PSG have lunched a bid for Lacazett. It has been reported in some quarters. If this is true, what hapoens to Cavani? If any ed is about could u please shed light if there is truth in this rumours. Thanks for the good job u are doing always.

Yokoman

{Ed004's Note - I think they confirmed that Cavani would remain their next season}

1.) 23 Jul 2015 21:11:27
Ibra seems more likely to move if lacazette signs for PSG given his age.
Decent signing if they manage to get it over the line along with di Maria. Will defo be pushing even harder in Europe this year.

Don't really get why they bought stambouli from spurs though the lad couldn't get a game while he was in England.

2.) 24 Jul 2015 09:35:21
And in other quarters they may "breakfast" a bid for De Bruyne. :P

Its been a while since i post on the site but i constantly read the varied contributions of you all here on the pagè including the eds esp editor 2 who went away when we needed her most. Some post down about Neymer being the no3 player in d world got me thinking and iinquisitv to ask buddies here their opinion on who they consider the third best player after Ronaldo and Messi. Eds opinion too are welcomed. Thank you all for your opinions in advance.

Yokoman

{Ed004's Note - Last night might be playing on my mind as Neymar just hit 4 goals and an assists. However, I think at the very least he is top 5. On form atm he is top 3 IMO}

1.) 18 Oct 2015 21:05:24
I rate Suarez ahead of Neymar.

2.) 18 Oct 2015 22:11:08
Suarez would be better for the EPL imo. I think Neymar would go missing in a lot of games over here.

{Ed004's Note - I am not sure. He's a better player than Sanchez, Hazard etc and look how much of an impact they make}

3.) 18 Oct 2015 22:15:00
David Bellion has matured into the player I think we all knew he would. The one that got away.

4.) 18 Oct 2015 22:20:54
What about Vardy?

5.) 19 Oct 2015 06:13:44
I rate Suarez and Bale ahead of Neymar. I think Neymar has not really impressed in d big stage as expected and may not go beyond what he is doing now unless he leaves Barcelona or messi leaves.

6.) 19 Oct 2015 09:05:44
Yokoman

I agree. Suarez is more durable and Bale who seems to have 2 injury spells every year, so for me Suarez ahead of bale.

Aguero is up there for me in the top 5 but he also has the same issues as bale with injuries not helped by how city use him.

7.) 19 Oct 2015 09:27:45
Yokoman,

Doesn't Neymar have 46 goals in 67 games for Brazil and scored in the Champions league final last year? He scored 10 goals overall in the Champions League last season as well, how much bigger a stage do you want him on?

8.) 19 Oct 2015 09:44:02
Yeh, but other than that what has he done? :)

9.) 19 Oct 2015 11:49:13
Current form, Lewandoski! Special mentions to Aguero, Zlatan, Bale, Robben and Sanchez.

Sorry to ask. Which ed(s) is/are Man United fan(s)?

Yokoman

{Ed001's Note - Ed004 is the Man Utd fan, but he is away on his holidays at the moment, teaching the Spanish about football tactics with his whiteboard and iPad. For some reason he hasn't had much success with girls yet, not sure why, you would think they would love to hear all about the different formations LVG employed over the course of last season. Sadly though, each time he gets to the interesting part, the bit about his usage of Fellaini, the girls always go to the toilet and vanish.}

1.) 15 Jul 2015 13:27:25
HAHAHA. Thanks ed for the swift response.

2.) 15 Jul 2015 13:21:34
I love Ed001. There I said it.

{Ed001's Note - Ed007 is that you? We have been through this, you are married and I will be soon, you just have to get over this infatuation!}

3.) 15 Jul 2015 13:25:54
I thought ed007 was the wise crack

{Ed001's Note - wise? Ed007? On crack would be closer than wise crack!}

4.) 15 Jul 2015 13:39:34
Ed001 has to be my favourite Liverpool fan by far! No actually, the only Liverpool fan I would, and do, happily give my spare time to take notice of. Still don't know how any of you have the time to be eds on here.

