A win tomorrow and were 2 points behind Chelsea. After all, were only playing Liverpool.

Great set of results for us today to be honest mad hatter.
It gives us a free shot so to speak. Most didn't expect us to come out still only 5 begins Chelsea let's hope we can make it 4 or 2.
Lets be honest any sort of result there would be a great achievement.
Lets hope we dig in and get about them and we make the most of any opportunities we get.
Rashford is a big loss and he seems to get more out of martial so its not going to be easy.
Cant wait to see awb v mane.
Martial v vvd
James v ta
Salah v Williams
We need to win each individual battle hope we finish with 11 men🤗.

Liverpool seemed nervous about losing to us at OT, any repeat gives us a chance. First goal will be important, if they get it then I am not sure we have a game plan to win. Stranger things have happened, in the eighties we used to go there and give them a good game. To be honest I don’t have a good feeling about today, but make it like a cup tie, give it a go and see what happens. I fancy a Greenwood goal but if they score first it may only be a consolation, my guess is 3-1 to them today.

I understand Utd's stance on Bruno. Yes they want an attack midfielder and yes they like Bruno but not enough to splash serious money on him.

Is he young? No.

Is he a superstar? No.

Will he develop into a superstar at Utd? Almost certainly not.

Will he shift shirts globally? No.

Will he score 30+ goals a season and single handedly drag Utd back into the big time? No.

He's a younger version of Mata. A good player to have but not one that gets the 'juices flowing, ' not one that'll take charge of games with dazzling skill and devastating attack threat.

A lovely link between midfield and attack in a settled side just lacking a bit of finesse but Utd are so far from a such a side that I doubt he'd make that much difference.

Utd need to build from the back and spend serious cash on a world class defender and then spend even more on a dominant box-to-box midfielder long before they spend serious wonga on a silky little midfielder.

The young, global superstar who sells shirts was Pogba and look how that’s turned out Keano.
He’s far more than a young Juan Mata, he’s a very different player. Someone with legs who can score, assist and doesn’t mind dong the dirty work and tracking back.
He’s exactly the type of player we’re screaming out for in midfield.
I agree we need to spend some money on defence though.

Rash Greenwood and Martial have scored more than Liverpool front 3. James has as many assists as mane, only TAA has more for Liverpool.

We need more from midfield. Mata, Lingard, Andreas have all struggled to score and assist goals.

Bruno would certainly improve our team offensively without weakening it defensively. He could play at 8 in some games, or 10 in others. He would be an excellent signing.

Unless we were targeting a crazy money raid on Leicester for Maddison in the summer, I would say it is a no brainer. And $70m in today's market does not seem that crazy to me.

I’m not sure that any of those questions are the reason you should buy a player. He’s clearly got some ability and would greatly improve us. United are right to not get diddled with an overly-inflated fee, but he seems more like the experience and grafting type we need in midfield. Besides, he can thread a through-ball well enough and we have nobody who can do that at the moment!

Don't get me wrong I'd love it if we bought Bruno as like all fans it's great when your club spends big on creative players. However I honestly think we'd benefit far more splashing that cash on Soumare. He's the sort of box-to-box midfielder that would hugely improve our appalling midfield. A real diesel engine of a player that would break up opposite attacks, shield our fragile defence and allow our attackers more freedom to get forward. I think we should concentrate on getting our foundations right (rock solid defence and energetic combative midfield) before splashing money on lovely luxury attackers.

This site is ridiculous, deal is potentially about to go down the rubbishter and already you are finding excuses why we are better off not signing him. Some on here sound like you've been getting reasoning advice from the glazers and ole himself.

Precisely Dazw. My point exactly.

I also would love to see Maddison come in aswell anyway. Then we could play 4141 with one midfielder holding and Bruno and Maddison ahead, much like city do. Outrageously expensive, but how good would that be!

Keano1,

Soumare is very young and lacks experience. Bruno has that experience. Its experienced players like him, that we need.

Keano1 - I would say at 25 Bruno is exactly the age that suits. experience under this belt a good 5 years ahead of him. for 60 mill.

Win tomorrow and the gap between is and Chelsea will be closed to 2 points.
It might be the Malbec talking but I think we'll get something out of the game tomorrow.

Probably a strong career choice. Dortmund will make him a star. Then Bayern or Real will make him a superstar.

Of course is early days but could go down as one that got away along with shearer ronaldhino and gazza. Those 3 turned fergie down so can't use this as a stock too beat anyone players have be turning down united for years. You win some you lose some its always been that way.

The one who I always wanted at United was Batistuta. He would’ve taken the league by storm. One of my all time favourites.
