word in and around manchester is wayne rooney has signed a new deal and will be announced with the matter deal today.

stretfordender1980

1.) Good aul Juan Matter

2.) Really that's funny I live in Salford about 15 mins walk away from old Trafford and I can tell you now there is no rumour about rooney signing a new contract go around here. I hope your right but not sure you are

3.) Michael Owen has also said on Twitter for Utd fans to expect good news. Hope its true would be massive for the club

4.) When I say in and around manchester I don't mean you're average gossip in the local newsagents so you wouldn't know about it yet, just what i'm told of certian fella with good contacts.

5.) Ive spelled mata wrong aswell, early mornings and hungover :-)

6.) Is juan mata walking to Manchester for is medical seems to be taking abit of time?

{Ed002's Note - There is something that needs addressing first.}

7.) Juan Mata was waiting on Thursday night for Chelsea to formally sign off his £37 million transfer to Manchester United after growing increasingly frustrated with the club’s failure to sanction his departure for a medical at Old Trafford.

Despite agreeing a four-and-a-half year contract worth £150,000-a-week at United, Mata remained in London on Thursday due to Chelsea’s refusal to complete the transfer agreement with the Premier League champions.

Ground staff at United’s Aon Training Complex at Carrington had arrived early on Thursday morning to prepare a helipad in order for the Spain midfielder to fly north for a medical.

But with Chelsea delaying Mata’s departure until they had completed the signing of FC Basel’s Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah, United were unable to proceed with the medical examination in Manchester.

8.) Stretfordender1980, you're not that drunk fan that rang 999 to ask to speak to Sir Alex are you? being hung over and all? lol :)

9.) This one is gathering momentum and there's no reason why it can't be true either. United are throwing big money at Chelsea, we may have chose to throw it at Rooney aswell and meet his demands. Rooney signing a new deal right now would do more for the club in the long term than saving money on his contract. The club needs a huge boost after recent results and this along with Mata signing would more than fit the bill.

Not only was our team embarrassing last night our support was aswel. It's quiiet for most home games to be fair but champions league nights especially for important games is usually decent It's asif a lot of our fans just come and expect to be entertained and feel like they have no part to play in the game. We need to be the 12th man from the first minute to the last. Granted we had nothing good to shout about last night but that's no excuse to sit there in silence all game.

Nah mate. It works both ways. If the team can't be arsed then usually the crowd isn't either.

It's a bit difficult to get enthusiastic when the players are ambling about with no intent.

Mostly I just sensed disappointment and anger at the manager and his tactics along with the players and their lack of effort.

£500 million to boot it long to the big man? Really?

Riyad Mahrez given permission to leave international duty to finalise transfer to new club, probably in a minority but I think he'd be a brilliant buy. So talented. Old Trafford could be the perfect stage for him.

stretfordender1980

1.) 31 Aug 2017 08:21:19
Arsenal or Roma is it?

2.) 31 Aug 2017 09:23:29
I bet Mahrez doesn't even know where he will end up.

So we've beat the noisy neighbours, friendly or not it's always nice to see, Good job Bryan Robson was such a great player though, thinking Lukuka is Right footed and Paddy having too embarrassingly correct him was so painful for me 🙈😂 #Homework.

Well Angel Gomes turns 17 in August, I'm preying Jose unleashes him in the league cup this year, there's been lots of youngsters over hyped gone over the years but this kid is going to be one of the worlds best in future and I can't wait to witness it.

stretfordender1980

1.) 22 Jun 2017 13:31:37
Nothing quite like hyping up a player too much.

Hope he's eased in and we start to see the best of him in 3 years time.

2.) 22 Jun 2017 13:45:22
Don't we usually wait until one of our youngens scores a brace against Sunderland before we label him a future worlds best?

3.) 22 Jun 2017 14:15:39
If that's the case RedRosie then we might be waiting a while for another youngster to come through. Unless we draw Sunderland in one of the cups.

As with Angel Gomes, he isn't physically ready for the EPL, we need to send him out on loan to a less physically demanding league to gain experience at a higher level while he grows into his body. Portugal might be an option, but probably not until next year.

4.) 22 Jun 2017 15:36:27
I think he will stay at Utd for the upcoming season. He's only 17 and probably too young for a loan move yet. He's still an U18 player. I think a few league cup games, EPL games and hopefully if we qualify from the CL group stages with a game or two to spare, he might've get some extra experience of European football.
He's still young and we're expecting far too much from him. He does look like a gem of a player. I hope that he, harrop, Mitchell, TFM, Tuanzebe, McTominay all go to USA on pre season.

Enjoy your posts beast, you know the game well but think you are talking rubbish there. It’s as if you enjoy being pessimistic sometimes. The table dosent lie and whether we played adventurous free flowing football all year or not that dosent matter we were the 2nd best team over 38 games. If you want to make excuses for other teams short comings for why they didn’t finish ahead then you carry on though.

Bringing Ronaldo back no thank you, like the love of your life leaving you for another man while she’s young fit and sex mad and then knocking on your door years later asking to be taken back when he’s got bored with her. Alexis7 all day long for me.

Ozil gets a lot of bad press for me a lot of the time unjustly so and is one of the scapegoats in that Arsenal team when things aren't going well, his decision making and final pass is 2nd to none, lukaku and rashford would be licking there lips to play with him.

Personally hope he's not going there to play that role, valuable premier league experience will do him the world of good but ideally you want him occupying a position where he could play for us in the future.

Rose is better than Bertrand as Is Shaw when he's fit. Would be suicide if Spurs sold both full backs in the same summer without pushing on in the market themselves.

I certainly wouldn’t be against it I love him, he gets how a Manchester United team should play because he’s played in one. My big fear is whatever Ole does until now and the end of the season is that the new manager is already agreed. If it’s Poch I’m cool with that I love his style of play and think United fans will take to him like a duck to water. If it’s Zidane I have a horrible feeling things will turn sour again, he won 3 champions leagues in a row which was incredible but the players he had at his disposal were also incredible and the gap in the league to Barcelona wasn’t acceptable in my view.

He was utterley miserable, he made the players miserable and the fans miserable, his tactics where not that of a Man Utd manager they were that of a relegation team, he constantly put our players down knocking there confidence in public, anyone would think he had Burnley’s squad the way he went on, a black cloud has been lifted with him gone and I for one am delighted. He can take his low block and massive head to destinations new and fall out with another team.

4-3-3 I believe, I don’t imagine we will see tactical master classes but I think you can bank on the shackles being taken off the players and you will see a more adventurous attacking style. You score 3 we score 4 kinda thing. I fully expect Bailly back playing regular now and playing like he cares again which is a new signing in itself.
