How refreshing to watch Ajax play. Even with only nine men they tried to win. All their players seem to know exactly where they should be on the pitch and how to pass and move incisively. Wonder if their manager could ever be tempted to come to Utd.

I think based on what he's done at Ajax with a blend of youth and senior pros you'd think he is just what United need.
He can bring Hakim Ziyech for our Rw too.

Ziyech might get the headlines but it was Donny van dee Beek who was running the show. Such a clever player, his movement and controlling of the tempo in the final third was excellent.
Currently we have lots of players who run at opposition or in behind them. What we really lack is the player with a little guile and intelligence to knit the whole thing together.
Maddison might be my first choice, but van de Beek has to be right up there as an alternative.

i know i keep banging on about saul, but a midfield of maddison, va de beek and mctominay is not too shabby either adn very attinable.

Fat Tom, one eyed mick and tony with the gammy knee from the dog and duck midfield could rival fred periera and matic.
