Ed002 are Thomas frank and nagelsmann options we are looking at?

manunited4000

{Ed002's Note - Julian Nagelsmann (C) Contracted to the German National side until after the 2026 World Cup.
Thomas Frank (C) Bayer Leverkusen were considering Frank as an option to replace Alonso, but he is now staying until probably 2026. Some support for Frank at Manchester United but it would be a significant step up.}

Ed002 is southgate the main and likely option we look to if ten hag is sacked?

manunited4000

{Ed002's Note - He is one of the options.}

1.) 30 Sep 2024 16:25:41
Ed002 is graham potter still an option.

{Ed002's Note - I understand that he has been discounted for now following discussions.}

2.) 30 Sep 2024 19:10:20
Ed002 could Mckenna be an ootion and attainable? With his style and united history would be a smart move or thomas frank and Allegri is available, maybe a option we could look at? Thank you.

{Ed002's Note - Another consideration but availability will be an issue. Frank will not be an option, Massimiliano Allegri strikes me as very unlikely.}

3.) 30 Sep 2024 22:19:26
I quite like the idea of Nagelsmann and wonder if he is under any consideration?

4.) 01 Oct 2024 00:59:04
Is it safe to say Tuchel is our number one choice followed by Southgate. Can you please providee us a list of order of preference. Thank you ed.

{Ed002's Note - Not at this time - Manchester United has a coach.}

5.) 01 Oct 2024 10:45:46
Ed002 could van nistelrooy taking over be an option we look at?

{Ed002's Note - Ruud van Nistelrooy - the soft option - perhaps give him the job until the end of the season.}

6.) 01 Oct 2024 11:28:29
Ed002 - if EtH was to depart, would Nagelsmann be an option?

{Ed002's Note - No.}

7.) 01 Oct 2024 11:55:53
ED002,

Appointing RVN as an interim manager might be a fairly decent idea. Appointing a new manager when the season has already started isn't ideal and some manager are known to not be keen on doing this.

Is the option if Fernandes leaving still on the table?

Or has that ended when he signed a new contract?

Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Bruno Fernandes (AM) ME still beckons after an offer from Al Hilal was rejected by the player. Al-Nassr are willing to pay a premium fee to Manchester Unted and provide the player with significant compensation. A wildcard may be Bayern Munich who his agent approached - but they would not be interested if any significant fee was demanded.}

8.) 01 Oct 2024 12:18:50
Thanks ED002,

In surprised the club didn't sell him in the summer. It's time he moved on.

9.) 01 Oct 2024 12:49:10
Ed if you don’t mind- who would you appoint if you were involved with the club?

{Ed002's Note - Thomas Tuchel.}

10.) 01 Oct 2024 13:14:43
Thanks for all your answers Ed002: can imagine you’re getting lots of questions about ETH issue now!

So really sorry to be one of those posters but, given that RVN has been part of the failing results (and presumably coaching etc) so far this season, if he does get the job, do you think he’ll make any difference, or just more of the same? (Does he have a decent reputation in your higher-level football circles? )

Again, any response will be very gratefully appreciated! (And thank you for your precious time! )

{Ed002's Note - Realistically it would be a placeholder appointment until a new coach arrives.}

11.) 01 Oct 2024 13:55:40
Wallace all the Eth in people are pleading for time, whilst Erik has had 2 and this is his 3rd year our entire coaching set up has only been here this season they may deserve time he has had it.

12.) 01 Oct 2024 14:34:52
Sorry DB, bit confused:

You’re saying that, if given the job, RVN should get more time to prove himself?

13.) 01 Oct 2024 14:37:03
Thanks Ed002: makes sense I guess to keep RVN to the end of the season to give hierarchy time to deep dive into researching permanent replacements and get the manager they really want next Summer.

Ed002 can I ask why potter has been discarded? Thought he would be a good choice with ineos and ashworth links.

{Ed002's Note - Graham Potter - I understand that he is down the list following discussions.

{Ed002's Note - We are not going to get into any detail right now. This all started in the summer.}

16.) 01 Oct 2024 18:14:41
Wallace what I mean is you can't lump rvn and other coaches with Eth they have only been here a few months ten hag hasn't.

I wouldn't be concerned if a new coach or interim coach kept them all for this season at least.

17.) 02 Oct 2024 12:30:00
What makes Southgate stand out as an option, out of interest?

{Ed002's Note - The club have previously been interested, he has support from the club and his relationship with Ashworth.}

18.) 03 Oct 2024 08:12:38
Southgate rumour mill in full overdrive today.

19.) 03 Oct 2024 08:36:06
Please god no to Southgate. His football has been shocking considering the players available to him.

Tuchel any day over Southgate, but preferably Frank.

Tuchel is great tactically and no doubt is passionate, but has had bust ups with players and upper management.

Frank is a coach with great man management skills, passionate and tactically astute. At Brentford, he has shown he can work well within a structured environment and with the club's mindset.

EtH needs to get some fire into the players and tweak some tactics to get some wins going as his tactics have been found out. It's unfortunate, as we all wanted him to succeed, but I think the writing is on the walls and it's down to him. He has been back in the market heavily and these are his players not performing.

Strangely enough, I think his system would work better without Bruno Fernandes. Bruno's style is to attempt the spectacular, look for the cutting pass and create things. However, his passing accuracy has always been an issue. Right now his passing accuracy for this season is 81% passes completed.

That's nearly ever 1 in 5 passes going astray. While not discounting the chances he has greater and the fact he's been our best player over the past few years, his passion and drive for the team is immense. The risks he takes are just a little to frequent for this team.

I'd like to see him rested and a more stable midfield adopted (Ugarte, Case and Mainoo) to see if we can get things to gel together. Retaining possession while maintaining solid defensively will help us work play for our attackers to be better positioned before the final pass.

This isn't me saying I don't like Bruno in the team but just that alternative approaches need yo be taken and the club should realistically look to cash in on him whole they have the option to do so.

Hello there ed002, with a few days to go i was wondwring if there's any truth that we could look to sign Ivan toney or Calvert Lewin. Thank you for answering.

manunited4000

{Ed002's Note - Toney has a very good offer from Saudi. Calvert Lewin is of interest to others.}

1.) 28 Aug 2024 12:51:55
Calvert lewin would be shocking.

2.) 28 Aug 2024 13:20:37
Why ruud?

3.) 28 Aug 2024 17:15:36
angelred,

I suspect it's because he is average and injury prone.

4.) 29 Aug 2024 12:41:12
Exactly, we don't need players to just fill the physio room.
I'd rather play one of the u23s and blood them.

That said, Toney would give us a different dynamic.
