Ed002, if your around, is there any chance VDB could leave this month? Cannot understand how he is not getting more playing time.

{Ed002's Note - I cannot answer "any chance" questions but I have explained before that Donny van de Beek (CM) has been offered to Real Madrid and Juventus, and will be offered to Barcelona due to a lack of a plan or direction at MU. But both Spanish clubs have moved on and unless Manchester United would accept a long-term payment plan or loan to buy there would not be the spare money to buy him. If Pogba leaves there will be space in the team - but MU seem intent on holding him hostage. Juventus has a preferred CM target but might be open to a loan to buy deal. Inter may provide an option if he is to leave.}

1.) 07 Jan 2021 16:28:59
Will we look to bring in a replacement if Donny was to leave? Considering he very rarely gets gametime will the club see the need to go out and bring in another CM?

I hate to see players get shafted by clubs like we have done with Donny. Pogba wants to leave, Donny plays a similar position and has shown promise when given minutes. Surely its not hard to see a resolution for all parties involved. Move Pogba on and use Donny to replace Pogba.

2.) 07 Jan 2021 16:58:49
It’s all very frustrating and it seems far too obvious to move Pogba on and integrate Donny into the team.

When Donny and Bruno have played together we look more of a team, which is what we’ve all been crying out for.

The manager coaches are obviously more clued up than us fans but there are a few things going on at the club that it seems we can see but they can’t.

Be interesting to see what CMs we have at the club at the start of next season as Matic is past it, Pogba wants to go and seemingly Donny does too.

It will be another season of Fred and McTominay at this rate.

3.) 07 Jan 2021 17:45:28
Ed I’d love to be a hostage on £290,000 a week.

4.) 07 Jan 2021 21:40:34
What about taking 290,000 a week and playing for the club you want Blackpool? Its not like we do him any favour by paying him 290,000 a week. He can find a good salary in another team too.

5.) 08 Jan 2021 03:52:45
We have all been bashing the board for their transfer strategy and all and now when they bring in a skillful player like VDB and the manager doesn't have a plan and don't know how to use him. That's even more pathetic.

It will be criminal to let go of VDB when we have all been crying out for some quality in that midfield area for quite some time. If anything Ole should be the one to go if he can't realize or help fulfill the potential of a player like VDB.

Can't just get my head around why we would want to let go of a quality player like him especially in such a short time.

6.) 08 Jan 2021 07:24:52
We all know it should be a mf of Bruno and Donny with one of Fred, Matic or Scotty Mac in there but Ole is set on playing x2 dm usually so donny won't get a sniff of the 1st team, especially as Pogba is still lurking about. Feel for the guy, someone we should be building a team around, he may aswell have stayed at Ajax where his reputation would have grown but instead was fed a line by us and now is rotting away playing with the second string vs Watford today prob, nothing short of a disgrace imo how he's been treated.

7.) 08 Jan 2021 08:54:19
I woukdnt build a team around DVB, he is decent but not the great player people make out, he is not a certain starter fir Holland.
Harvetz is a far better player and struggling at Chelsea, epl can be hard work give the lad time.

8.) 08 Jan 2021 10:32:34

VdB hasn't been given ample game time. Other players who have flattered to decieve have got for more minutes. I rate Vdb, his vision, touch etc are superb. A run if games playing with Bruno woukd do him the World of good.

Really OGS should line up with a 433. You could play fred, Bruno and donny, with Rashford martial and Cavani. Then rotate Greenwood up top or on the wing.

9.) 08 Jan 2021 13:08:37
jred your defence of Ole is blind.

VDB has had all the top clubs sniffing around him. Juve, RM, Barca. But Ole doesn’t fancy him, he’s suddenly not a great player.

Havertz is better? You’re comparing apples and oranges.

VDB should be in the starting 11 with Bruno, and one holding midfielder. Unfortunately we don’t have a holding midfielder bar Matic who is too old now.
He’s the type of midfielder we’ve been crying out for. Someone who can dictate tempo and retain possession, something we are currently incapable of.

