To all the eds do any of you know if the rumours that we have got a deal on place with gaitan is true or not?

If Di Maria is off then I can see some traction in this story.
The guy has been linked with us for a few years now. The coaching staff could probably write a dissertation on his abilities with the amount of scouting reports the club must have on the player.

Can't see the Di Maria wanting to leave stories coming to a conclusion until new season starts. They seem to be everyday now. i'd take Gaiten to cover Di Maria,s position,then swap Di Maria for Cavani.Going to be one hell of a midfield. Just a centre back and top striker needed now.

Wide positions. Ashley young played well last year , but can he replicate that kind of form , Januzai seems IMO to have fallen down the pecking order , Mata is no way a wide man , Valencia is ok until he has to cross the ball , he either over cooks it ,or turns back into trouble. Depay is new to the premiership and may take time to settle . The point I was making is Gaiten is very similar to Di Maria and would be a welcome addition , The Di Maria saga could be one similar to the Sterling one at LFC. I hope I'm wrong because in the right frame of mind he is world class , Again it would be agents brokering deals and turning players heads to line their own pockets. I'm sure when he returns from his jollies he would have already made up his mind . I think he his PSG bound myself and one of theirs comming to us.
Just my opinion no need for any of you to kick off.

Gaitan is a step down from Nani. I hope ADM stays I think he will be class this season with the midfield we've now got. There is a reason that he is the only outfield player that the big clubs want, why would we let him go makes no sense to me. Especially to be replaced by Gaiten who would sit on our bench

Every year the Gaitan rumour seems to come out almost as if our name is being used for something or in hope it will come true. Frankly I will be extremely disappointed in LVG if he let's ADM go and brings Gaitan in as any sort of replacement. I know we let the person controlling cones leave but Gaitan is an expensive option to replace him. I specifically watched Gaitan when he played at OT about 4 years ago and he was nothing special at all. If we are looking for top quality Gaitan isn't it, I would rather give Januzaj or even Gribben a game.

Ed there has been a lot of talk about possible transfers this summer but who is likely to actually happen. Cause going by the rumour mill we have signed everyone. Lol

What a bit of news today. From what i see is that jose has manufacturer his exit to be able to join bayern in either january or the summer. With pep leaving bayern he will be heading to manchester. Hopefully we get him in january and say good bye to van gaal. Ancelotte would be a great option if we don't get pep. But should be a massive transfer window. I don't see the board at mufc leaving van gaal till the summer. He has upset a lot of players and a board member. Exit on the cards me thinks.

There is no chance Pep will leave Bayern in January. He's been in talks with City for some time and will likely replace Pellegrini at the end of the season. I don't see Bayern wanting Jose and expect they've already agreed a deal with Ancelotti.

Bit of a strange question for any ed that can answer it. I was watching motd tonight for the chelsea arsenal game. At the end of the programme they were talking about football focus and showing pictures and videos of some of the players you can obviously expect to see. However there was two none premiership players amoungst them one being buffon and the other was bale. Any ideas to why they were on there?

With all the tranfer rumour going around there is also background talk going on that manchester united will not be reveiling anymore signings at least till the 1st of august due to the new sponsors addidas taking over. Rumour has it they want big marquee signings and them not to be unveiled till then. Does any of the ed's know if there is any truth in this?

I think cavani would be a awesome signing. Look at the patch when ibra wasnt playing for psg and cavani got played more central. He is quick and strong with a powerful shot. Would make a great addition. As for what united need. Well i believe rooney should take over from carrick. He has the passing ability and the engine. He has been training with scholes on his passing game and its worked. He would sure up the middle of the park and he is a dogged defender. He defends as much as our current defenders week in week out. Massive team player and i think he would love to be our midfield maestro.
