Rooney, wilson and an injured hernandez are our strikers at the moment. They must be working on bringing another in or its already been sorted out. But who? Do the ed's have any information?

i think going by Depays comments he is expecting to play mainly as a striker,but agree with your thinking that unless a another recognized striker comes in we could look a bit light in numbers up front, but i'm happy in the way the squad is coming together

It won't be Zlatan. I expect Memphis will play through the middle along with Rooney and Wilson. I do think that we will be working on a striker though once Schneiderlin and Otamendi are done.

Doubt it fresh, he is a winger by trade and will only be used up top as a last option. What is the fixation of trying to change players natural positions? Buy a player for a position and stick with it, instead of putting square pegs in round holes.

Ed's, De Gea has been quoted as saying "Real Madrid? I have to return to Manchester United for pre-season" surely if the transfer was going to happen it would have by now? If he is going then united will need a better goalkeeper than valdes next season.

Why would he come out and bang on about signing for Madrid when there's a chance it might fall through and he'll be hated by the fans for it all, the lad is being smart if it does fall through then 'it was all rumour'.

If you wanted to read things into his turn of phrase he says i have to return not i am or will be returning. Might mean nothing and equally could mean i have to return due to feelings he owes the club/fans loyalty or similar reasons. Unfortunately for us if he worded his response deliberately in my opinion the former is more likely.

Ha ha i remember kloot and also his earlier rft name but rarely agreed with him the banter was good with posters. Although i welcome anyones return i'm sure he wouldn't be offended to know i haven't composed a post about his reappearance.

Why on earth is no one being linked with William Carvalho? If his performances are consistently like the ones in the u21 matches recently then he's going to be some player? Any interest from United or anywhere else recently EDs?

{Ed007's Note - The last I heard was that Arsenal and Utd were interested but nobody would pay the kind of money involved.}