10.) 08 Jan 2021 14:35:04
Donny hasn't struggled when played unlike Havertz. Donny has been fairly solid and has earned the right to be given more minutes on the basis of his performances when given the chance. He hasn't looked like out of sorts at time like Havertz has. And Havertz has played a lot more minutes still for Chelsea.

And most of us want Donny to get more chances over Pogba who doesn't want to be here. I don't think its hard to understand.

11.) 08 Jan 2021 16:13:09
Deependra he has done ok.

I said before we signed him he was decent nothing more, I think people are massively overrating him.
He is a decent player who done well with ajax playing a very different style in a very different league .
The lads young big step give him time . I don't think he has set the world alight when he has played, I would guess the same may be true in training .
But like I said I haven't changed my mind I said all the above before we bought him
It reminds me of the kagawa or miki situation .
People going on and on about they havd to start etc etc .
But to be honest they never really convinced .

12.) 08 Jan 2021 16:40:41
Also its not just united he isn't a guaranteed starter for Holland.
Its not a great holland team they have won 3 of there last 9 games .
He has started 3 games and the lad is more settled in the Dutch squad that a united squad and thd epl .

I'm not saying he is a bad player, but he isn't a big name superstar and the epl is very different to the Dutch league .
Give the lad a chance we are not even half way through the season.

13.) 08 Jan 2021 17:25:01
We are dealing with Frank De Boer, when talking about The Dutch national team. I genuinely believe he is the worst coach/ manager currently employed in a semi decent job. FDB is cr@p coach and his judgement should hold less value than even mine and yours.

Also Donny used to be more favoured in the national setup before C.V. when he was playing week in week out for Ajax. Ronald Koeman wanted to take him to Barcelona when he left the Dutch national team for the Barcelona job. So surely Donny must have given a good enough account of himself in the national setup.

If you don't get what most of us are saying it's simple:
Give the lad a chance.

14.) 08 Jan 2021 17:50:38
Deependra I would agree with you on FDB .
Donny will get his chance imo but at the moment there are players ahead of him .

15.) 08 Jan 2021 19:46:12

He deserves a run in the team. OGS handling of thebokayer is shocking. You could argue that it has take years for Pogba to settle in.

16.) 08 Jan 2021 21:59:26
he is a better player than fred and mctom that's for sure.

17.) 08 Jan 2021 22:06:43
DVB is a cracker of a little player and I find it so strange that he can not get a start ahead of pogba who has been nothing short of abysmal. No wonder he has been offered about, I feel sorry for him.

Nothing about building a team around him, but surely he is worth more than how he has been treated since his arrival.

We can say he needs more time to settle bla bla but what Ole did the other night to him was extremely disrespectful.

18.) 08 Jan 2021 22:48:30
we just need a manager that knows what he is doing. who would of thought that jose would get to another final in his first season.

19.) 09 Jan 2021 02:08:18
Jred will berate Messi and Ronaldo if it came down to it just to defend Ole.

20.) 09 Jan 2021 09:45:58
ed001 who I trust says we should be looking to build around players like Donny, but no, Ole is defence minded, he is not the United way, no chance that Scotty and Fred or Pogba are better than Donny but he would rather x2 DM and that's why Donny doesn't play, that and the continual weird need to play a player who doesn't want to be here.

21.) 09 Jan 2021 09:55:32
Or he isn't as good as you all think?
Which is why he moved for a modest fee to united and no-one else snapped him up .

Decent player, done well for ajax in a very different system.
As I said above I remember a few of yous going on and on about kagawa and Miki with a very similar argument as above.
How did that work out?

22.) 09 Jan 2021 10:25:19
He will get a chance tonight imo, he needs a game and to make it hard for the manager to drop him for the next game.
If he plays well then great if not its no big deal, like I have the lad needs time to adapt .

23.) 09 Jan 2021 12:34:00
How much did Bruno cost jred? 100m or 200m? If price decided the quality of the player then Pogba would be the best midfielder in the world. Atleast make intelligent arguments to defend.

