Question for Ed002 please.
There is mention in some outlets that Zirkzee would prefer to remain at Bologna. However, it seems that Utd are trying to negotiate a deal. Do you think Utd could get the deal done. or are we wasting time like we did with de Jong? Your thoughts would be welcomed. Thanks for all your insights. I can guarantee you that they are truly welcomed ?.
{Ed002's Note - Joshua Zirkzee (S/AM) Manchester United had a third-party scout watch him in a game against Roma in December and they decided on Zirkzee as their preferred option but the player was not interested in such a move at that time - but they will turn back to him. Milan has declared an interest knowing Giroud has moved on but don't know if Zirkzee will match his goal tally - but they offer the preferred solution for the player and they now have a tentative agreement but the demands of Kia Joorabchian anre very significant and that is cauing a delay. They are looking to add two strikers and the second striker they want is not available, causing a rethink. Bayern Munich have an option to buy the player back but will likely not be interested in following up on it. Napoli offer a wildcard option. Juventus may offer a solution depending on departures. Arsenal have preferred choices but could turn to Zirkzee and Kia is keen on a move to London but the player is keen on and close to MIlan which will rule out Arsenal. Player will not move to become cover or second choice likely ruling out Juventus. Kia spoke with Chelsea but the player is very similar to Nkunku and they will not entertain paying Joorachian €15M commission.}

Question for Ed 002 please. What are you views and opinion on Gareth Southgate as a coach? Do you think he could be a good fit at Man Utd? Thank you very much in advance.
{Ed002's Note - He is good with the players and apparently is good at getting his point across. If he could bring Steve Holland with him, I can see it working at Manchester United. Known to Jim Ratcliffe and certainly a consideration.}

god I hope not, his football is awful, we've seen he picks based on sentimentality how Maguire Phillips and others have stayed in the England team with injury, lack of playing time, poor form is absolutely crazy to me.
Personally don't think the job he has done with the national team should have him anywhere near the level of jobs he seems to be getting linked with.
If you ask me he's been poor as England manager good runs in tournaments but with the best draws we've had in a long time, whenever he's come against a team doing well he's lost.

Be taking 10 steps back with Southgate
Give ten hag time
If this was united last a few seasons ago under ineos they would be looking at ten hag for manager
Give the guy time.

Can he inspire though? I don't see it.
{Ed002's Note - It is not reallyabout inspiration.}

Dbrooks90, who would’ve you had instead of Maguire for England? Have you actually watched him play for England? He’s not been that bad.
5.) 22 Mar 2024 22:39:15
2toms international football is totally different to club football.
6.) 23 Mar 2024 09:35:43
2toms my point is he hadn't been playing well or playing at all for united so choosing him for England was a farce, it was the perfect time to look at other players who he hasn't picked and see if they could be of use, he did the same with Kalvin Phillips.

Ed002 - is there any information on why Mitchell Van Der Gaag's contract was terminated? Was it a case of ETH wanting to freshen up his coaching team? Or was the decision made by Ashworth? Some seem to suggest that he was unpopular with some players. Interested to hear what your thoughts are on the situation. Once again, thanking you in advance.
{Ed002's Note - The reason is known but of no relevance. It is nothing to do with the players.}

Thanks Ed. Appreciated.

Questions for Ed002 if he has time. Apologies if already answered but have tried searching.
Would be really interested to hear your thoughts on the Man Utd links with Ruud Van Nistelrooy i. e. being considered for a coaching role. Do you think INEOS see him as a potential ETH replacement? Neil Custis in the Sun seems to be implying this.
More importantly, what are your opinions on him as a coach/ manager?
Thanking you in advance.
{Ed002's Note - He has only one year senior coaching experience and has not been recruited to be the future Head Coach.}

Much appreciated sir.

If you're reading Neil Custis in a rag not even fit to wrap chips in then frankly you deserve to be lied to?♂️.

Apologies if this has already been done, but could I request one of the Eds for an article on Graham Potter as a manager/ coach. Thanks in advance.
{Ed001's Note - there is this from when he was in charge of Swansea: Graham Potter profile. Bit old now I know, but still might be useful until I get a chance to produce an update.}

Thanks Ed. Really appreciated.

Hope I don’t draw the ire of Ed002…. but could I respectfully ask if there is a majority in favour of one particular choice…. and if so, who is that choice? Thanks in advance.
{Ed002's Note - As I have explained, the first pick would be Tuchel but he may not be keen.}
13 Aug 2024 23:14:14
He was signed by Nike at the age of 10 since 10? Wow……imagine if they signed him at the age of 9 when he was 10. ??.

Thanks Ed. Appreciated.
