hi if any of eds about any truth in james moving to utd thanks in advance.

holly8

{Ed002's Note - All dealt with on the Sharkopod Holly.}

1.) 15 May 2017 21:30:12
I asked the same last week.

Ed002's response:

To some extent the situation with James Rodriguez is similar to last year, Real Madrid did not want to sell James in January but they will listen to any very high bids made for the summer as they need to raise funds. Five clubs come in to the picture - Manchester United because they are seen as stupid enough to pay what most sides would see as way over the odds for the player who some would describe as a childish flake; Chelsea as the player has suggested himself that he would like to play for them and live in London - but they won't be held to ransom and have major concerns about his ability to settle in the very culturally different England - and this will probably deter an offer; Arsenal could beome interested but will not be attractive to the player as Manchester United, Chelsea or Bayern Munich; Juventus - but he is one of several potential targets and their interest is elsewhere; and Bayern Munich now that Carlo Ancelotti is there - again they won't be held to ransom but the player has said he would be open to playing for Ancelotti again. However, whilst the intention is that he will be sacrificed in the summer to raise funds, there are some significant things going on in the background that could still have an impact on whether or not he will be leaving during 2016 - so we need to wait and see but I expect circumstances to be such that they will listen to offers or look to include him as part of an exchange deal. But they could block any move until the end of the window awaiting the outcome of a number of issues. His agent has spoken to a number of sides about James including Manchester City - who are unlikely to be interested. Real Madrid has also spoken with PSG through a third party whilst discussions were being held over another player. They could bite later in the transfer window if he is still available but I rather doubt it.

thanks a mill Dobeg for your response.

hi haven't posted in awhile but always on the site if any of the eds around is it true dat uts are going to spend between 300m-400m this summer according to balague.

holly8

{Ed025's Note - i cant see it being that much holly but i imagine it will depend on who leaves mate..

1.) 28 Apr 2017 21:05:22
Thanks a mill ed25 for your quick response.

{Ed025's Note - no problem mate..

2.) 28 Apr 2017 21:06:24
Sounds a ridiculous amount but If we are serious about a Griezman and Belotti then that's 170-190m before we address other issues.
I tend to look at net spend and we are already ahead on that front from. January.

3.) 29 Apr 2017 23:33:52
if you read the papers, we have already spent millions all ready before the transfer window opens.

4.) 30 Apr 2017 16:02:56
DDG will be transfered . Carrick, Rooney, and Mata wages will be available. Herrera could be sold. We will have tons of money for transfer and hopefully it won't be spend on just two players (we need six)

5.) 30 Apr 2017 18:13:43
Steve,

Maya's wages? Is he not going to want them next season? Playing for free?

23 Aug 2015 11:48:34
ed001 have u any info why neymars agent was at game yesterday or does he represent some one else we are looking at because a lot of the press are putting 2 and 2 together and getting 25. because i can't see neymar leaving barca but maybe he is the agent of someone else we interested in hope u mite know thanks

holly8

{Ed001's Note - it could easily be Hulk, as Russian teams have to offload foreign players or Lucas Silva from PSG. I really do not see any chance of Neymar moving.}

1.) 23 Aug 2015 14:15:25
Apparently we have told barca we will go to them in January and next summer and won't give up. We want neymar. We have told the player he will be our highest earner and the main man. Our own Messi! This was on Sunday supplement this am

2.) 23 Aug 2015 14:27:01
Ed001
Lucas silva from psg?

{Ed001's Note - just a suggestion as PSG need to sell players.}

3.) 23 Aug 2015 14:28:30
Sunday supplement is a joke. Just a bunch of mugs with pointless made up sources!

4.) 23 Aug 2015 15:17:09
Thanks for your quick reply ed001 much appreciated hope for a exciting few days in the transfer market

5.) 23 Aug 2015 15:37:15
Lucas Moura surely

6.) 23 Aug 2015 16:12:16
I saw Sunday Supplement and all I saw was Custis rowing back from his original story and trying to look like he was, ITK, at United, it was embarrassing to the point of painful to watch.

7.) 23 Aug 2015 22:46:50
Custis has probably lost count the amount of times he has been banned from the media room at UTD for coming out with unfounded stories like that.

He was going on the information of an 'international agent' who has done as many dodgy dealings as del boy!!!

He doesn't even represent neymar. Wagner ribeiro, Neymars actual agent, came out and rubbished all claims.