Is Ole your son in law jred that he can do no wrong?

24.) 09 Jan 2021 14:02:17
Does he not need a run of games? Like say martial? Or does he have to prove himself in 1 game having hardly played for months.

{Ed047's Note - one game end of! 😉

25.) 09 Jan 2021 14:34:09
Ken when we bought martial he also had to prove himself .
If how football works its different than when you play it on a computer.

26.) 09 Jan 2021 15:17:42

There is no point trying to argue with jred.
If you speak some undeniable facts he will stop responding and bring up something else to suit himself.

27.) 09 Jan 2021 15:37:40
Deeps i know but its fun trying😂😂.

28.) 09 Jan 2021 15:40:01
Jred I've never played football or any other computer game. Pet hate of mine comp games. I've honestly never played one.
Vdb has not yet been given the chance to prove himself would you accept that?

29.) 09 Jan 2021 15:45:04
Deeps that's been happening for years. I think he has self proclaimed himself as oles defence lawyer.
Jred seems to be a little touchy and prickly. Like even more than usual. Lockdown affects us all differently. I have reached out to him on another thread to see if he is feeling ok. But he might even turn down my kind enquiry into anther argument. No point in dwelling on it. 👍.

30.) 09 Jan 2021 16:05:50
You say above you have never played football and I can tell.
I'm not prickly thd site is hilarious, you are desperately trying to find a negative because you have been posting rubbish .

I told you before we signed DVB, he is decent but not the player your making him out to be .
He doesn't really fit in to the team (02) said the same .
That he would find the epl a step up and would need time to adapt from ajax style oc play .

You disagreed, as always but it looks like I was right 😂
Of course you can be wrong, eat a bit of humble pie.
You told me DVB would be a great addition, walk into the team etc . Sadly as slwsys whst you say hasn't actually happened? Maybe itd all ole fault or maybe your just wrong again .
Either way it's amusing.

31.) 09 Jan 2021 16:37:43
As you know I've played football jred. League of Ireland and several jnr intl caps.

I meant to say I've never played computer football games or any other comp games. Not my thing.

You also said martial would be world class. You also said Rooney could play in midfield. You also said ole would win more trophies than jose in his career as a manager. You also said shaw would be the best lb in Europe. My favourite was Smalling won't leave and januzzi will be top class. So to be fair you have a sketchy record yourself with predictions.

Im not posting rubbish i'm posting an opinion you don't like or agree with. Vdb has not been given the opportunity to prove himself yet. When he gets that opportunity i'm sure he will take it.

Ive been wrong about loads of things tell me someone who hasn't.

32.) 09 Jan 2021 16:38:19
I told you deeps. Mad as a box of frogs😂😂.

33.) 09 Jan 2021 16:47:06
Ken I don't mind mind making mistake .
I'm not sure about smalling not leaving? All players leave.
Jury is out on martial .
Shaw a goid player imo not the best in Europe tho.

Ken all you ever post is an opinion, don't listen or discuss an other side . Then move the goal post .
Lesgue of Ireland etc you also told me you where mates with pogba and worked for boca juniors and was it sporting Lisbon?

34.) 09 Jan 2021 17:15:36
I told you i was mates with pogba? Nonsense.

35.) 09 Jan 2021 17:16:49
Ive done consultancy work for dozens of football clubs jred.

36.) 09 Jan 2021 17:27:50
Ken, you should know when to stop 😂😂😂😂😂.

37.) 09 Jan 2021 17:35:58

38.) 09 Jan 2021 18:18:17
Ken you did, you said you where mates with pogba he loved Manchester and was a great a lad?
It was in a convo with with me an 01.
If you remember you denied it a while back so I posted it on here again.
You said it was at a time when you practically lived at the Carrington training ground .

39.) 09 Jan 2021 18:33:12
Ed002 has repeatedly said, since before we even signed Donny, that he would be a good replacement for Pogba, who he has on multiple occasions said should be sold because Paul doesn't want to be here any longer. I don't recall ed002 ever saying Donny doesn't fit into the team.

