Only saw the second half but liked what I saw. I think we will finish 2nd, Liverpool are head and shoulders ahead of everyone, City were the likely challengers but look light this year. I think us and City will finish 2nd and 3rd, really not convinced by anyone else.

If we can strengthen the back line then we can push on but our transfer dealings have been questionable lately. Let’s get some cash on the table and go and secure an top CB and a Top DM, and then in the summer look at attacking options.

We are making progress and if we buy wisely then who knows.

Have to disagree Tony.

Our recent ‘questionable signings’ are Bruno and Cavani who are the best two players in our squad.

There’s no doubting our back line needs strengthening. Victor at RB today tells a story.

Agree ajh. But are these the games we should be winning. Would a top manager get the 3 points out of these games. For me yes.

3.) 26 Dec 2020
26 Dec 2020 19:53:13
Fair point Leahy, but we’re still the form team right now. You can’t win them all and the games are coming thick and fast, Chelsea losing to Arsenal shows how weird this season is. It’s not perfect yet but it’s moving in the right direction, despite the ups and downs.

4.) 26 Dec 2020

Even top managers drop points.

5.) 26 Dec 2020
26 Dec 2020 21:15:33
The manager has signed 3 defenders for a combined fee of over £150 million. It's not the personal that are the issue, it's that he's not a very good coach and can't organise a defence.

6.) 26 Dec 2020
26 Dec 2020 21:19:30
OLE Seems like that he picks players based on emotional or sympathy. He needs to pick players that are the best available in their position.

7.) 26 Dec 2020
26 Dec 2020 21:29:03
There is no pleasing some people, we played 2nd today and drew, we should have won that game aswell. But it turns into a ole out party yet again. Makes me wonder if we have real fans or people that just want fancy named players and managers sometimes. I'm going to take a break from here because it's all doom and gloom and ole out constantly, win lose or draw.

8.) 26 Dec 2020
26 Dec 2020 21:47:42
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I was never ole in from day 1.im ole out and I'll post it every day if I feel like and I will also listen to peoples opinion if their ole in and I won't sulk like a child and say I'm taking a break from here.

9.) 26 Dec 2020
26 Dec 2020 21:53:58
I have to agree Danny, fans of other teams view united fans as entitled and it does seem like some are never going to be happy. Ole may not be the best manager in the world but with some comments here you would think he was some clueless guy just winging it.
It's tiresome.

10.) 26 Dec 2020
26 Dec 2020 22:32:59
Remi go back a few games. An important game. Free is on a yellow. Jumping 8n to tackles. Everyone that knew anything about football said get him off at half time he looks like a red card all day long. that's just one instance.
Clueless. Winging it. Take your pick.
Ole will never take united to the next level. Are we one of the biggest clubs in world football. Yes. Are we one of the richest yes.
Should we win every game. No
Should we be in a better position than we have been for the last 8 years or so yes.
Is the club run by amateurs yes. From the very top to the manager.
I don't think we should be winning the league every year but we should be there or there abouts. We should be challenging. Other clubs should fear going to play in old Trafford. Not going there saying we have a big chance of winning here.

11.) 26 Dec 2020
26 Dec 2020 22:41:04
Leahy you can post all you like, but it's the same old bs. 90% have wanted ole out after the 1st full season and even if he won the league it wouldn't be enough because he's not a fancy name. Look at how the league table from January last year to now would be and we would be top, but yet ole is regarded a the same manager that got relegated with Cardiff.3 semi finals and 3rd last season, put some respect in ole's name.

12.) 26 Dec 2020
26 Dec 2020 22:50:15
Danny, you know you can stop posting without making a song and dance about it?

Remi, we've played Spurs, Arsenal, Chelsea, City and Leicester, they would be The teams so far that would be challenging us for top 4. The manager has set up not to lose in those games. We have not won any of them, losing heavily to Spurs and to Arsenal who are having a difficult season. All of those games were winnable.

If it was up to me Ole would never have been made permanent. I would gladly see him go. But right now, he's doing ok in terms of results. We're in the mix and that's good enough for me right now.

But that doesn't mean he's without cristism. We are being held back by his inability to organise a defence. It means he has to set up with 2 DMs. When our bench has more creative quality than what's on the pitch, that's doesn't sit right with me.

Where you look and see Ole doing well, I see a missed opportunity of what a decent manager could be getting out of this squad?

13.) 26 Dec 2020
26 Dec 2020 22:56:02
Truth is Leahy, Fred never committed a foul in the whole second half of that game. He has previously been booked 8 times in the first half of a game and not been sent off, so maybe that came into Ole's thinking. He has studied how to get at players from coming off the bench and where he can have an impact since he was mostly the guy coming off the bench but many say his in game tactics are poor, I think he makes many good in game decisions. But I really believe that many here don't want to see the good that Ole does but are all over his flaws, even when the team are doing well.
Entitled.

14.) 26 Dec 2020
26 Dec 2020 22:56:12
He has my respect as a player and always will.

15.) 27 Dec 2020
26 Dec 2020 23:26:10
Remi if you watched the game you would have seen he lost his head in the first 15 mins. Everyone knew he should have been taken off. Its there to be seen in front of his eyes. Don't mind that statistics about yellow card. First half second half waffle. Look at it in real time.

