Wesley sniejder has stated that it would be hard to turn down united if lvg was to offer him a deal. Let the sniejder rumours begin

BEST-IN-THE-WORRRLD

1.) Here we go again!

2.) Yes seen this on sky sports. However don't think he's a player we need right now, plays too high up the pitch IMO. I think Blind would be a great signing, if not for left back, for center mid. Was dutch player of the year last season.

3.) I know this rumours been around revert transfer window but what would people's thoughts be if we did actually sign sneijder? And where would play? I'm guessing on the left of an attacking three, which I think would work if we had someone with pace on the right ie robben. Wouldn't be my first choice or my last.

4.) When you have Mata, Kagawa and Rooney in the squad you don't need Sneijder as well. He won't be a target. Blind however I hope is a target and I hope that we get him as he would be a fantastic signing for his versatility and general quality.

5.) 18 Jun 2014 17:47:53
Elroy, have something like Sneijder, van Persie and Robben as a front three? What about Mata, Rooney, Kagawa?

6.) Not long before we see Ronaldo rumour then ;)

7.) 18 Jun 2014 19:06:04
Am I the only one who would see him as a deeper lying midfielder? I mean he's at that stage in his career to convert there and reinvent himself like scholes did using his amazing passing ability to help him

8.) So you want to pay money and huge wages on a player to try to reinvent himself in a new position in the hardest and fastest league out there. wow

9.) Never heard of him, is he any good?

10 Jun 2014 11:29:33
A.madrid defender Miranda has Stated on Brazilian radio that he has offers from Spain and England

BEST-IN-THE-WORRRLD

1.) Is it just me, or is anyone concerned over the lack of transfer activity with our club. I know the World Cup is upon us and players have better things to think about right now. But another transfer market like last year, will be soul destroying, not to say it will be even harder to compete with the top four clubs. hope I'm wrong and things are happening in the shadows of the boardroom, and woody is earning his keep.

2.) Ha ha some are and some aren't rock the red. You can either jump on any rumour and be constantly disappointed or just wait patiently (with the risk of still being disappointed). Neither way is right or wrong it is just the madness of closed season (typically longer than the madness that the January window brings). My guess is the fever pitch is going to get worse over the next few weeks as we fantasize about some players at the world cup who we have only seen play a handful of times ;)

Am I one of the only few united fans that would take sniejder?

A midfield 3 off Herrera Vidal sniejder?

Still a class players and better than what we already have

BEST-IN-THE-WORRRLD

{Ed004's Note - Sneijder is better than Mata? Sneijder has been awful this World Cup and one goal does not change that}

1.) Yes you are on your own there he is old and in decline

2.) For the love of God you have to be joking? That sailed a couple of years ago when he was half decent. Nowadays he looks way past his best. I'm with Ed

3.) Ed since when does mata come under a midfield position? His more of a number 10 or even a winger?. And I'm not basing this on 1 goal either it ment I would take him over fellani cleverly carrick fletcher

{Ed004's Note - So were was sneijder playing today? When has he ever played without two other players covering for him defensively?}

4.) Herrera and Vidal have plenty off energy and are good defensively, if you see the game today ed, sniejder can also track back when asked. Even if we don't sign Vidal and sign carvaliho or even de jong

Are you saying
Herrera Carvaliho/jong sniejder
Mata
Rooney rvp

ain't an improvement on what we got?

5.) Maybe 4 years ago he'd have been a good signing. He has looked god awful for the past two years though and one goal does not change that. I'd rather we signed De Jong than Sneijder.

6.) 1- sneijder has been a good player but is not in decline!
2- sneijder is a number 10 just like Mata
3- Mata is not a winger

Seriously mate give your head a wobble will ya

7.) Is now in decline***** bloody predictive text

Evening lads

Just want you opinions from fellow united supporters,

Why are so many people bashing rooney and only talking negative about him?

His stats alone talk for how quality off a player he is, all I see and hear is people saying sell him and play mata play kagawa, rooney I think is the heart beat off united he has more passion than anyone in that team why sell one off our better players instead off helping build a team with him mata and rvp in?

Even at the World Cup it was all about how poor his been when his joint top scorers and assists in the England team?
Gerrard had a shocker and not only did he mess up Liverpool title challenge he also messed up us qualifying through the group yet the press don't criticise him?

Rooney I think is unfairly criticised Even thigh his coming close to becoming England and united top goal scorer? Yeah real bad player

BEST-IN-THE-WORRRLD

1.) The media have a sick obsession with Rooney unfortunately. I may not like him, but I can recognize his qualities. Incredible that Gerrard isn't being slaughtered right now. Or is it Rooney's fault for not getting two?

2.) I think the british press write more sh. it than any other media in the planet and it is unfortunately so prevalent in the culture of the country that it does impact people and things.

3.) The criticism he gets is also testament to how important he is to England. He is clearly our most important player and our best one. No doubt a scouser will come on here and say no its Sturridge or Gerrard lol.

4.) 20 Jun 2014 18:42:01
No matter your opinion on him, he is a Utd legend and we will still be talking about him in 20 years

5.) Well said, Ste.

6.) No doubt Stevie, Captain Catastrophe, Gerrard will come out smelling of roses and Wayne will get the blame for not scoring more goals. Who cares. Show him your medals Wayne.

7.) Ste

No we won't. Legend is a word bandied about far too readily nowadays. Rooney has had his moments and he may indeed by a very good player but he is no legend.

8.) Ajh
If he puts another couple of years in he will of been at the club 12 year and probably united record scorer.
In the years that follow he will be regarded a united legend

9.) He is already a legend, well as long as he doesn't move to Chelsea. He will be quickly forgotten if he did that.