Also do you really think Donny hasn't earned the rights to get more game time on the back of his performances and still hasn't settled in England?

40.) 09 Jan 2021 18:53:56
02 said DVB wouldn't fit and grealish woukd be the better option.

41.) 12 Jan 2021 00:42:07
If donny leaves by the summer it will be a shocker on our part. Yes he needs a run of games, yes he needs time to settle and yes we need a more holding mid in order to fit him and Bruno in the team. But some excuses on here trying to put the young lad down are sad. Unfortunately I don’t see him being patient enough to get his path laid out when pogba leaves. Shame though. Tidy player. Still young and genuinely seems like he is or was sold by the ‘project’.

05 Feb 2020 11:18:50
Ed002, there is some reports in the newspaper this morning that MU are resigned to losing Pogba this summer, has the penny finally dropped and they will be willing to listen to reasonable offers?

{Ed002's Note - I cannot account for what the newspapers are saying or speculating about I am afraid. I have explained the situation as I know it.}

1.) 05 Feb 2020 11:48:31
No worries Ed, thanks for the reply.

2.) 05 Feb 2020 13:48:34
At this point he wouldn't be much of a loss. sell him and strenghten the midfield. Another CM (or 2 depending on the matic situation), RW added to bruno and we look a lot stronger in there.

3.) 05 Feb 2020 14:24:26
Surely by the summer with 1 year left on his deal plus the option of another, a club will meet uniteds asking price which should be lowered and come to an agreement.

4.) 05 Feb 2020 18:08:31
Dsg if we get the money we spent to buy him would be some achievement.

5.) 06 Feb 2020 11:17:22
We will have the usual clubs like Real Madrid and Juventus offering us 40 million plus two of there 30 year old plus players that don't even get a game for them anymore who don't want to leave anyway. I just hope that we tell them f**k off and at least get back the 90 million that we paid for him. If the likes of Maddison or Grealish are now valued at 60-80 million pounds, whether you like Pogba or not he is a better player then both of them therefore we should be getting top dollar for him. That's not to mention the amount of money he will generate off the field as well. I just hope United don't get there pants pulled down just because mardy arse Pogba and is agent are crying for the move. I can't wait to see the back of him and that agent.

6.) 06 Feb 2020 12:29:58
Simo, Pogba won't sell for more than 70m maximum. He hasn't lived up to expectation, wants out, has spent most of the season "injured" and will have a year left on his contract by the summer.

We might have to consider a player plus cash deal, but it needs to be a player we want. I would take a straight swap with Varane, or maybe Jovic plus some cash from Real Madrid, or cash plus one of Demiral or Bernardeschi from Juventus.

7.) 06 Feb 2020 13:34:25
Inter could be a sleeper for Pogba if they have the money. Previous with the manager I think.

8.) 06 Feb 2020 15:02:59
Maybe, but I doubt they do. They spent big in January, especially when you consider wages. With Brozovic, Brella, Sensi and Eriksen they have plenty of quality in midfield.

In the summer I can see them looking for a forward to be back up to Lukaku and Martinez or even a replacement for Martinez. While maybe a centre back might be sought with one eye on Godin getting older.

9.) 06 Feb 2020 19:12:39
I can see Pogba ending up at PSG. He’d fit in with the superstar status that Neymar and Mbappé have there. He would win titles and have CL football guaranteed every year. The owners will want a CL trophy soon and would probably pay the money.
It would be the perfect solution for all parties.

{Ed047's Note - where he can be a bigger dick than he currently is, if that is in fact humanly possible.

10.) 06 Feb 2020 20:16:55
Pretty much yeah.
It seems like Neymar does what he wants there and the owners indulge it.
I can see Pogba being the extra bit of quality they need to win the CL though.

11.) 06 Feb 2020 20:28:54
I may be wrong, he never gives his maximum in a game unless it suits him. We keep getting rubbish info he will do his best for United and he is injured again. The lad is really unlucky, hope he doesn't run down his contract and suffer a really bad injury the day before he leaves on a free. He had been too good a servant for that bad luck to happen.

