Amorim has gone
Terrible day for the club, they are a shambles. They knew what they were getting but failed him.
05 Jan 2026 10:57:32
Red man, he failed us too.
05 Jan 2026 11:10:00
I feel the same Red Man. I think we have lost a diamond who was beginning to make things happen. Same old rinse and repeat. Utter shambles.
05 Jan 2026 11:10:55
That’s the thing, while I don’t think Amorim was the right man it was those above who put him there. Berrada and Wilcox have been a shambles so I have zero trust in them. They kept eth then spent on his players only to sack him.
They fell out with ashworth after 3 months and got him sacked. They then hired RA knowing his philosophy and tactics and didn’t fully provide him the support. If anything this is more on them than the manager.

Angel
Working so can’t write essays however if you listened to Amorim and understood what it needs to change the ethos and workings within a business who have always done things a set way, you would more likely understand Amorim was the hope for a different future.
Now we have continuity Wilcox which is continuing a mess. They extended ETH at the wrong time yet didn’t support one of Europes brightest young managers.
I also think there is discord higher up as well. A model which has majority supposedly silent owners and active minority runners of part of the business who peskily may ask for money that could be distributed in dividends there is risk of issues.
Who knows but I am disgusted with the club having seen it unravel very quickly and it looks like over this window. No value in the market all over again and we know what drove that.

Red man, although much of that is true. I still think he was the wrong man for this job and his stats back that up. High level Football is about the here and now and he continually tried to put square pegs in round holes.
Whatever is wrong with upstairs, it becomes a lot easier to manage if the coach appointed is actually doing his job correctly and he wasn't.
05 Jan 2026 11:56:53
Agree again RM. Utter shambles.
05 Jan 2026 10:08:26
There we go. Now let's see where we end up with this 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 or whatever it will be. If my heart weren't in it I would love to say I am done with this damn club now, but hey ho it just doesn't work that way. let's hope the club align on something and stick to it.
Thanks Ruben! You were wronged.
05 Jan 2026 10:58:39
He's been pretty crap since he took over. I don't think he has been wronged. He hasn't helped himself one bit, no sympathy.
05 Jan 2026 10:05:17
Well Ruben amorim has been sacked pretty much inevitable after yesterday's comments but really Jason Wilcox should be following him out the door for me.

Those that want Amorim out are missing the real issues
1.Jason Wilcox
2. Glazers
If Wilcox cannot deliver a CM or what the manager plus all of us can see, then he should resign.
I do wonder if the Glazers are behind a change in direction, previous rumours saying they were pushing for change, plus who benefits from more profit from not spending?
Another manager change will only leave the same issues.
05 Jan 2026 07:59:18
If Amorim does go then Wilcox should follow him. He was part of the recruitment process for the manager so all the supposed issues that he has with RA he should have known about. Ie his tactical setup, rigidity, etc and they hired a man to play a system that this squad wasn’t built for.
Amorim has issues but those above him have many more. If Amorim goes it’s a mess, if he stays then the media will have a field day. Circus is back in town!

Sadly, it isn't looking good, and it appears that we might be heading toward yet another change of manager. When will this lunacy end?!
05 Jan 2026 10:02:16
Fizz, the club is run by idiots. We’ve replaced one bunch of clowns with another. Honestly it’s so disheartening.
