Rumours have it that United have bid 40 million euros for Sami Khedira! Surely not. we are not that desperate are we.
On the other hand, Herrera seems to have agreed personal terms with the club with the only piece in the puzzle left is for United to pay the money.
Fellaini hands in transfer request prior to his move to United, seems like things could be going into place.

THE SHINING KNIGHT

1.) Wasn't the story that they had left without paying the money?

2.) Some issue with you don't pay the club to pay the buy out clause you go to the tax department(or somewhere like that) but when there could not pay them, but guillem balague says window may stay open for a extra hour for utd to sort this

BREAKING: United meet release clause for Biblao's Herrera. I honestly have never seen him play and Youtube videos don't do justice. Can anybody inform me on the type of player that he is and how he will improve the team.

Thank you.

THE SHINING KNIGHT

1.) A very clever, tactically astute player with a good passing range. Balague says he will be one of the best in the EPL by the end of next year - could be good. Could of done with an immediate fix though!

2.) He ripped us apart when we played Bilbao.

3.) He is a midfielder in the mold of the Fabregas and Iniesta's but not at that level.

Although to be fair he does not have the players around him that barca have, so who knows maybe just as good. Quick, dribbles, passes forward and gets into the box. What scholsy used to do and what we don't have. He is not big but will run all day for you and a typical gifted spanish midfielder.

I think it might take him some time to get used to the pl but what is more interesting is what he can do with Kagawa interlinking with him. I think Cleverly is a benchwarmer with him joining once he gets settled.

If true and we do this in a civilized way it open the door for future deals with Bilbao who have lot's of very good players with Muniain and Demarcos and sussieta(spelling) also very good players.

Finally, he tore us apart a couple of years ago and they made our midfield look like a division 3 team. I am not counting our chickens until we see something official from either club.

4.) Cracking potential. Great defensively & a good pass success rate. Barcelona have been tracking him & he was earmarked as a potential successor to Iniesta or Fabregas should he have joined us. Great business if we can get this tied up, herrera & Fellaini would give us a great midfield.

5.) He's an alternative to Cesc Fabregas who clearly wasn't available.

6.) Yes I can tell u most easy!

he will give us options to choose from which we clealy lacked last season

rest to be seen.

Di Maria not in the Madrid squad at all for today's game. Pretty much sums up the fact that Madrid could be preparing for life without him. Potential sign for things to come?

: According to Guillem Balague, Manchester United's desperate bid to sign Ander Herrera is "completely dead". That would be a devastating blow for the Red Devils, given we had been lead to believe that that deal would go through and that it was merely being held up by a paperwork problem.

According to AS, the Manchester United delegation have left the LFP HQ without paying Ander Herrera's buy-out clause because of a 'bureaucratic problem'.

ARE YOU SERIOUS?!

Anybody willing to bet a fiver that we aren't going to sign anybody?

THE SHINING KNIGHT

1.) Knight

You should learn to read Spanish. AS' report refers to an action yesterday by United and states the buyout clause has now been met.

2.) Apparently MU may ask for an extra hour to get the deal done. The gods are doing their best to **** things up for us. We have done everything right in regards to the Herrera payment. We have done a medical and agreed a five year deal.

3.) What is the hold up then Syd? Tax reasons or what?

I agree with most people on here that Fellaini is not the best player out there. But if you think about it he is the player that we need and are clearly lacking. And David Moyes knows how to utilise him to his fullest potential and strengths. He will definitely solve our issues in midfield with his strength and great ability to hold up the ball.
I would honestly say that spending 60 million pounds on him and Ozil would certainly set us up for the season. I would play RVP up front as a lone striker then play Kagawa, Ozil, and Rooney if he stays (trade for Mata if he decides to go to Chelsea) and a midfield of Carrick and Fellaini. Now we have both strength and creativity in our midfield in comparison to carrick working his socks off trying to fulfill both being the strength and the creativity in midfield.

THE SHINING KNIGHT

1.) Admittedly not my first option, but you need to look at the positives as Moyes clearly wants him. That is itself is a positive, both Fellaini and Baines are known to Moyes and his coaching staff. Neither would need to relocate and both are EPL proven. This means they would settle straight into the team. Then consider we are missing a bit of muscle in midfield and we do need a better defensive option than Evra. So will they improve our first XI? Yes, but there are better options available.

2.) Yeah, of course there are always better options. But do we have the money and power in the market to be able to sign them? Not by the way we are currently doing our business. Therefore they are the only viable options available for United right now and Ozil or Modric would be a marquee signing that will most likely never happen.

3.) So what are we waiting for. He has done well against city and Chelsea in the past. So what are we waiting for?

4.) Ozil banies falleni mata swap for wazza I would be an amazing summer!

5.) Fellani would add needed strenght in midfield don't forget Carrick does all the passing Baines would add to an already good defence and somebody like D

Then step in Woodward! What is he waiting for? Fellaini and Ozil and we'll be set for the season and have one of the strongest midfields in the league.

By signing Baines we would unsettle Evra. Let us not forget that Evra has been playing brilliantly and is also our vice captain. So why not save the 15-18 million pounds that we would have spent on him to buy an attacking winger hat could cross the ball, such as Di Maria for example. Fellaini is a must buy because he can bully nearly any player in the BPL and is the same type of player as Yaya Toure, which is exactly what we need.

Fellaini and Herrera are pretty close to being done deals. In order for United to be able to get Mata, they would need the cooperation from the player himself and have him submit a transfer request in order for United to have their offer accepted by Chelsea. Let's just hope and pray.