12.) 07 Feb 2020 08:37:17
If Mmmbop goes to Real Madrid and Neymar goes to Barca, then can see Pogba going to PSG, as they’ll need the marque signing to replace leavers and they’ll also have the money.

13.) 11 Feb 2020 22:55:32
if they offer 30 mill bite there hand off because he is not worth that.

15 Aug 2019 11:27:30

Is there anything new regarding Sanchez leaving?

Much appreciated!

{Ed002's Note - Roma were told he wants to stay in Manchester and have moved on.}

1.) 15 Aug 2019 12:29:15
I'll imagine Sanchez will run his contract down.

2.) 15 Aug 2019 13:13:08
Thanks for the reply Ed.

Have a great day!

3.) 15 Aug 2019 16:13:43
Hatter that'll be the most effective running he manages in his time here.

4.) 15 Aug 2019 17:10:31

5.) 15 Aug 2019 19:20:05
Let’s see what happens. Hopefully OGS can get a tune out of him.

6.) 15 Aug 2019 21:33:30
Eric is Ole going to put a piano in the canteen?

7.) 16 Aug 2019 00:24:29
Let's give Sanchez a chance. He had a rubbish season last year but maybe I'd we get behind him he might turn things around. Let's be honest he was a really good player at Arsenal and most of us were delighted when he signed.

8.) 16 Aug 2019 07:09:19
Hrs had chances and he's only going to decline from here.

9.) 16 Aug 2019 07:24:01
Salford what has he done in a United shirt to warrant another chance?

Jesse is ahead of him and now arguably James and Greenwood too. James has already achieved 33% of what Sanchez has achieved. Difference is James did it in 20 minutes whereas Sanchez has had 18 months.

If he was serious about turning things around at United he should’ve pulled out of that international tournament to focus on his fitness and getting ready to claim his place in the team. But instead he came back injured and still isn’t match fit. You can’t keep giving chances to someone who isn’t willing to make it work for himself.

10.) 17 Aug 2019 19:54:42
At this stage, let Sanchez leave on a free looks like the best option for both parties, no?

11.) 17 Aug 2019 21:46:35
According to DiMarzio Inter have agreed terms with Sanchez but not yet with United.

12.) 18 Aug 2019 08:13:56
Widely reported that Inter are in the frame?

13.) 18 Aug 2019 14:34:32
@dev1l In Sanchez's case agreeing his salary is more difficult than agreeing deal with United.

14.) 18 Aug 2019 15:08:18
The proposed agreement apparently consists of a loan move for 1 year and option to buy next season set at 15m. While on loan, United will have to pay part of Sanchez salary.
Depends a lot on the amount.

15.) 18 Aug 2019 20:00:50
How about they take him for free now with no £15m to pay next year. We don't pay any more wages and throw Rojo and Darmian in for free. Everyones a winner.

16.) 19 Aug 2019 10:49:58
If we've got to pay some of his wages he should stay and knuckle down. Paying anything for a player to play for someone else is just a joke if you ask me.

17.) 19 Aug 2019 13:13:37
Why is that Damon? We gave Sanchez a massive contract.

It makes financial sense to subsidise some of the wages if the player moves, as the club he pays for is paying a portion of the wages and we are no longer left with the burden of 100% of his salary.

It also gets him away from the first team so we've not got a miserable player dragging others down.

18.) 19 Aug 2019 16:04:27
Exactly. If he's having rows with people in training that's going to affect the atmosphere. Its best he goes. Hopefully he impresses enough for them to take up the option.

19.) 19 Aug 2019 16:27:50
Well if a player isn't playing for our club and for another team they should be paying his wages. Just shows how bad the club is run to pay ridiculous wages in the first place. hasn't Sanchez had his wages cut by 25% like everybody else? It does seem now though this summer we've taken a different approach and walked away from stupid deals.

