Once again, looking forward to our next game tomorrow which has been a rarity in recent seasons. You’re only as good as your next game and it’s a good weekend with either or both Villa or Liverpool dropping points and same for Bournemouth or City and Tottenham or Chelsea.

I’m looking forward to seeing how Amorim sets up and approaches the game. A lot is spoken about a “style of play” but what has impressed me is that the last two games, Amorim has set up very differently the way the team played to counter the opposition which is brilliant and shows that the team is capable of adapting for the team in front of them. The basics have remained the same but little tweaks have really given us an edge in what most people would have had down as two defeats for us. Really hope the momentum continues with us this weekend.

Awaiting the multi Maze personalities to turn up with his negative bolloxology.
A great win.

Fizz,

We won, he will be back when we lose, rinse and repeat.

26 Oct 2025 16:19:06
You will be seeing him no time soon.

26 Oct 2025 18:38:31
UA,

Guess that means because we won’t lose for a while but it sounds quite sinister, like you’ve killed him off 😂.

27 Oct 2025 07:18:29
UA and GDS2 😂.

27 Oct 2025 11:28:28
GDS2, he himself kills off his personality every time we win. So he would have hacked off a couple of them in the last 2 weeks i guess and should be back with a new one. I just hope that it is no time soon.

28 Oct 2025 19:31:30
He’s returned, talking the same old nonsense on the main page.

28 Oct 2025 20:30:18
Lads you're throwing buns to an elephant. Don't feed the ego. No mention - like he doesn't exist is tyke only way.

25 Oct 2025 20:31:53
Played excellently for 80 mins, bit of a panic near the end, but how enjoyable was that, definitely moving in the right direction now. Up at 4th for a while a least. The Red machine is waking up again, good times are coming!

Watching the team walkout today feels like we’re a little better and a little stronger for the back to back wins. A tougher proposition. Come on lads.

I was really worried before the game, but the low block game plan worked. The team gave 100% and played really well. RA must be so frustrated with his players, first game against Arsenal we played well and didn't deserve to lose, but l said if we play like this every game we'll do well this season, but we then the play dropped. Again today great work, team spirit and concentration. RA just needs this consistency and we could end up very near the top four, that's a big ask, but the team has shown with right attitude then can do it. Big confidence boost today, hopefully they kick on.

Also, Cunha take a bow. What a real menace he was at times. Very strong on the ball too. Really nice to see. Loved getting that result today and I really hope the team now starts putting in the effort every week.

Great performance, great game plan, move on., .
No actually let's not, that was a massive win! The best I had hoped for pre game was a draw.
Ole mate slabhead, as much as I do not rate him, by gosh he has stepped up for this game.
Amorim got his tactics spot on, even starting CAS and Bruno.

Couple of nitpicking items.
Mount was not at the races as generally ineffective.
Our ay slows massively at the back, but I think that was deliberate today.

What a game. This has been building. Now we need to beat Brighton at home and keep striding on.

I hope this swings some of the neggy Nellie's into being a bit more positive about Amorim and the direction.

Hey Jimbo, I'm swinging, today was awesome.

2 wins in a row, a first for RA, and winning at Anfield is always special.

Happy to be proved wrong on RA, I really hope this is the start of a great run.

20 Oct 2025 12:33:31
Great win, but it means nothing if we drop points against Brighton, need to keep momentum and confidence by going on a winning run.

20 Oct 2025 15:54:16
I know what you’re getting at Grim but it won’t mean nothing if we don’t win next week. We haven’t beaten Brighton at home for 4 years, lost the last 3 pretty comfortably, a win next week would be huge for us, another step in the right direction, but look at the league table, it’s so tight, everyone is taking points off everyone else, we are 2 wins away from challenging for top 4 and 2 defeats away from struggling in the bottom half.

There will be ups and down this season (for every team, for most there already has been) it just feels like every time United lose it’s a disaster, the manager needs sacking and all of the players are useless.

Every win at the moment is a huge one, we still have a negative GD, we need days like yesterday to be a catalyst for something good but don’t fool yourself into thinking we will just go and win every game now, or that we even have to win every game to remain competitive.

This team has been very good over the years at getting themselves up for big games and then letting us all down against smaller teams. This season feels a bit different to me, the fight seems there the whole time, so let’s see, I’m excited for the rest of the season, I think we have navigated the tough first 8 games better than many imagined.

There is nothing better in football life than beating the scousers, and to do it at anfield is even better. The lineup had me worried especially due to a lack of mobility and pace but I hold my hands up and give deligt and Maguire praise. They were excellent as was the goalkeeper. Honestly how great Is it to have a keeper we can trust and not be sat there waiting for a calamity. Mbeumo excellent also. Good all round and a real confidence boost for everyone. Let's make a habit of this please. Have a great week everyone, the scousers at my work will be explicable by their quietness lol.

Yes, especially scoring a winner after having conceded a late equaliser. Absolutely awesome today.

19 Oct 2025 19:10:57
I've not been convinved by Amorim but I bow before him today. Any win at Anfield is special and well deserved but today's was awesome.

Dropping Sesko may have seemed counter intuitive but the fluidity and extra legs helped. But the biggest thing today was having conceded an equaliser, we went again and found a winner, what amazing spirit.

Maguire gets stick, far more than he deserves. He will never be world class, he is no Rio, and he can look cumbersome, but he has spirit, commitment, and far more ability than most give him credit for. Harry, I salute you, and I will continue to champion you.

A great win, hopefully a season changing one, a huge marker to put down. Not many will win at Anfield.

Bloody marvellous result. Well done lads.

19 Oct 2025 20:45:03
Someone gave me a thumbs down 🤷.

20 Oct 2025 10:30:58
I reluctantly have to concede that slabhead had his one in a blue moon performance and fair play to him.

Great performance from the lads today. Rode our luck a little but battled it out to get a result that will definitely give them impetus moving forward.

Couldn’t watch live so it was a nice game to watch over breakfast.

Please let this be the start of the reset proper!

Good to read all the negative prognostications and criticism of the manager by our fans on here after the line up was announced.

We had some luck with the woodwork but we also had a few chances. Brilliant result. Only 3 points off top 3. With a reduced schedule the squad should stay healthy. Would anyone have expected us to be any better off after the first 8 games, which included Chelsea, Liverpool, City and Arsenal. Dare to hope?