{Ed001's Note - understanding other halves is essential mate. Or just be like Ed004, whose other half is his tactics whiteboard, that he carries with him everywhere. He will be regaling the locals right now with talk of the different formation options available to Manchester United next season. He is still awaiting a call back from TED about doing a tactics talk at one of their conferences. So far it has been 2 years and they haven't called back, but he is sure they will call tomorrow.}

5.) 15 Jul 2015 13:27:25
HAHAHA. Thanks ed for the swift response.

6.) 15 Jul 2015 13:56:34
To be honest 001 , I always though Ed004 was actually Fresh! with an Editors account.
Of course , he may not be fresh , but personal hygiene is a whole other issue.

{Ed001's Note - oh believe me we all say the same thing about Ed004. It has been a long running joke on the editor's widget about him being Fresh!. Especially earlier this summer when a similar name on Nottingham Forest started posting similar things about Forest as Fresh! does regarding United. I was wondering if he was just saying he was on holiday so he could post as Fresh! for a few days to 'prove' it is not him.}

7.) 15 Jul 2015 13:58:48
Ha ha do you guys ever get together for a night out? Can imagine it being an interesting evening :-)

{Ed001's Note - not really, we all live in different places so it is not that easy. Though I did meet up with Ed025 and Ed003 for a day out. Not many places would let us in as Ed025 refused to wear trousers over his budgie smuggles. When I took my daughter to see the wrestling a few years back, before she hit double figures and grew out of it, Ed007 and his wife came with us, which was very interesting to say the least. He was more excited than my daughter, but I thought it was a bit much when he was screaming at one of the wrestlers asking him to marry him while his wife is sat there. Mind his wife insisted on wearing the least believable wig in the whole world the entire time, which was odd. I guess if I was blonde I would probably take to wearing a brunette wig too though.}

8.) 15 Jul 2015 14:10:23
i miss Fresh' 20 line ups a day!

{Ed001's Note - is he not posting them the last few days? Maybe he is away on holiday then?}

9.) 15 Jul 2015 14:20:11
:-) He is a Celtic fan though ed, was he wearing a kilt and continually munching on deep fried Mars bars?

{Ed001's Note - ah you've seen the pics on FB then? You should have heard him complain when the staff at the NEC had orange sashes over their blue tops.....}

10.) 15 Jul 2015 15:19:26
I would if I was allowed! But apparently I ruin the banter page by doing it haha.

{Ed001's Note - that is why we created the teams and formation page for you.....}

11.) 15 Jul 2015 15:46:47
See Fresh! You really are special, got your own page to run wild and free!

Am still not recovered fully from the daze I suffered as a result of the news of our signings that greeted my Monday morning. I however kept surfing the net minute by minute since then with this feeling that I will yet see a news that will finally knock me off to wake up on Prem's dee day.
Read somewhere that our 100m Euro bid for bale was rejected by Madrid-how I wish we get this fella and I will stick my neck for the 21sth win.
The coming in of the two Ss will pose a new challenge as to who btw Mata and Harera plays.If ua to choose btw them, who will it be for you?
Thanks fella in advance for your contributions.

Yokoman

1.) 14 Jul 2015 16:12:51
Herrera for me having the gruesome schwooshm will bring out the best in both mata and Herrera in fact I think those signings will bring a whole new dimension to our attack can't wait for new season

2.) 14 Jul 2015 16:36:09
Depends on formation for me

In a 4-3-3 i'd have herrera as the third midfielder because of his energy and him being better defensively than mata

In a 4-2-3-1 i'd have mata at no 10 behind rooney with less defensive responsibilty and the 2 solid schmidfielders behind him

Reading comments down about our down in form from last season and i beg to comment thus: fergie is to blame for it all. 5 seasons or so to his retirement was when our form begin to deteriorate. We needed fresh but key players in our team and he did nothing and we couldn't make an impact in Europe. While other teams were busy making changes in their team spending to get real players we relied on players like Babe, Anderson, Cleverly, Oshea, Brown, Evans and the likes who could not be constant even in mid table teams. He couldn't plan for the future of the team. As if that was not enough, he brought in a manager that no real players will be attracted to be under him bcos he was a mediocre. Now we are a bit of a doubt to world class stars not bcos we cannot pay their wages but bcos they are not sure we are a force anymore. players now prefer to go to Chelsea, man. city, PSG, Beryan and now Arsenal (Ozil) rather than come to us. Not to talk of Real and Barca who have established themselves as d best teams in d world. We keep deceiving ourselves about being a great club, yes we 'were' but will soon be in d history books if nothing is done seriously.Now we know that our history is not just enof to attract what we need but we need to splash the cash also to get them here so we can remind d world how great we were. It hurts me to see teams like Chelsea, Barca, Bayern getting their players on d cheap while we waste money yet getting what they are not interested. What so we think?

