i think cleverley to villa has fallen through Syd.

1.) I think his wage demands are silly if true. He will playing reserve football most of the season as I can not see how he even makes the bench for any games. Fellaini, Carrick, Blind even Anderson for me are way ahead of him.

2.) If he refuses to drop his wage demands it says a lot about him as a person. Whilst I never thought he was good enough for us he always came across as a true profession who wanted to succeed. Leaving Manchester United is what's best for his career and he should be doing everything possible to make that happen.

3.) I think the rumours of him seeing out his contract are true. Bad advice from his agent if true. He has a chance to repair his career and Villa are a decent club. Better than sitting in the stands for a season.

Seems he's asking for the sort of salary you would expect for being a free transfer.

4.) It's our own fault for giving average players like Cleverley long contracts with wages that are too high. The lad obviously still thinks he's a top class player, and doesn't think he should lower himself to team like Villa. But, in all honesty, we only have ourselves to blame for having players like Cleverley, Nani and Anderson eating away at our wage budget.

I heard it was because Cleverley is so method he even passes on transfers.

Interesting, with Zaha, cleverly shinji on there way and injuries to our midfield who do you think will play Saturday with fletch?
