Hi ed002, if you can help, which clubs are interested on Luke Shaw and Chris Smailling?

Kenedyandy

{Ed002's Note - Everton and no one that I am aware of right now

1.) 15 Jul 2018 10:40:00
Thanks Ed.

24 May 2018 12:06:35
#mufc have reached an agreement with Shakhtar Donetsk for Fred - €50m [di marzio].

Kenedyandy

1.) 24 May 2018 13:49:48
Just seen that Ken, also says we have not intention of spending €100m on Savic though there is interest. Surprisingly says Jose would take Mandzukic from Juve with Darmian going the other way.

2.) 24 May 2018 14:00:47
apparently mandzukic with arnautovic back up. if only we had ed002 to confirm this. perhaps a tiny nugget of wisdom? :)

3.) 24 May 2018 14:20:26
He is saying for now Utd unwilling to pay that asking price for Sergej, so things can change, Savic is player I would like to join the club.

Ed002 did say Lazio may end up pricing him out of the market. He is always ahead of everyone.

4.) 24 May 2018 16:10:05
is he any good? only seen you tube clips these last few days.

5.) 24 May 2018 16:43:05
If we get Fred, savic is not going to happen. It is one or the other.

6.) 24 May 2018 20:17:00
If pogba does the off, you never know.

7.) 25 May 2018 04:35:18
Yeah Eddy is your bestie who tells you wr lose two midfielders but will only. buy one! Damn,

8.) 25 May 2018 11:16:19
The Independent newspaper are reporting this also - with deal for SMS looking unlikely because of “rediculous” fee and other contractual add ons. All in the article.

Have a look at Miguel Delaney’s most recent articles about United in the Indie (especially latest on Mourinho) - really perceptive and well-balanced.

9.) 25 May 2018 16:01:14
Wallace not to burst your bubble buddy but delaney is fibber, he rarely has any actual real news, he is like the aggregator version of journalists who just takes other's stories and puts it out as own.

18 Feb 2018 15:03:21
Hi Eds, have MU shown interest to goalkeepers for in case De gea lives in the summer?

Kenedyandy

{Ed001's Note - yes.}

1.) 18 Feb 2018 15:44:49
Thanks for reply, Can you tell where the interest have been shown?

{Ed001's Note - Alisson, Oblak, Donnarumma, Butland, though there is just as much chance of Romero being given a run rather than a new one being bought.}

2.) 18 Feb 2018 16:09:01
Thank you Ed.

{Ed001's Note - welcome.}

3.) 18 Feb 2018 16:10:50
Do you expect De Gea to leave? Thanks in advance.

{Ed001's Note - far too soon to say.}

4.) 18 Feb 2018 17:22:58
Ed001, if DDG was to leave who in your opinion would be the best option to replace him?
Cheers.

{Ed001's Note - Alisson, he is the one keeper who has the potential to be better than DDG.}

5.) 19 Feb 2018 09:53:27
Liverpool want him also don’t they and Real.

6.) 19 Feb 2018 10:41:12
Liverpool wants Navas, and Madrid want Allison to be a back up keeper. There are very good insight about Real Madrid transfer plans from Ed002 on their page.

7.) 20 Feb 2018 04:27:51
Anymore players (any position) we are looking at you can name ed1? What positions are we trying to strengthen in?

Thanks.

{Ed001's Note - defenders. They seem to be the main priority for the summer. Full backs in particular. There is interest in the Napoli full backs but I am not sure they will want to move this summer as Napoli seem to be building something right now. Also interest in Inter's Cancelo though I am not sure if he is a full back or defender or not, just know he has been recommended.}

8.) 20 Feb 2018 08:46:21
We do need strengthening in the full back areas so hopefully we get the defenders correct because many transfers in the recent years haven't worked out as hoped.

On a side note I hope Napoli win the Serie-A this year BUT I have a fear they will be raided a bit by other clubs and might end up in a situation similar to Monaco of this season.

Also ed1 when we were looking at Lindelof you said you expect him to be a good buy, the club had scouted him for a long time and also people who watched him more regularly than you told you he would be a good buy.
So my question is what do you make of him? He hasn't played a lot but he hasn't played well enough on the occasions he has been selected?

Do you we should stick by him and will we stick by him or will he be moved on if possible?

I think we should give him a chance.

Thanks.

{Ed001's Note - you have to give him more of a chance than he has had if he is to succeed. Though he has not impressed so far, he has been in and out and very few players can impress without a steady run of games.}

9.) 20 Feb 2018 12:46:02
The guy needs game time. Some players settle quicker than others.

Ed given we seem to be looking at bringing in 2-3 defenders I'm guessing some are going to be moved on. Any indications on who may be available or if any clubs are interested in any?