Yokoman

1.) 30 May 2015 00:56:44
I think you're possibly the most negative person on the page

2.) 30 May 2015 08:59:38
I think we are d biggest club in d country, if you think we aren't because we haven't won the league for 2 years then you are incorrect.

First time poster in here. Nice site beautiful contributions. Anytime I read a comment praying for Nani to be sold, I wonder why Nani not Valencia? is it that people here consider Valencia better than Nani or feel we will get more from selling Nani instead? I for one will feel beter that the one legged player be sold> his form is dropping too quick for my liking.

1.) Get rid of both and throw Young in there as well, all 3 play are wingers and as far as I'm concerned they are not good enough to play in Utd shirts.

2.) Nani has been frustrating for years. He has had 1 patch of sustained from for about 4 months but apart from that we only see glimpses of what he is capable of, interspersed with him falling over clutching is face, giving the ball away, hitting the 1st man from a corner, or picking the wrong pass. Whilst Valencia has been poor this season, he has built up credit over a couple of full seasons for being solid, dependable, and last year, making a real difference. That is the difference.

3.) Yokoman, I'm with you, Valencia has never impressed me as he's too predictable. One footed. Same can be said for Young.
I've always had time for nani, but he's been injured a lot and has not performed consistently.
I would like to see us sell all three of them (if anyone will have them). Then buy one more winger and buy some midfielders. We will have zaha and the new winger, and in my opinion, that's plenty. We need to be relying less on wingers and more on midfield.
If saf decides to do that, then I hope we can buy one of the top wingers, ie, Ronaldo, bale or Rodriguez.
Nomidfield

4.) It just makes more sense IMO. There is clearly a disagreement between Nani and the club over contract terms so he needs to go for that reason. He only has 1 year left on his contract so we don't want to lose him for free in 12 months. Valencia has been poor this season but has at least performed consistently for us in the past and is modest and a very hard worker. It just makes to get rid of Nani now before he runs his contract down.

Majo, I for one do not rate Mata that much, for me he should be the one on the bench to change games and Harera in mid along with schneiderlin/or Schweini, while the wide areas covered by Demaria/young and Mamphis/Adnan. Mata is too casual for my liking and slow us alot. he should me talked to be serious minded or be shipped/used as backup.

@Sambo, Lewy has not signed for any club yet. I don't see Ronni signing a new deal esp that he is not getting the desired support from team mates. The situation that led to him not happy at Real has not changed much IMO. I think he will remain in Madrid to rundown his contract.

It is just a rumor not confirmed yet, even if it is confirmed we need not waste our time to think that he will wish to go back to Barca. I believe if we can build our team to be consistently at the top, Barca will be history as all good players will always want to identify with us not Barca or Real except on rare cases. I wish we can build a team that will standout for long and see which player will play for us and want to move elsewhere.

JRC08 It is easy to form an opinion especially about a rival club due to poor run of form but what you have failed to understand is that it's poverty of sense of judgement to conclude without gathering enough data to that will suffice you to judge. It's just 10 games and you have written our team off the title?
I just hope you wouldn't hurt your self with this optimism of yours. It's not over for us until it's over. That is the spirit.

I don't seem to understand the respect we are all talking about here with regards to the way he was sacked. LVG had all the signs before him to understand that his stay here wasn't working and that the club gave him the opportunity to resign on his own seeing the kind of hostility that was growing within and without the club was enough respect. The club also sacrificed our 4th place position when it was clear that with him in charge it will largely depend on luck yet allowed him, is that not too much respect? . Now he is fresh with an FA cup win, something that will add to his profile and a 5m pounds to go with and people say it was announced too soon? i consider it too late. It was long overdue. We gave him enough respect not to have sacked him after the West ham game and risk the FA cup which we won by luck.
