Pedro to chelsea, the one player we were supposedly after, embarrassing board haggling over a million or 2 when we have enough transfer funds in the bank as said by the board and lvg and the small 750m kit deal with adidas, what is going on?can we not attract big names to our amazing best club in the world any more?

No we can't attract big names, pedro is the best player in the world and we can't attract him, it's game over, might as well call the season off and start again next year.

Where did I say pedro was the best player in the world?never said game over let's try again next year?when I said can we not attract big names anymore it's obvious what I mean bale happy at Madrid muller not going to leave bayern,pedro is a big name in football not the biggest but done it all,u know what I mean,so am I going to be eating my words at the end of the season?are we going to be premier league champions?are we going to be champions league winners?I think not with the players we still need,4th lucky to get 3rd probably last 16 in champions league depending on who we get in the group,anyone who thinks we wil finish higher than city arsenal or Chelsea not being disrespectful but u need your heads testing,!!!!! Yeah your probably right GDS2,tbh my little rant wasn't just because of pedro it's the wasting time trying to go after players who we ain't going to get,why not use the time going after a top cb not Ramos who ain't going to leave madrid even the otamendi scenario now city look like getting him,they must be decent enough players if city and Chelsea are going to nip in there b4 us and bag them if not why would they waste the money?we need someone who can stop the goals going in against us and someone who can bang them in at the other end or just give Rooney a bit of a run for his money

Arsenal mertersacker koscielny, city mangala kompany otamendi, Chelsea terry cahill maybe stones, all world class, united smalling class at times scary most times jones injury prone evens obviously van Gaal don't rate him rojo not match fit, not one world class blind really effective in cb place but world class? At the moment I don't think so, so where does that leave us? 3rd 4th place again? We want better than that, I know I do and u reds out there do too! Seeing city last 2 games against West brom and Chelsea they are surly going to tear us a new one, and after the performance tonight which don't get me wrong was good but not challenging for prem league champions league good, I might be just picking but I for one expected at least a class cb n cf signing to bring us up to scratch with the other top teams but it don't look like it's going to happen, feel free to shoot me down!!!!

Well are defence didn't do that bad last season did it? This year we have A much better rb a lb who is now fitter than ever and we have improved dm.
We are going to be very hard to beat this season, it would be great if we get a cb but atm a striker and rw is more important

LOL I am not sure how to even respond to that. Only kos might be considered by some in that category the rest i don't think so. Smalling is at the moment as good as you will find.

You can't look at a defence based on its individuals. Its a well drilled unit!! I think the addition of darmian, scheiderlin and a renewed shaw have allowed smalling and blind to flourish. Chelsea cb are faltering atm becos there defensive unit as a whole is lacking. they lack protection at times and ivanovic and azpilacueta has not started well.

At the moment, not sure any of them are world class with the exception of Koscielny. Mertesacker is too slow, John Terry looks more vulnerable on occasion as well, and even Kompany can be reckless at times.
As far as our back four, we have all been delighted so far with Darmian, Smalling, and Shaw. Blind seems like he will get found out, but so far he has done very well. Not saying he is the answer, but he deserves credit thus far.

I keep hoping we sign a world class cb because we obviously need at least one, anybody think we will get one and if u do who? Everyone we seem to be linked with either have new deals in place or we ar apparently not intrested in so I I can't help think we ain't going to be getting one because tbh there ain't loads available out there that would be fit for the prem.

Don't know about anybody else but if adm is going to be the way he is acting I for one wil be glad to see the back of him, shame though tbh because he is an amazing talent, maybe he ain't cut out to be a prem player like a lot of so called stars that's why I bet a lot of them don't make the switch because they are scared of our top quality best league in the old, BRING ON NEXT WEEKEND !!!!! come on u REDS!

New time user been reading the posts for years only just thought I'd sign up for this site, love the banter and views, I like every red fan on here loves the gossip!, just wanna chuck my opinion in here, I wanna say that I think the only thing we need to make our great team complete is a world class cb maybe otamendi, himmler can't see it though tbh after saying wants to say at dortmund, but if we get a world class cb I'm sure smalling rojo mcnair would be amazing alongside a player of that calibre would flourish and form an amazing partnership, maybe we just need that leadership there to be the making of one of the cbs we already have.

Has city signing otamendi and Chelsea signing pedro pushed them both even further in front of us?the players we were supposedly signing or in for gave gone to direct oppression and made them stronger I'm my opinion and left us further behind.
