hey ed can u please tell us if there's any truth to the bebe plus cash deal 4 gaitan?

wes369

{Ed002's Note - I really would not hold your breath about Gaitan joining.}

1.) Well that's good news. I neither want to hold my breath OR sign Gaitan.

2.) 01 Jul 2014 18:52:29
Has Paul Scholes had a bravery injection , would not say boo to a goose when he was playing. Now every player we sign or attempt to sign , he slags them off. Being one of our best ever players , you would think he would show some kind of respect, and get behind the team. never heard him speak so much in the last twenty years.

3.) Because he's shy and wasnt a big time charlie when playing means he can't give an opinion now he's retired, he's my hero so maybe he can down no wrong in my eyes but he just speaks his mind and is very blunt with it, i'm pretty sure if you listen to what alex ferguson and his former team mates have said about his character then this is nothing new it just so happens its now public because he writes a column. I suppose he could just be a gareth southgate and sit on the fence and blow smoke but who wants to read that? when scholesy speaks listen good and listen hard would be my advice!!

4.) 01 Jul 2014 22:25:59
good news Ed

5.) 01 Jul 2014 16:54:10
Ed002, do you think Depay is the way we will go in your opinion?

{Ed002's Note - PSV's Memphis Depay has attracted interest from a number of clubs with Manchester City, Real Madrid, Newcastle, Spurs, Marseille and Manchester United looking to see of a deal can be struck this summer. Marseille have signed Batshuayi and dropped their interest in Depay although Spurs are pushing PSV for discussions and Manchester City has made it very clear to his representatives that they are capable of fulfilling a negotiation free transfer at short notice.}

louis van gaal should watch man city and take tips on how to play that formation. they play exactly the same formation but whenever they attack yaya is always there in support just outside of the box or sometimes run in the box .our midfielders both stand far away from the box and that's why we can't create anything

wes369

1.) 24 Aug 2015 13:37:12
Fully agree. I was shouting for one of them to get at edge of the box against Newcastle as when attack was breaking down there was no one to immidiatly restart. but I don't know LVG always want otherwise than Fans and Pundits feel.
He did same in friendlies and we were hoping to change him to 4-3-3 but even against low profile teams he is playing 4-2-3-1.

I ll say
Gk,darmiyan,smalling,rojo,shaw,basti(holding), Herrera(center advance),schinerline(center advance),depay,Rooney,parreira

I ll drop mata as I feel since his purchase our managers are selecting teams and formations just to accommodate him anyhow, I m not saying he is bad, but not just suiting the style of play.
In current formation he is batter fitted to No10 than wide right. Game goes pedestrian when it goes that side

2.) 24 Aug 2015 15:41:08
Yaya did next to nothing yesterday I thought he had a bad game.

09 Aug 2015 09:57:26
i know its early days but i can see that if louis van gaal is stubborn again and play memphis in that role he is going to become like di maria. i jus don't get how u can play a skilfull winger as a number 10 when we have ander herrera who is excellent in that role we all know that

wes369

1.) 09 Aug 2015 11:01:34
Liverpool fan here

But then you need to drop Mata from the team.

2.) 09 Aug 2015 11:19:02
I think Mata should be the one to be dropped . I like him but he's just that bit too slow in everything he does

3.) 09 Aug 2015 11:34:35
Mata was a desperation buy and we overpaid. There was a good reason why Mourinho chose to sell him, despite him being Chelsea's player of the year. If he's going to be played out of position then that's even worse.

Personally I would prefer to have a great winger play that position - someone who could attack both inside and out, plus a midfield 3 permed from Herrera, Carrick, Schneiderlin, and Schweinsteiger.

It would not surprise me if Mata is not with us next season.

4.) 09 Aug 2015 11:54:41
Look, I've liked Mata when he was at Valencia. I like him now, but I too think he should be dropped, because of his slower game play. And once Pedro joins, he will. BUT Mata is a player who United need, because of his creatively and passing, especially at smaller stadiums. And finally, remember who intercepted the ball for United's only goal yesterday :)

5.) 09 Aug 2015 13:08:27
Agree love Matas attitude and he seems to love the club but so frustrating how slow he is and if we are going to play with a high pressing line he is too slow and small out there. Need speed and strength. Would rotate Mata at number 10 where we need to press for a goal Avis t team playing deep