I got blocked on twitter for calling it absolute tripe lol

19 Aug 2015 15:25:37
hi all just heard on radio station here in ireland that utd won't sign anyone else this summer and that LVG is happy with what he got please say this is not true anyone of the eds any update or anyone else that lives in manchester know anything. because if this is the case it will be fourth place again i think

holly8

1.) 19 Aug 2015 16:27:28
Welcome Holly,

Arent we joint top of the league at the moment? We've performed better than Chelski and the Gooners? Why exactly will we come 4th and not either of them?

2.) 19 Aug 2015 17:55:31
long season harry we just don't have enough cover up front we need 2 more a number 9 and a winger if rooney gets injured we only have wilson and hernandez and none of them will get u 20 season we need a van nistelrooy type striker

3.) 20 Aug 2015 11:12:29
Rooney is possibly the most influential player we have, however he can only be influential when he gets on he ball. He can't play as the lone striker because he can't drop back, which is why he seems so out of it. Playing Rooney behind Hernandez has worked before so I don't see why it can't work again. These two on form can each get to the 20 goal mark. Wilson is good, but too inexperienced to be their back-up.

The most dangerous situation is our defense at the moment. Smalling has been fantastic so far, but we can't forget how inconsistent he's been since we signed him. Blind is playing well, but is still out of position and Jones should have a fragile sticker on his forehead at all times. Rojo is decent, but seems error prone at times.

A striker and a CB is all we need. We have enough cover on the wings with Depay and Young on the left, Januzaj on either, and Mata on the right with Valencia able to play there as well since we signed Darmian.

Our 'targeted' players have either moved already or have no real interest in leaving their clubs. Van Gaal said he's working on a surprise, so hopefully he springs it on us soon, considering any player signing now would be a surprise.

19 Aug 2015 11:47:59
hi ed001 reports we have dropped interest in pedro is this true surely we can't let another good player slip through have we someone better lined up

holly8

{Ed001's Note - another case of the club valueing a player at more than you are willing to pay and someone else being happy to pay it.}

1.) 19 Aug 2015 12:16:05
Ed001,

Fingers crossed you were correct about him the other day, your write up about him really put me off wanting us to sign him.

{Ed001's Note - I will be hoping the same, well maybe not when Chelsea face you lot, as we are far more likely to be chasing you for 4th than competing with Chelsea.}

2.) 19 Aug 2015 12:18:50
Hopefully this Muller talk is more than paper rubbish, not getting my hopes up though.

3.) 19 Aug 2015 12:19:31
Thats screwed up with the money at hand. Surely LVG opted against it in the end. Has to be only logical option or a better transfer option has come about!

4.) 19 Aug 2015 12:20:04
Do the eds really have any clue what's happening on the transfer front, or is it just like media we will link with everyone and eventually get something right its getting very frustrating now

{Ed001's Note - you are just sticking to your valuations.}

5.) 19 Aug 2015 12:27:34
Wow gutted if this is true, what is E war woo war playing at? Thought the buyout price was pretty reasonable.

{Ed001's Note - it is only reasonable if the management team as a whole feel that he is worth it. Clearly they didn't.}

6.) 19 Aug 2015 12:32:33
Don't really understand Pedro at Chelsea. Don't think he will fit their style as much as he would to arsenals and man citys

7.) 19 Aug 2015 12:59:26
Perhaps the start to the season Januzaj has had has made us reevaluate what we need. Wide poitions do look relative well stocked to me. Depay, Mata, Januzaj, Young. All of the above are also interchangeable in the No 10 position.

With the continued progress of Smalling all I see us potentially getting is a striker to challenge/usurp Rooney.

8.) 19 Aug 2015 13:06:47
"United do not want to pay what Barcelona want because Van Gaal decided, despite contact with the player, that he was now not needed."

9.) 19 Aug 2015 12:53:39
really hope we have someone else in mind and this doesn't turn out to be a huge mistake

10.) 19 Aug 2015 12:56:44
Is muller after a new contract

11.) 19 Aug 2015 14:55:50
Looks like it doesn't Eric the Red .just deploying Ramos tactics I think and United appear to be the obvious choice for players to play off against their current employers.p.s If Memphis continues to play like last night then I guarantee Real Madrid will come sniffing within 2 seasons !!!.same old, same old.