16.) 27 Dec 2020
27 Dec 2020 01:01:25
I'm with mumbles on this to be honest.
I think its a good post.
At the moment and I'm not talking since January i'm talking last 7 or 8 league games we have won 5 drawn 2 so you can't critisise those results.
The 1st 6 league games and cl campaign were awful.
There has been a note attacking intent in the last 3 or 4 games which is welcome but its sparodic.
The defence is not a unit and they are poorly organised all of them look shakey.
Its been better of late a tough semi v city and A EL campaign to look forward to. Fa cup about to start its going to be A war of attrition until the end of the season.

17.) 27 Dec 2020
27 Dec 2020 01:39:08
tell me what he as won with his jose lvg football in two years.

18.) 27 Dec 2020
26 Dec 2020 22:28:38
We should of took our chances today, we never and sometimes that happens .

19.) 27 Dec 2020
27 Dec 2020 07:20:32
I don't get a lot of the criticism of him. Look, I'm with Ole, I think he's doing alright and I think managing our great club will be too much for most managers. Most or at least many on this site don't want Ole here. Trying to get both sides to agree on this is harder than a brexit deal so I won't bother. Let's hope we can win something in 2021.

20.) 27 Dec 2020
27 Dec 2020 08:12:47
Dazw, he has won the top 4 trophy, the PL title that started in January, unbeaten since January till the start of this season trophy. These are a few i can think of right now but could be more.

21.) 27 Dec 2020
27 Dec 2020 08:52:22
As above, I think we had a caution first, don’t lose approach and team selection saw multiple changes and inexplicably Lindelof at right back. There is something in Martial that Ole sees that no one else does and that can be the only explanation for keeping him on so long. I didn’t see a team aiming for the title yesterday, I saw a team set up afraid of a loss. The question is whether just getting in the top four is good enough? We can say it’s building yet if we put the 2008 team out on the pitch and played not to lose football, they would not have won what they did.

22.) 27 Dec 2020
27 Dec 2020 10:09:10
Over the past 12month only liverpool have more points than united 8, although they have played 2 more games.
People wanted ole out before a ball was kicked so all they do is look for something to prove there point .
Its easier they accepting they where wrong.

23.) 27 Dec 2020
27 Dec 2020 10:11:02
We should of scored after 1 minute infact yesterday rash should of had a hattrick.
We didn't take our chances, very good chances. The intent was there.

24.) 27 Dec 2020
27 Dec 2020 10:24:51
I didn’t see that intent Jred, I saw a lot of caution in our play.

It is never about trying to prove a point, it is, however, about analysing the game. Even Scholes, Ole’s mate, who never criticises him said Lindelof was a poor decision. Do you think Lindelof at RB was a good decision? Or can you not bring yourself to accept Ole was wrong?

25.) 27 Dec 2020
27 Dec 2020 10:37:24
Red Man, you're such a hypocrite. Under Jose you were lapping up the safety first, park the bus football because it was your man crush Jose playing it, even against relegation fodder.

Now Ole (who I can only assume slept with your wife or refused to sign your shirt one time) plays it against top sides and suddenly we are Manchester United and we should be playing gung-ho football against every side.

It's actually laughable🤣.

26.) 27 Dec 2020
27 Dec 2020 11:01:04
Actually what is laughable is that you, Shappy, are the actual hypocrite, ultra critical of Jose playing cautionary football but now Ole plays park the bus it is all ok, that is the real hypocrisy

I liked Ole the player, but as a manager he remains substandard.

27.) 27 Dec 2020
27 Dec 2020 11:09:19
Redman
Awb and Williams are both out, tuenz isn't a rb and is returning from a muscle injury has questionable injury record and played against Everton.
We didn't have that many options to be honest so lindelof may of been the best option .

Your really scrapping the barrel looking for a negative at the moment .

28.) 27 Dec 2020
27 Dec 2020 14:38:14
Red Man, we parked the bus yesterday? I don't know what game u watches. U didn't see the pressure on their backline and the struggle they had to take the ball out? U didn't see the chances we made? You will always talk about Oles decisions, but you won't criticize Rashford for example? Or even Bruno for losing the ball in dangerous area? Sure, I don't like Lindelof choice for the RB, but what's even worse is Rashfords performance. How many balls he lost and how many times he had a touch too much? I would rather blame Ole for not subbing Rashford after 20min of play.

29.) 27 Dec 2020
27 Dec 2020 15:48:26
Red Man, I'm not a fan of park the bus football. Whether that is Jose or Ole playing it.

The difference is that Jose played it every game even against those in the relegation places. Whereas Ole tends to only play it against the top sides or when we have injuries to key players.

I'm never happy with it, but appreciate it's a need to an end sometimes. Even Sir Alex played defensive at times. For some managers though it is their first choice go to tactic. For me if your preferred style is defensive then you aren't the right manager for Manchester United.

So if you're not a hypocrite then I expect you to condemn Jose for playing park the bus football as you are with Ole now.

I won't hold my breath🤣.

30.) 27 Dec 2020
27 Dec 2020 21:20:09
Shappy

I would not support park the bus football, but Mourinho won trophies. The difference is that you condemned everything about Mourinho on the basis of park the bus football, yet won’t accept that Ole is a go to first don’t lose manager. You like throwing words like hypocrite, as they say, people in glass houses Shappy.

31.) 27 Dec 2020
27 Dec 2020 21:47:45
So you agree that Mourinho wasn't the right manager for United because of his style of play.

Glad we agree on that.
