Why don't we get rid of Pogba to Real Madrid and say give us Bale and £60-70m.

MarkMU

1.) 07 Jul 2019 23:51:19
Because we don’t need to disrupt our wage balance even more, especially with him wanting a 5 year deal and god knows how often he will be playing to max of his ability in those 5 years.

2.) 08 Jul 2019 01:02:22
Would rather sell pogba for the 120-150 million that's being reported and buy Sancho for rw.

Get in a CB and 2 first team central mids with 1 prospect and if lukaku goes get vardy for a few seasons

Still pacy and scores goals.

3.) 08 Jul 2019 06:06:58
I would have preferred to sign Bale if we had an option to shift out Sanchez.
So that wage issues don't get out of control.

4.) 08 Jul 2019 08:51:25
Would rather have just cash than 70m + bale. We already have one ageing player on a huge contract who we are struggling to get rid of, the last thing we need is another Sanchez.

5.) 08 Jul 2019 10:30:46
The people crying out for Bale and saying he won't be like Sanchez are the same people who were crying out for Sanchez and saying he wouldn't be like Di Maria.

Some people just want a big name signing. It doesn't matter if they fit into the team or if they are aging or on the decline. Just as long as they have a huge reputation and will be signed for lots of money.

6.) 08 Jul 2019 11:00:11
Shappy, Bale is worth the risk imo.
He will win games on his own if he stays fit (a big if though) .
He brings massive goal threat, quality set-pieces etc, .
Since we are targeting a lot of youngsters, Bale on song can take the spotlight away from them.

But we should sign him on 'our terms' like more of his wages should be incentivised.

7.) 08 Jul 2019 12:19:01
TrueRedDevil, the same was said of Sanchez. "A true world class player who could carry our young forwards" "not a risk even on those wages" "worth every penny" etc etc.

IF Bale can stay fit. IF he can adapt to our way of playing. IF he isn't in decline.

Lots of if's. The only guarantee is he would be on higher wages than Sanchez is on currently unless he takes a pay cut.

He is a player who heavily relies on pace at an age where he will start to slow down. Then when you take into consideration the injuries he has had (which often shortens a players career) then it seems like a reckless move that isn't necessary.

8.) 08 Jul 2019 17:56:51
Bale is not United’s future.

9.) 08 Jul 2019 21:24:48
Bale is not interested in moving to United, we need players that want to be here, not another di Maria.

One player who I think Ole would like rid of is Lingard. I feel Ole wants to go back to the strict structure of SAF, therefore Lingard doesn't fit the brief. Personally, it wouldn't bother me should he leave. Speaking of the defence; De Gaa, Biss, Shaw, Maguire, Lindeloff would be a solid back line. It may be a little left field, but Milner would improve us for 18 months. He's a leader by example, something we do not have.

MarkMU

1.) 23 Jul 2019 15:47:57
Mark,

Let me guess this right, you think Ole wants rid of Lingard, based on what exactly? He played him a lot last season, has used him in pre-season regularly and never said anything bad about him. Do you mean you would like Ole to get rid of Lingard?

Milner, wow.

2.) 23 Jul 2019 15:52:10
Milner? Get a grip pal. From Leeds to City to Liverpool?

3.) 23 Jul 2019 15:57:38
What gives you that impression?

4.) 23 Jul 2019 16:06:07
Milner as in the former Leeds, former City and current player for that lot at Castle Grey Skull? No ta.

5.) 23 Jul 2019 16:22:41
Mark does the MU on your name mean MAD UNDOUBTEDLY😂.

6.) 23 Jul 2019 16:24:41
Not saying i agree on milner but there's one thing i do like bout him and something we lack he constantly gives atleast a 7/ 10 performance every game. there's not many games liverpool carry milner and that definitely is something i'm hoping ole can get out of some of the lads next season.

7.) 23 Jul 2019 16:52:16
W16 bang on.
I was pro signing milner on a free from city.
A really solid player who is worth his weight in gold to Amy squad and he had all the medals to prove it.
But not now he is on the decline and played for the not so holy trinity.
If some of our lads applied themselves to their profession the way milner has we would be in better shape.

8.) 23 Jul 2019 17:19:08
MarkMU U SHOULD BE BARRED FROM THIS SITE FOR THAT COMMENT ABOUT MILNER MATE 😂😂😂.

9.) 23 Jul 2019 17:33:15
I'm loosing my mind after reading this post lol.

10.) 23 Jul 2019 17:50:42
Please don't tarnish the name 'Mad'I refuse to be tar fished with the same brush as Mark 🤣.

11.) 23 Jul 2019 18:22:59
How is 4 goals and some below average passing a 7/ 10 in every game?

12.) 23 Jul 2019 18:36:47
I would take Milner in a heart beat, the current guy who plays Fred the Red needs replacing and who better?

13.) 23 Jul 2019 19:00:52
Listen to you all. Mark comes on here and makes a perfectly valid point and you all gang up on him. Don’t take it personally Mark, they should know better. To try and make up for it, please accept the Deluded Poster of the Day Award.

14.) 23 Jul 2019 19:02:52
Is that Milner who comes from an area of Leeds and known to absolutely hate Utd, who plays for Liverpool who we never do transfer business with and also played for City? A straight No is sufficient.

15.) 23 Jul 2019 20:47:07
AJH, drama queen, deluded, what next? 😂

I nominate the category of 'RTFP award of the day'.

16.) 23 Jul 2019 21:07:58
Every day is a treasure trove right now.

17.) 24 Jul 2019 00:38:19
Milner? We no.

13 Jul 2019 12:55:26
Why don't we go back to WHU with an improved offer for DIOP. He meets all our criteria's.

MarkMU

1.) 13 Jul 2019 13:18:06
What criteria is that, shipping in lots of goals. wouldn't touch him with a barge pole.

2.) 13 Jul 2019 14:06:17
Issa Diop has had a great season for West Ham, he does tick a lot of the boxes plus has EPL experience.

3.) 13 Jul 2019 19:44:22
Diop seems rusty.
Gives away a lot of fouls. He needs to stay at West ham to improve further.

08 Jul 2019 22:15:45
If Ole can get Maguire our back line will be decent; De Gaa, Bissaka, Shaw, Maguire, Lindeoff.

MarkMU

1.) 09 Jul 2019 00:43:59
Add 2 to 3 central midfielders a rw and a striker if lukaku goes and we would have had the perfect window.

2.) 09 Jul 2019 08:00:23
Not much then bolger lol, 8 signings in one window if you add in james and awb.

TBH. I’d swap Martial for Diop. He reminds me of a young Ferdinand. Martial hasn’t blossomed like we hope, whereas Diop looks quality and will instant improve our back line.

Would love Loftus Cheek and Declan Rice. They’d sort out central midfield out.

We should have bought Rice, Diop, Hudson Oboye along with James. It’d add pace, strength and energy to our slow slow team.
We need to lose Smalling, Jones, Young etc. I think I’d cash in on Lingard and Rashford.

Quality player at WHU. Think he was French U21 Captain. Bit like Ferdinand.

Get Rice and Loftus Cheek. Both young, fit and probably gettable. It’d solve our CM problem.

MarkMU

{Ed025's Note - rice and loftus cheek?, that sounds like a meal you get in the bayou of the southern states of america mark.. :)

I’d go for Rice and Diop at West Ham and Odoi at Chelsea. May even go for Milner and make him captain. We are rudderless.
