Ed 02 what is your gut feeling on sancho? Do you think he will sign before the deadline or not? Cheers as always.

{Ed002's Note - I really don’t know. The amateurs are certainly looking at alternatives.}

Cheers for the reply Ed, seems like they have dithered far to long as per usual.

Forget Sancho, we’re literally taking a lifetime to sign Telles. Cheap, wants to come but no, the amateurs penny pinch.

3.) 01 Oct 2020
01 Oct 2020 22:59:20
If we can’t do a deal at £18m there’s no chance we do one at £110m. Total shambles and quite possibly our worst window yet (so far to this point) . Ed has been in the job 7 years and is he and those who work for him any better at this part of their jobs? 🤦‍♂️.

There is nothing wrong with taking care of your finances - but wasting time of others is truly stupid.

porto are begining to get pi ed off with the low offers. they say they will keep him this season and let him go for free next season.

Trumours,

By ‘penny pinch’ do you mean trying to negotiate about £5m?

Can I buy your house, I’ll give you £3.50? I know you probably won’t hundreds of thousands but what is that between mates?

We have complained for years at united overpaying for players and getting our pants pulled down in the market, this summer we are trying not to have that happen but people are desperate for us to pay anything. We can get Telles for free in 3 months and Porto need the money, we are right not to pay £20m etc imo.

7.) 02 Oct 2020
01 Oct 2020 23:54:26
Totally agree with the above comments. god knows how our negotiators are seen by other clubs, not favourably I’m sure. They only have themselves to blame I’m afraid.

8.) 02 Oct 2020
02 Oct 2020 06:11:16
None of us actually know what we are offering for telles, you all just going on what the media are saying.

Isn’t telles available to talk to teams in January about a move next season for free.

So if Porto are demanding €20m I think it’s reasonable that we are trying to negotiate a lower fee.

9.) 02 Oct 2020
02 Oct 2020 06:31:20
GDS2, what you say is true - we overpaid for the likes of Fellaini, Maguire and co. Given Shaw's injury record and Williams inexperience we definitely need to sign someone at LB and time is quickly running out.

When you get the chance to sign someone of Telles's experience and quality for around 20m, it's a steal in the current market. And what makes you think we will get him in 3 months time when there will be a queue of clubs ready to poach him for FREE.

We might be well within our rights not to pay up but we will once again be left short of options and regret the decision later on.

Right on cue, GDS to their defense.

This club is terrible at transfers and it is okay to say it. Only a couple of days until the window closes and we still haven't got our business done. Smacks of a poorly run club. They are clueless when it comes to buying and selling.

11.) 02 Oct 2020
02 Oct 2020 08:10:04
A few weeks ago I posted about the risks of not having transfers done and embedded before the first game. The usual suspects rushed to Ole and the clubs defence. Ok a last signing on or near deadline day is one thing but to leave two, three or even four given what we need is unacceptable. There is negotiation and there is unreasonable entrenched position. If you can’t negotiate go and look elsewhere, it is beyond negotiation, it looks penny pinching probably stung by the previous criticism. In some businesses there are spending targets, bonuses may depend on how they are kept to, and those targets may be tight. There is the need to continue to pay dividends so spending will have limits. There is time yet but if they don’t pull 3 or 4 rabbits from the hat in the coming days, the word incompetent will likely be levelled at those responsible.

Its pathetic angel.
Its why some are a laughing stock really and have lost or are losing any credability they ever had.

13.) 02 Oct 2020
02 Oct 2020 08:53:50
Red man, they have already shown their incompetence over a number of years. I don't think that is in question.

It's the same every single window, they don't get their business done, they will be criticised for that by posters/ fans on here and certain posters will defend them, consistently.

Ed002, from as far back as I can remember has persistently told us that these guys are amateurs when it comes to transfer dealings but it doesn't seem to be good enough. Lads, take your heads out from your backsides and smell the roses.

This club is a bit of a shambles all round, living off of a glorious history built on the backs of the Busby babes and fergie.

14.) 02 Oct 2020
02 Oct 2020 09:12:35
Anther top post angel. Some fans have let their tolerance and expectations fall further than the players.
Submissive blind following is quite pathetic imo.
Optimism and positivity is all well and good and its what most supporters have but showing complete ignorance and blindness to the issues on and off the pitch constitutes someone who is stubborn pig headed and a bit sad really. Living in denial and 'looking after your own' is not the best way to support the club imo.

15.) 02 Oct 2020
02 Oct 2020 09:39:27
Ken I do understand what you are saying but them being "stubborn" I don't think so. I believe it's more to do with the frustration and desperation that all of us have gone through these past several years that many of us are probably finding it difficult to come to terms with the current state of the club and trying to see positives rather than concentrate on the negatives (which everyone is aware of) .