{Ed001's Note - Blind, Smalling, Jones, Shaw and Rojo off the top of my head are players Jose would like to be replaced.}

10.) 20 Feb 2018 12:56:48
Basically the a whole ne2 defence is needed. I think ww should keep Rojo as a back up and Shaw as someone to rotate with next year.

Ed do you think Young will move on next yeqr or will he still have a part to play as a full back next year.

{Ed001's Note - Jose likes him and would like to keep him, for now at least.}

11.) 20 Feb 2018 13:12:09
Cool thnx ed.

{Ed001's Note - welcome.}

12.) 20 Feb 2018 13:29:47
You forget Darmian Ed001, and thanks for your information.

Names of central defenders Mou would be interested to if you have any?

{Ed001's Note - you are right I did forget all about Darmian.

I don't know what centre backs are being looked at right now, sorry.}

13.) 20 Feb 2018 13:40:05
No worry Ed, thank you again.

{Ed001's Note - very welcome.}

14.) 20 Feb 2018 14:21:24
Are we interested in Tierney of Celtic? It will be hard for anyone to prise him away from Celtic for sometime still but you don't know until you try.

{Ed007's Note - Utd are just one of the clubs that would love to sign Tierney but it's not going to happen any time soon. It'll be years before he leaves Celtic, if at all.}

15.) 20 Feb 2018 14:37:55
Although it might sound a bit rude, bit harsh Bond but surely he will want to move to a different league and look for a new challenge. Surely he will at some point get bored of winning the Scottish League but never really having a strong chance of getting into the latter stages of the CL.

I know he is a born and bred Celtic guy but still.

{Ed007's Note - Maybe in years to come but I wouldn't be at all surprised to see KT emulate Paul McStay and stay at Celtic his entire career. He'll need to move out of his folk's house first lol The latter stages of the CL aren't the be all and end of a footballer's ambition and with the dawning of Euro Super Leagues who knows what the future holds:

www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/43080086

Btw, I know KT has a soft spot for Utd so they would definitely have a strong chance of signing him if he ever does decide to move.}

16.) 20 Feb 2018 15:15:14
Get in there bond now we are talking. He seems to have a very sensible head, a humble guy with feet firmly on the ground. It's actually a great thing that his love for Celtic might be enough for him to turn down tons of money, a fancy new city, everything. I know he is living hid dream and that is one of main reason I am very fond of him.

{Ed007's Note - Money won't come into it for him, Deep and he doesn't buy into all the glitz and glamour side of modern football. While other young players are out partying and chasing women KT's sitting in his room playing video games with Paddy Roberts - I think KT's mam even put bunk beds in the room for them ;)

17.) 20 Feb 2018 15:45:52
That is a very interesting to hear edu and my fondness for KT is growing by the posts. But shouldn't that be the norm ed? Loyalty before money. Most players at the top tier still make more money than majority of the fans that pay to see them play.

But I hope we sign him down the line and I wouldn't be surprised if he ends being the captain wherever he goes (or stays? )

{Ed007's Note - Players get far too much too early these days and a lot of them could learn a thing or two from KT about how to carry themselves, simple things he does like making sure everyone outside the ground or training ground gets an autograph or picture no matter how many there is waiting show you the kind of young man he is.
He's already captained Celtic - the 2nd youngest in our history - a few times and his ambition is to be Celtic's club captain at some point.}

18.) 20 Feb 2018 19:24:57
KT is right to stay where is is for anther couple of years at least imo. He is working under a very good coach imo and will gain geat experience at Celtic playing every week. If he continues to progress and improve he will move eventually but he is only a kid. No need for him to move yet imo.

19.) 21 Feb 2018 11:02:13
he's already at the biggest club in the world deep.

20.) 21 Feb 2018 14:16:00
Got it Bhoy. Got it😉.

21.) 25 Feb 2018 09:30:22
What do you think of Romero ed1? I think he is great keeper for us to be the backup but If he is to replace DDG (if he goes) then I won't be as confident. Also how is the young lady J. Pereira though of as?

Thanks.

{Ed001's Note - as a back up, Romero is excellent, but not good enough to be first choice. You would need to replace de Gea if he went. Pereira did well at Rochdale but not sure how he is getting on this season or last at Belenenses, though I would assume he did well as he is very highly thought of by the Portugal international set up. He could well have been in contention for the World Cup squad (as 3rd choice keeper) if he had been out on loan again and acquitted himelf well, as they really rate him.}

22.) 25 Feb 2018 10:12:26
Pereira did have good reviews, reports during his time at Belenenses and was recalled last January. I think he should have been loaned out last window to a club where he would have played regularly (or even in summer) once we had DDG and Romero for at least this season.
I just hope it doesn't turn into a D. Ward situation where the lad doesn't get to play at all and doesn't get to go somewhere else and prove himself, just rots on the bench as 3rd choice.

