight-knit, squad that saw very little in the way of changes to the team he would pick. Strange how lately he chops and changes almost at random.}

Never was keen on us signing Alexis, nothing personal at all, but i'll be glad when he leaves. Really feel that City and United signed the wrong players, in Mahrez and Sanchez. Both would of suited the other team more. Oh well, onto the next.

Think it’s inevtiable both go tbh, depending on how successful the season is. If we do lose Pogba, we have to sign SMS to replace him, not sure about Jose. Still, a long time between now and then, anything can happen.
