Without blaming individuals, whatever our plan for defense is, it's clear its not working. We have conceded so many early goals that we are chasing games far too much. Also I have continuesly read that Greenwood is one of the best finishers yet we don't make use of his skills. We are way off champion level.

Good luck to the Glazers in the superbowl although I'm sure that sentiment will go down like a lead balloon here. But I do hope Tampa win just to cement Tom Brady as one the greatest athletes to have ever lived.

Did you see how excited Joel Glazer was after the NFC Championship game? Like a kid in a candy shop. Let's be honest we only really care about the Glazers when we are losing, we need someone to blame, and they are our bogeymen.
Fair play to them this season with Tampa, went and got the GOAT and he has taken them to the next level, beating Mahomes though is a different prospect. If Brady pulls this off I think it will be his finest performance, even better than the 4th qtr comeback against Atlanta.

Mahomes is incredible Grim, and I think Andy Reid is a master of a coach so it'll take a lot to beat Kansas.

I want the Chiefs to win, but I think the Buccs may do it, thus cementing Brady as the best ever which he is.

The Glazers were ecstatic when they won the championship, good for them, no one thought they had a chance but they brought in a great coach, and some good veterans, apart from Brady like Fournette and have done well in the draft.

The coach is also a great tactician. He deserves to win as did Andy Reid last year.

As a Man United fan living in Tampa, I’m really hoping one Glazer team can manage a win this weekend.

Looking at Cavani play over the last while, I believe there are years left in the guy at the top level. Managed correctly and without injury he could easily play until 36. He's so clever in managing his stamina on the pitch and sometimes looks to have more energy than those younger than him. An incredible professional.

1.) 03 Feb 2021 13:09:01
We should have got him at the beginning of the window.
Our decision makers' poor planning resulted him being unavailable for the first 4-5 weeks.

His work off the ball is exactly what Martial must learn. The man never stops running, always harasses the opponent defense. Fantastic professional.

2.) 03 Feb 2021 13:11:01
It does make me laugh when people say how old he is, he’s younger than Vardy I believe who has a ridiculous work rate. I think the worry about him wasn’t his work rate or ability over the last couple of years but his injury record, when he plays he is good he just hasn’t been able to contribute enough. Ole has managed him very well so far and has to be given some credit for that (apologies) and I agree he could have another couple of seasons at this level. He better stay until we get fans back anyway, he’s one I can’t wait to watch live, his movement is incredible.

3.) 03 Feb 2021 13:33:54
he wasnt a target. that's why we didn't get him at the start of the window

was a panic buy, spent all summer chasing sancho but he is class.

4.) 03 Feb 2021 13:53:46
Sancho is a winger and Cavani is a Striker. I think we bought him as cover and as an upgrade to Ighalo. But so far he has been a revelation.

5.) 03 Feb 2021 14:40:56
Wish we'd gotten him years ago when we were repeatedly linked to him. But his impact, and even that of the much more limited Ighalo when he played, shows our need for that sort of player. A number 9, a physical presence, someone with intelligent movement. Realistically we won't have Ed for many more years due to his age, so I hope management can see the need for a player of that profile and can identify and sign one. Haaland seems the closest fit, maybe even an upgrade, but I don't think we will get him mush as I'd love it.

6.) 03 Feb 2021 15:22:17
I remember when we were linked with Zlatan, I said at the time I would have preferred Cavani.

Both class players, and since he joined I really took a shine to Zlatan. He says things with an arrogance but with a smile and a glint in his eye that he doesn't totally believe it and he's just playing a game to keep himself entertained.

However, Imagine if we got a Cavani 5 years ago.

Klopp out!

Just reading Steve Bruce talk about Lascelles and Saint Maxim having long C.V. Its hard to understand why footballers and all sportspeople are risking their well being at this time. Sport is not essential and I'm surprised many have not refused to play, they are taking a huge gamble with their and others health. Anyway I wish them well and hope they can get back to full fitness.

I remember ed002 mentioning the players initially had to sign something to take full responsibility if anything happened.

This potentially could be two footballers careers ended at this level if it has affected their lungs.

Agree on James, I believe he takes his chance when played more than others. Although I believe Donny will come good for us I don't think he has taken his chance as he should, but many think he is not getting a fair break but James does well when called on but not many think he is not getting a fair break.

Lukaku left because he wanted to, he pretty much downed tools because he hated the social media and pundits criticism of him. He took particular exception to being called lazy.

Delighted with the win but I too feel bad for the kid on his premier league debut. He was just too wound up.

Let's say your right Salford, but people still need to get a grip. This season is completely surreal with some mad results. Footballers are not robots, they are young men dealing with a C.V. like the rest of us. We were rubbish last night, now move on. It's just football.