{Ed001's Note - agreed, that does no one any good.}

14 Feb 2018 10:15:21
Hi Eds, Does Ac Milan maintain interest on Herrera?

Kenedyandy

{Ed002's Note - Yes but I doubt it will go anywhere.}

1.) 14 Feb 2018 13:59:44
Thanks Ed.

2.) 14 Feb 2018 16:57:47
Ed,

Would we still go after Lewandowski in the summer or has the interest ended.

Thanks as always.

{Ed002's Note - I would not rule it out and I expect interest from elsewhere as well.}

02 Nov 2017 06:29:46
Fellaini rejected a new contract has it as been reported, if in case he doesn't sign a new one will the club let him go in january? if he goes on January will the club look to replace him?

Kenedyandy

1.) 02 Nov 2017 11:30:40
If rumours are to be beloved Kenedy, then Jose is looking to bring back pereira in January. Such a shame he decided to go on loan as I think he would have played a lot of games with the injuries we have had. And since we have struggled for creativity without pogba, I think he would have flourished.

2.) 02 Nov 2017 14:28:35
Be great to have pereira back. I'm sure he will get plenty of time. Valencia 2nd in La Liga at the moment and he gets quite a lot of games.

Utd would be ready to meet all demands asked by Spurs if Harry Kane decides to leave them.

There are well detailed information by Ed002 on City page.

Kenedyandy

1.) 30 Mar 2021 11:33:51
I can see this being a great option for Woodward but for me this should only be an option if the other areas required are also filled. I am not sure whether Kane is peaking as a striker but it does appear that he is performing greater as an all round player with lots of assists.
I think if available then as a front 3 unit he would elevate us greatly. I do worry though that this is just a plaster on broken bone when we have other areas of concern.
My dad loves Kane and his view is that if available Olly should argue the board bring him in with all other player purchases paid for by either sales or swaps. He believes that there are lots to get rid of and would utilise the youth set up to fill gaps in the overall squad if necessary. An excample of this is sell Lindelof and Bailley (perfomance levels and injury), release Jones and promote fully Tuanzebe. Use the money generated to buy CB that will raise the unit as a whole.

2.) 30 Mar 2021 12:09:24
If the financial elements are feasible and Kane actually wants to move then its a no brainer regardless of the other positions that need strengthening.

The guy is guaranteed goals.

3.) 30 Mar 2021 12:13:40
I can just see Fred and Mctominay threading them balls through to Kane.

4.) 30 Mar 2021 12:24:07
Kane has played with the following double pivots during his time at spurs:

Mason and Bentaleb
Dier and Dembele (Quality player)
Wanyama and Demebele (Quality player)
Winks and Sissoko
Hojberg and Sissoko.

Apart from Dembele who was a briliant footballer, the rest of the players on that list are average at best and if any of them played for us they would be criticised as much as MCFRED.

This hasn't stopped Kane from scoring a huge amount of goals.

5.) 30 Mar 2021 12:33:25
Getting Kane would be terrific, improves our spine. We'll get 5 years of guaranteed goals.
He has very good work rate, threat from set-pieces and some of his assists to Son this season are just class.

6.) 30 Mar 2021 13:36:37
Kane lifts us to the title in my opinion.

Despite having a human P&O Ferry and a Dacia centre back pairing our defensive record of late isn’t all that bad. I’d rather see Tuanzebe step up alongside the Fridge and sign Kane than sign a centre back and a right winger, for example.

A front three of Rashford, Kane and Greenwood would be mouth watering with Fernandes behind. If DVB can win favour then he could be in the double pivot with McTominay.

{Ed077's Note - so you are saying Ole doesn't have the right personnel to challenge for the title right now. And OGS can lead us to the league with Kane leading the latest line and Maguire captain?😜

7.) 30 Mar 2021 13:57:31
Haha touché! I do think that players can win leagues - I think RVP did that in many respects. With Kane in the side you’re guaranteed 25+ goals, Greenwood will only get better, Rashford is a top player and Fernandes is probably the best number 10 in the League if not Europe. It would be nice to see a ‘you score 3 we score 4’ attitude instead of this safety first dithering Boris Johnson style approach.

After all, football is about entertainment, right?

8.) 30 Mar 2021 14:51:05
If kane is available and you can get him- then you do it. He’s world class.