Nothing is going to change unless the owners and the board are going to do something. I don't think anybody would be surprised anymore if Ole is sacked and a new manager comes in by christmas and we go through the same cycle once again.

16.) 02 Oct 2020
02 Oct 2020 09:56:03
Let's hope its well before Christmas mate.

17.) 02 Oct 2020
02 Oct 2020 09:57:35
The folks running the club have been the issue, no manager will ever meet expectations when they get short changed every time they make the champions league. Instead of pushing on the club have no aspirations to do so. Doesn’t matter who is in charge, but there common theme for every manager is that they didn’t get the players they wanted.

18.) 02 Oct 2020
02 Oct 2020 10:21:57
I thought this site was swimming in positivity, and anyone who thought differently couldn't speak out. I thought this was North Korea!

19.) 02 Oct 2020
02 Oct 2020 10:31:17
Ken,

Did you just call me pathetic twice? Somebody is getting well above their station, been on a podcast have we? Why don’t we all respect each other, it’s getting ridiculous now.

20.) 02 Oct 2020
02 Oct 2020 10:32:12
Nou,

😂😂.

21.) 02 Oct 2020
02 Oct 2020 10:53:48
It's what the IP address says anyway Nou 😂.

22.) 02 Oct 2020
02 Oct 2020 10:54:08
Ken it might be earlier but wouldn't be surprised if the novices (not amateurs anymore) in charge decide to delay the sacking until Christmas and Woodward himself dresses up as Santa to deliver a shiny new manager gift wrapped for the fans.

23.) 02 Oct 2020
02 Oct 2020 10:57:20
GDS, I think everyone's real frustration is with the club. It's a shame to see the direction they have gone since fergies departure, in every department. No sign of it getting any better.

When people do share their frustrations and opinions on here, they tend to be sniped at called ridiculous etc or even worse 'tits'.

So yeah it has become quite ridiculous recently and would be good if people could get back to respecting each other a bit more.

24.) 02 Oct 2020
02 Oct 2020 11:03:42
Make no mistake some of the fans on here want us to to get beat and fail.
Never admit to it, but they would rather that than be proved wrong .
It will get a bad response this but for some its true.

25.) 02 Oct 2020
02 Oct 2020 11:06:34
Completely agreed angelred. After all it's just about opinions on here. Everyone should be free to speak their mind and others can equally oppose those views but in a respectful manner.

26.) 02 Oct 2020
02 Oct 2020 11:30:36
Gds2 i didn't not refer to you at all. read the posts again. don't be silly i didn't mention you at all.
Secondly i don't have a station.
Thirdly i have not been caked out for bein n disrespectful. Have you?

27.) 02 Oct 2020
02 Oct 2020 11:39:16
jred that would only be a small section of fans. Most fans are probably worried before a match and hope the team does well and wins. It is so frustrating when the players don't perform or Ole gets it wrong or worst we lose and it hurts so badly.

28.) 02 Oct 2020
02 Oct 2020 12:03:20
Overpaying for the right player may not be a big problem.
That's why need to target quality players.

Who even remembers Bruno's price tag? He is smashing it.

29.) 02 Oct 2020
02 Oct 2020 12:40:31
Angel,

I didn’t call someone a tit for giving their opinion, I never would, I called him a tit for bringing me up on a post that I hadn’t even commented on and was nothing to do with me to call me out and get a reaction, he got one so sure he was happy with that.

30.) 02 Oct 2020
02 Oct 2020 12:43:16
I don't know any of our supporters that want to see us get beat.

31.) 02 Oct 2020
02 Oct 2020 11:33:02
You thought this was north Korea nou.
What made you think that?

This is nowhere near an occupied state.

32.) 02 Oct 2020
02 Oct 2020 11:47:38
Respectful manner is fine, LetsPlayUnited. I know our emotions get the better of us sometimes, but unfortunately some on here scour the site looking for an opportunity to pick fights with people they've never met, nor ever will, all for expressing an opinion different to theirs. And again, and again. Then encouraging Eds to weigh in, just to have a go at fellow Utd supporters. Sad, really.

33.) 02 Oct 2020
02 Oct 2020 13:14:13
Ken, I was referring to Red Man's post the other day. It was tongue in cheek. I really should remember to put laughing emojis on my posts.

34.) 02 Oct 2020
02 Oct 2020 13:49:27
You're still better than that GDS 😉

Anyway, hopefully it calms down a bit. It's a tough job right now for anyone let alone someone who I don't believe possesses the necessary skills to do the job. They are hanging Ole out to dry in my opinion.

35.) 02 Oct 2020
02 Oct 2020 13:57:24
Sorry noucamp. i didn't pick that up.
