Loads of talk this morning Chelsea are in for Pedro and he's in London having medical - Any of the Eds know anything about this?

unitedlover

{Ed001's Note - I don't get it, but it is true. Not sure why Chelsea want him, but there you go.}

1.) 19 Aug 2015 13:12:25
Panic buy, Cuadrado anyone? lol

2.) 19 Aug 2015 12:48:10
Ed001, do you think any of it goes back to Chelsea's habit of moving for opponent's targets? Abramovich seems to have authorised it in the past.

There's no way he's better than what they have already.

{Ed001's Note - I think they just had to get someone in to give them a lift and most of their options were out of reach this summer. Griezmann was out so it was a case of looking elsewhere. They couldn't stay with what they had, the club did need that lift and he will suit the Jose system quite well, like Willian does.}

3.) 19 Aug 2015 14:41:57
Absolutely delighted Pedro isn't coming, with his big sulky head, any club he was going to go to was a step down. I think an out and out cb is all we need. felliani as a centre forward is ideal and I'm delighted chicharito is back, there's a great skill mix there that allows us to change tactic dramatically in a game and not many defenders are capable of dealing with both , last night being a great example. I really hope he starts giving pereira a chance too, he looks like an outstanding prospect and full of skill. Last night was an entertaining game, januzaj and depay made it exciting, I think pereira has something special like these two, signing Pedro would only hinder his development.

4.) 19 Aug 2015 20:24:53
Thanks Ed. Personally don't think he's close to Willian in terms of work-rate and energy, and he's not got the class of Oscar. Not comparing to Hazard for obvious reasons.

He would have improved us but not a huge amount, so not too big a kick in the teeth really.

Hi Eds, without sounding to gullable, is there any truth in these Ronaldo returning rumours in the summer or is it just lazy journalism gone mad again?

unitedlover

{Ed002's Note - I know nothing about what you read on Twitter or in the press.}

1.) 18 Mar 2015 11:33:40
I think its just gossip mate. He is to much of a marketable machine for Madrid to let him slip through their slimey fingers at the moment.

01 Sep 2014 14:47:37
Anyone got any info on realistic centre half targets for today?

unitedlover

1.) We may just wait until next summer to go for Hummels again? Is there any experienced CB's that we can bring in on loan for a season?

2.) 01 Sep 2014 15:00:08
Think if we sign anyone else it will be completely out of the blue, like most of our signings have been, just going to have to wait and see!

3.) Shawcross and Roncrete

4.) Varane isn't first choice for Madrid atm although they're a little thin at cb and so I can't see them wanting to lose him.

30 Jan 2014 14:10:59
Anyone know of any realistic late signings before tomorrow? Is Kroos likely to be on?

unitedlover

1.) I don't see anything significant happening before the window closes. Hope I'm wrong, but don't think I will be, unfortunately. Think a bit of groundwork has been done for summer though.

2.) From what Ed002 has mentioned previously, Garay and/or Lucho Gonzalez are the most likely potential arrivals.

3.) Erm hasn't lucho already moved? I hope we aren't moving for him, he would make carrick look like usain bolt. Maybe you mean Fernando?

4.) Here's my 2 cents worth on the whole shinanigans. I don't feel we can make top 4 without more signings! Beating Liverpool to 4th is now our objective now as we. Are kidding ourselves if we think we can challenge PR even finis above arsenal, city or chelseal. Their managers have just given themselves enough or a gap to not have to worry about us.

Who we need?

We as we all know are desperate for a cm and for Me the most likely is ktoos!

IMO if we could have bright coentrao in it would have happened by now and should have done as Luke Shaw was always going to go to Chelsea.

If neither of them come in I think that's us Don until the summer.

5.) Appologies, I meant Otamendi.

6.) I believe If we have a healthy front line for the run in we will finish top 4.

Don't be fooled by Liverpool's result over the weekend as it was more to do with Everton's amateur our set up and handing them the match on a platter than them being out of this world.

Ive posted on here before and started to read a lot more recently, but just wondered who the Eds are and why they have such creditability? Just keen to be in the loop. Thanks in advance.

unitedlover

{Ed004's Note - Im just a your average Joe, 07 (Bond) is your typical Scottish drunk and we aren't sure on Ed 2. Ed 7 has made various libelous claims about Ed 2 and they're activities}

1.) Ed002 says he is a rodeo clown. I personally think he's the stig.

2.) Haha i'd love to say this clears things up but it doesn't! :) Thanks for note anyway!

Serious decline? Please tell you’re not actually thinking that? That's dramatic! Do you really think that Fergie alone appointed Moyes, without having the boards backing? Listen, I’m not saying Moyes has been perfect. He’s made some daft decisions and as he perhaps could have done himself a favour and kept the back-room staff to ease the transition, but he probably wanted to get his feet under the table as quick as possible and make United his own team. Yes Fergie casts a big shadow, as he had a regime for 27 years, whereby the players, staff and especially us fans followed and accepted that – Now he’s left that regime has been broken and in the modern game rebuilding something that solid takes time, but when it is rebuilt, the foundations will be even stronger! You actually think we’re close to serious decline, because we’re having a bad run of form and results… Come on mate, did you leave the Nou Camp after 90 minutes during the 1999 Champions League Final? Did you leave White Hart Lane at half-time when Spurs were 3-0 up back in 2001? Did you sell your season ticket when City beat us 6-1, because you thought we were finished? We’re United and we bounce back and always come back stronger! So get behind your manager because he won’t be going anywhere for a while.

My point is that by backing Moyes, you're trusting your faith in the club. He was hand picked by Fergie himself and do you not remember what Fergie said at his last appearance at Old Trafford? 'Its now your job to stand by your new manager'. Moyes is not trying to destroy the team, he's trying to rebuild it properly with a group of players that will have longevity. Would you rather us get rid of him now and start the spiral of a different manager every six months? United ethos is to rebuild and that's what we're doing now. The club needs support not criticism!

Perhaps this is because teams don't want to sell their top players mid-season? What did you expect when a new management team took over? Transition after a 27 year regime will take longer than just 5/6 months! If you're a true fan you'll back Moyes no matter what and trust in United's decisions - Right now we can either water our crops over time to create a vast sustainable empire or we can dump nuclear waste on our land and grow tomacco.

Listen I'm not saying that we don't need results and yes a 4-0 thumping is what we need to get the players confidence up! It's your duty as a manage to predict and plan and it's our duty as a fan to support and believe!