9.) 30 Mar 2021 15:30:21
Kane scores goals. He is one of the best. He would cost a pretty penny but the best always do.
His pl appearances are solid enough although he has suffered with his ankles a bit.
Would be improve us. Of course he would.
He doesn't rely on his pace and never did. Probably 2 or 3 more top seasons left in him.
I don't see it happening it would be a pleasant surprise if it did.
Im a little unsure if it is the best move but there are lots of worse moves we could make. I can't see levy allowing it to happen unless they need the money.
Big upgrade on our current options.
I'll support any move that sees us rid of martial.

10.) 30 Mar 2021 15:42:00
Top forwards wins you games. Top defenders wins you leagues.

11.) 30 Mar 2021 16:31:29
Kane is clearly a level above what we have currently. My concern would be can he stay fit enough to justify the cost. His transfer fee, agents fees and wages will be astronomical. We would be signing the best striker in the league, and arguably the best striker in the world atm. Its a glory signing though, our biggest issues this season have been in defence, spending all the money on a player at the other end of the pitch won't stop us dropping points because of poor defensive decisions and silly mistakes.

12.) 30 Mar 2021 18:25:02
Utd had poor defence last time finished 1st in the league.

13.) 30 Mar 2021 18:26:37
Anyone else think than Kane is rather Injury prone. I don't think he is as good as he was when he was 24. I actually think there are better players our there to sign than him.

14.) 30 Mar 2021 19:13:51
Hatter, on current form I think Lewandowski is the only striker as good or better than Kane at the moment. Especially when you look at his all round game.

I still wouldn't buy Kane though, mostly because he would cost upward of 100m and struggles to play 30 league games a season over the past two seasons. His ankles seem shot, while his knees are deteriorating. They won't get any better any time soon.

15.) 30 Mar 2021 14:59:01
Kenedyandy that's not what ed002 said on the city page. Not what he said at all. Unbelievable Geoff.

16.) 30 Mar 2021 19:40:19
I'd be happy with any 1st team regular starting 30 league games a season.

17.) 31 Mar 2021 00:30:08
Can’t believe people didn’t go and check the city site before believing this.

I would take Kane in a heartbeat.

18.) 31 Mar 2021 04:46:01
Ken, this is what Ed002 wrote about Harry Kane on city page, if its different to what have been posted on the top of the thread I apologise.

"Harry Kane (S) If the player decides he wants a step up in his career then Manchester United might be willing to meet any demands that Spurs have. As for Manchester City and Real Madrid, he would be a fallback position and not first choice"

19.) 31 Mar 2021 10:25:48
Andy,

So you have substituted the word ‘might’ for ‘would’ in your OP, makes a pretty huge difference.

20.) 31 Mar 2021 13:16:02
No point in Solksjaer buying Kane because he will just run him into the ground and then we really will see his injry problems.

Kane would be better playing under a manager who manages his playing time better.

Having said that I love the the prospect of Kane forming a partnership with Bruno.

21.) 31 Mar 2021 13:28:32
Might is the word to take into consideration andy as posted above. No need to apologise in my account👍.

22.) 31 Mar 2021 17:00:28
Someone has posted on the City site? Wow.

15 Aug 2020 19:22:53
Mohamed Ihattaren, another talented kid to watch (Ed002 has mentioned him on european page) left footed and looks fabulous. Him and Filip Stevanovic look like real deals.

Kenedyandy

1.) 16 Aug 2020 16:17:37
Have we signed both?

2.) 16 Aug 2020 17:16:47
Hopefully Stevanovic is done. Been nothing from the club yet.

{Ed002's Note - That is because it is not done.}

3.) 16 Aug 2020 18:08:37
Hopefully we get it wrapped up soon then Ed.

22 Mar 2020 16:17:38
I don't say Manutd are interested as the previous list provided by Ed 002 didn't include him as an option for the summer.

But Leon Bailey would be a decent option for Rw position, left footed, he can score gools, pace and still has time to improve.

Kenedyandy

01 Apr 2019 18:21:38
Talks of Herrera and Pogba leaving.

Anyone knows midfielders the club are interested with, to replace either of them if left?

Kenedyandy

22 Jun 2018 09:47:57
Hi, Ed002, you told us last summer about utd being interested on Willian (Chelsea player) . Is he still an option for this summer?, since there is constant rumours linking him with Utd.

Kenedyandy

{Ed002's Note - Yes.}

1.) 22 Jun 2018 10:11:05
Thanks Ed002.

2.) 22 Jun 2018 15:35:17

Filip looks ahead of Pellistri in some aspects but both have great potential, adding young quality players in all front for me sound good, and keep in mind not all of them will work out so adding many as possible depending on what is needed isn't bad. We lacked RWs options either from the academy or in the first team. So Adding 2 young players in Amad and Pellistri who looks more of AM long term was good move going forward. Elanga looks good for u23, provides options for LW.