6.) 09 Aug 2015 13:43:19
If he's not going to play herrera then depay needs to play out wide and mata in behind the striker. The problem I think we have is that we don't have a striker. Rooney gets what he wants all along and yet every game drops back into midfield to pick up the ball, does that sound like a striker? In my humble opinion if you're going to play with 1 up top then that's where he needs to be not dropping back trying to pick up the ball and slow play down I honestly don't think he deserves his spot in the team let alone be our captain. I honestly can't understand all the praise he gets from the pundits they need to take off their Rooney tinted glasses and cop on.

hi edds any truth to the renewed bale rumours 95 mil will be wasted if that is true. he is a fantastic player but from that amount of money we could buy a few fantastic players

wes369

{Ed007's Note - No.}

1.) 19 Jul 2015 22:38:17
I'd rather buy rues and lewandawaski and pedro for the same money!!

2.) 19 Jul 2015 22:59:47
No cb? Have to change your name to nodefence soon ;)

3.) 19 Jul 2015 23:36:28
"lewandawaski"

Is this the new motorbike for EPL players?.stabilisers on the front and back and a full suit crash helmet?

17 Jun 2015 11:13:43
having schweinsteiger and carrick will not be very smart

wes369

1.) 17 Jun 2015 12:51:51
Why not? Experienced players in important central midfield positions is exactly what we need.

If we cannot get schneiderlin and gundogan/naingollan are not gettable, schwrinsteiger to provide quality, depth and experience makes perfect sense.

2.) 17 Jun 2015 14:50:36
Plodfest.

3.) 17 Jun 2015 17:04:27
I know wot u mean beast but the roles they play wouldn't require them to be quick around the pitch mate.

What it would require them to do is to take up good deep lying positions in order to make us defensively more solid and release the ball FORWARD more quicker when they get it.

Busquests and Xavi were not the quickest but what they did do well was pass the ball to the more attacking players quickly.

I'd have no problem with a midfield 3 of Carrick, Schwie and Ander supplying the likes of Di Maria, Depay/Firmino(if he joined) and Rooney.

That would allow Ander to get forward more without worrying to much of what he's leaving behind him too.

If we could just sort out a top draw RB and CB too that would represent a very good window imo for the 1st 11.

4.) 17 Jun 2015 19:25:03
I have no problem with any midfield and god knows we need one given our defenders especially CB's, smalling is off the sh. t list but the rest stay on it.

17 Jun 2015 11:12:36
i don't think this is going to be a good transfer window i know all the players we have been linked with is not true but even if there are a few of those true they will be a waste of money. we need a striker yes but certainly not cavani or lewandowski.in attacking midfield we don't need someone unless mata goes and someone comes in that's better then him. we need atleast two central midfielders but having scwein

wes369

1.) 17 Jun 2015 12:16:44
We don't need Lewandowski?! I know we aren't going to get him (we may not even be interested) but that's not too far from saying we don't need Messi or Ronaldo! If we could get Lewandowski (I don't think we can) we absolutely should!

2.) 17 Jun 2015 12:53:27
@wes369

Disagree with all of that mate.

Perhaps a walk in the sunshine and a vacation is what you need to cheer yourself up? The most negative post I've read for quite a while!

3.) 17 Jun 2015 13:43:22
REDFAITH,

To be fair we often get new posters around this time coming on here saying the same thing, it is going to be a poor window, why haven't we signed all of our targets yet, I've read in the paper we are linked to xxxx but now Madrid are after him and we have missed our chance AGAIN! Woodward doesn't have a clue.

If we had signed 6 players by now some people would be creating an account on here saying 'why haven't we signed so and so', its frustrating because people want all the business done early but when it is they forget it has been done, if we signed Depay yesterday Wes wouldn't have written this post I can guarantee it, but because we haven't signed anyone for a couple of weeks its mad panic.

Certainly not Lewandowski? Crazy statement.

We as fans should not worry about fees of players as this don't affect us in anyway. if 100 mil for pogba is what's needed to win us silverware then so be it!

Because at the moment will keane is our backup striker as martial is being used on the left side. soo for me ighalo could do a better job and might play way better then wayne upfront.

I would take ighalo over will keane anytym (NOT SAYING WILL KEANE IS A BAD PLAYER THOUGH) but ighalo is scoring goals most of the time out of his own hard work and that is how it is going to be by us also if he comes at the moment lol. if i was louis i would go for him.