12.) 19 Aug 2015 15:38:54
Mixed feelings about Pedro news. On one hand disappointed because, if he had adapted quickly to PL and Van Gaal's prochesses, he could've been exactly what we needed: Mata would've had an extra option to put him through on the right and he's got a great scoring record.

However, just seen mbd's comment - another one trick winger who will soon get found out? Also thought-Provoking comments from Ed001 a while ago. Think we have to have faith in Van Gaal that deal veto'd for a good reason. Am going to guess at the following:

1. After impressing in the last two games, van Gaal's going to give more time to Januzaj, who is younger and has more potential.

2. He's also got Perreira to come in, plus Lingard - plus Herrera to fit in (maybe)

3. Once Pedro heard Chelsea interested, he didn't want to come to United.

4. Van Gaal concerned that he's losing his pace, his main asset.

5. Van Gaal would rather use the money (fee and wages) to buy someone else

6. He's already got Valencia on the right wing

So who knows what really happened.

Just really hope that we'll bring in an amazing striker instead.

hi with jose, s recent coments about bale i think that's why utd haven't gone in with a bigger offer for perisic i think he is waiting for bale to become available what do the eds think thanks in advance.

holly8

{Ed001's Note - do you mean Ed Woodward is? Certainly that is the signing Woodward wants to make as a statement.}

1.) 07 Aug 2017 18:11:21
Ed do you see the move happening?
Clearly woodward wants him but does jose?

{Ed001's Note - both want him. Like I said the big issue is persuading Bale to move to Manchester. His preference is to stay put.}

2.) 07 Aug 2017 18:17:20
Seems to like a statement signing.

3.) 07 Aug 2017 18:58:48
And if he's told he's not first choice ed, is it possible?

{Ed001's Note - Madrid want the sale now, so it does seem very likely he will move, but this is Madrid and they are a shambles internally so who knows really? I mean they have been trying to get rid of Benzema for years and he is still there.}

4.) 08 Aug 2017 01:40:49
May be it is because nobody wants Benzema Ed! or they have put a large price tag no body wants to pay. If Bale is to be sold then surely United will put a bid IMO.

{Ed001's Note - lots of clubs want Benzema, it is that he does not want to go.}

11 Nov 2015 15:13:33
quick question, with lvg looking for a fast winger would anyone agree when luke shaw is fit could he be used as a winger? very fast and young enough to mould into that position. look at bale, he started as a left back. what's the point of spending loads of money for a pacy winger when we have one in the squad. rojo and blind can cover left back, we just need a decent centre half to partner mike smalling. what do the posters think?

holly8

{Ed033's Note - mike smalling

1.) 11 Nov 2015 16:09:11
Ed,
I think LvG once called him 'Mike' Smalling and it has stuck ever since, lol.

2.) 11 Nov 2015 17:09:59
is he related to Michael Carrot?

3.) 11 Nov 2015 16:24:26
Shaw for me is best as a left back. He doesn't have an eye for goal which is needed to make the transition.

4.) 11 Nov 2015 20:44:19
If we're looking for an x factor signing how about Simon Cowell he like a high line.

5.) 11 Nov 2015 19:16:20
More than once dags.

22 Aug 2015 14:38:16
one word everbody we need a STRIKER

holly8

1.) 22 Aug 2015 14:41:37
Thats 4 words

2.) 22 Aug 2015 14:42:37
That's 4 words holly

3.) 22 Aug 2015 15:01:01
No need to shout Holly8.

20 Aug 2015 11:20:48
hi if any of the eds around can u please explain how come city can spend so much money again if they get de bryne if will be nearly 160 mill spend

holly8

{Ed007's Note - Their sanctions were lifted after they met the financial targets agreed with UEFA.}

1.) 20 Aug 2015 14:42:59
Are they likely to breach again with this spending, or are they, somehow, keeping within the spending regulations? Impressive if they are staying the correct side of the rules.

{Ed007's Note - As per usual it's complicated and I'm no expert but City's net spend in financial/accounts terms without De Bruyne is 'only' £35 million with circa £65 million coming in from outgoings. UEFA said if City lost only £15m in the 2013-14 financial year (which they did with a bit of jiggery pokery) and only £7m in 2014-15 the sanctions would be lifted. The 2014-15 figures haven't been released yet but it looks like they have complied or UEFA wouldn't have lifted the sanctions.}

2.) 20 Aug 2015 15:06:03
ED07 so could this spending potentially hurt them next season and lead to UEFA enforcing fresh sanctions on them?

{Ed007's Note - No.}