10.) I was hoping #PoorStevieG would've been trending now but I'm sure the press will find a way of blaming Rooney for Gerrard'd deft little flick on to Suarez for the winner. Nice assist lol.

Just looking back and watching the game between us and city for the community shield, winning 3-2 with a brace from nani

And Jesus lads what the hell has happened to tom cleverly?
Back then he was taking people on beating men going forward with the ball.
I hope this lad kicks himself and realises what a talent he can be and I hope with the time lvg is manager that he can be the one to put cleverly confidence back Into him

BEST-IN-THE-WORRRLD

1.) Tom has gone backwards, no doubt, but how much of that was Moyes fault? Let's face it, how many mids did we have that actually attacked or even passed the ball forwards?
In the pre season in USA he scored a very good goal and was a big hope for us. Before we chuck him out I'd like to see if LvG can get him playing.

2.) That game was definitely Cleverley's and Nani's game. Cleverley played very well against Barcelona before that too. It's kind of mind boggling for me as I have watched him play well since 15. He has never been the same since that bad ankle injury which kept him out for the season. Since that he's afraid to get stuck in. Hopefully it could be similar to what happened with Ramsey and he may snap out of it, perhaps that's why Wenger wants him now while he's suffering because he believes he can get him out of his rut like Ramsey finally got out of his? Don't get me wrong Cleverley is no Toni Kroos, but he can be a very useful squad player if he can regain his confidence.

3.) He has the potential to be very good in a midfield 3, but sadly Nani is just plain rubbish with no stones

4.) As Sydney says he can be a very useful squad player and if you bring him on he could be a very quick impact sub

5.) 20 Jun 2014 11:13:48
Seriously Sydney,

Arsene in for Cleverley, is this what you read;

As Jos Mourinho continues to scour Europe, making bids and agreeing deals for the continent's best players to address glaring deficiancies in his side, Arsenal and Manchester United have positioned themselves outside their local Primark, hoping to pick up 2010 fashions at knock-down prices.

After Manchester United opened talks with Thomas Vermaelen about a £10m move to Old Trafford, Arsne Wenger wants to return the favour and take some dead wood off Louis van Gaal's hands by moving for Tom Cleverley and Chris Smalling. Quite why Wenger would desire a small, tricky playmaker such as Cleverley having passed up the opportunity to sign Cesc Fbregas because he is so well stocked in that area is anyone's guess, but Wenger knows. A bid for Smalling to cover for the losses of Sagna and Vermaelen makes more sense, apart from the fact the former Fulham man is rubbish both at right-back and in the centre of defence.

I know you're prone to the odd crazy prediction but even that's bad for you Syd.

He'd get lynched if he thought they were the way forward. It was bad enough when we had Andre Santos. Maybe you should pick up Bendtner on a free. That would pretty much be on a par.

6.) Jenny, I am not saying TC is a major target for Arsenal this summer, I doubt that very much to be fair, but if he was available as a makeweight for a player Arsenal no longer need, it wouldn't surprise me if AW would consider it. He fits better in an Arsenal team than he would in ours. He's 24 and English. At the very worst Arsenal would make a small profit on him. At best he could go back to the player he used to be and be a good squad player. let's not forget the treatment Ramsey got the season before last. All of you lot wanting him sold. Then look how well he did last season.

7.) Jenny

I salute you, top post

8.) Jenny, let's not forget you have someone in your squad that is far far far worse than Cleverley. How Yaya Sanogo got a chance in the Arsenal team amazes me. This guy makes Bebe look like Ronaldo.

Evening lads

General question, who in today's football
Premier league based only. Who do you think united possibly missed out on and would off liked us to sign? 3 players only.

Yaya toure
Suarez
Kompany

BEST-IN-THE-WORRRLD

1.) Yaya
silva
hazard

2.) 18 Jun 2014 21:08:39
Willian
Kompany
Ageuro

3.) Kompany to be fair was just an average midfielder who developed into a top CB.

If I could have three players it would be Aguero, Suarez & Fabregas.

4.) Just thinking about the past couple of years we have missed out on Matic, Hazard, Fabregas. next year we will see how good our midfield Could have been!

5.) If someone asked this question two years ago, most of us would have said Mata of Chelsea & Van Persie of Arsenal. Now they play for us :)

6.) Yaya Toure
Cesc Fabregas
Eden Hazard

7.) Kompany
Ramsey
Lukaku

8.) Kompany was not a average midfielder to be fair he was moved there by Hughes he was a versatile player with loads of potential much like Jones and his best position was always centre back I knew before he came to city that he would be a class act and that's why city signed him

9.) Cant say kompany or toure to be honest, toure was used as defensive midlfielder for barca, if he signed for man utd we don't know if he would have progresses'd into the midfielder he is today so kudos to the staff at city who transformed him. sydney makes a good point on kompany as well. i'd say missing out on hazard was a huge blow, suarez second, and silva the next, narrow escape = john obi mikel . phew

Would anyone take pirlo?

BEST-IN-THE-WORRRLD

1.) No, too old and too long in the Italian league. Please tell me we aren't going to get endless posts suggesting someone who had a good game. Poborsky anyone?

2.) Too old now but still produced a masterclass last night was a delight to watch even though we got beat

3.) How can you say he produced 'a masterclass'! He was quiet all game until his free-kick and everyone suddenly jumps on the bandwagon of wow he had a great game. Some of forward passing were absolute clangers! Namely two lumped balls forward hoping for the best

Still think he's a classy player but nearing the twilight of his career and would do best to stay where he is IMHO