20.) 20 Aug 2019 12:13:05
It's not as simple as that Damon. Sanchez has every right to see out the remaining years of his contract on full pay. If we can offload him, and negotiate a deal which costs the club less in the long term, that surely makes more sense than keeping a player on full salary who has no impact on the team.

20 Feb 2019 10:44:43
Hi Ed002

I have had another listen to the Sharkopod and there is noting mentioned about a RB for MU, are MU looking at any RB or is the plan to use Dalot more next season with Ashley Young?

{Ed002's Note - I agree that they will likely need a RB with a good chance Darmian and Valencia will be moving on. I am not aware of their declaring any interest in anyone at this time.}

1.) 20 Feb 2019 11:06:43
Thank for the reply.

{Ed002's Note - You are welcome.}

2.) 20 Feb 2019 14:34:51
There’s a real shortage of quality fullbacks in world football these days. I’d be hard pushed to name a player I’d want to come in, maybe Meunier would be the best and most realistic option.

3.) 20 Feb 2019 15:06:44
Joshua Kimmich not a bad player!

4.) 20 Feb 2019 17:48:58
Wan Bissaka? kept TFM out of the Palace team last year.

5.) 20 Feb 2019 20:00:38
The very same TFM that can’t get a game For Fulham.

6.) 21 Feb 2019 20:48:34
Agree with Kimmich, he looks a great player good going forward and defending.

7.) 23 Feb 2019 05:30:55
Wolves' Doherty looks a really quality RB.

14 Feb 2019 11:31:44
Hi Ed's

I was just wondering if there is anything new on the futures of DDG Pogba and Sanchez?

Many thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Juventus remain interested in Pogba. If Sanchez were to leave it would need MU to pay most of his wages for a while. Right now it looks like DDG will stay at leaset another year but the two options are PSG and possibly Juventus. The PSG option will continue if Buffon takes up the one year option.}

1.) 14 Feb 2019 12:47:23
Thanks Ed.

{Ed002's Note - You are welcome.}

2.) 14 Feb 2019 17:14:30
Sanchez really has to go, but not if it means us paying his wage. I’d hope a Chinese club starts to circle.

3.) 15 Feb 2019 13:19:54
What does it matter if we pay part of his wage?

4.) 15 Feb 2019 17:06:48
It means that he isn’t off the books and the money isn’t free to use elsewhere. Why would you pay for a player to not be in your squad?

5.) 15 Feb 2019 21:42:36
Simple fresh he has a contract. We are in to him for 50m plus. He won't walk away without being paid off or without getting the same or the likes of that money from his new club.
With his form so bad its high investment and we are paying miles over the top.
Its the issue we face and the reason we can't shift squad players.

6.) 16 Feb 2019 09:28:34
I'm confused as to how how might know that fresh.

Ed002, is there any update on Pogba leaving this summer/ new contract or does it look like he will run his contract down and leave for free next summer? many thanks.

{Ed002's Note - RTP.}

09 Mar 2017 13:22:54
Hi Ed's

Are MU still trying to recruit a director of football?

Many thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Yes.}

1.) 09 Mar 2017 20:15:10
Are you aware of how that search is going? I know we had an issue trying to get the guy who was first choice. Have any other options become available? Cheers.

{Ed002's Note - Not well.}

2.) 09 Mar 2017 21:04:15
Ed can you shed any light on who the possible candidates are and have we been in any sort of negotiations with any preferred target?

{Ed002's Note - It has not worked and the club need to rethink.}

3.) 10 Mar 2017 02:52:06
Heard it was Berta from Atletico we went for, heard rumors of Monchi from Sevilla was highly regarded aswell

Really intrigued on if Mourinho would be interested having one at the club as Mourinho likes to be more hands on regarding the management of a club.

{Ed002's Note - No it was neither of those.}

4.) 10 Mar 2017 12:02:33
Thanks for the information ed002

Something I wanna ask fellow fans, don't know your thoughts on us having one, I'm pretty wary of us ever having one as Mourinho is here, he likes to have control on all football aspects, he hasn't had good relations with the previous 2 clubs directors he had to work with Emenalo and Valdano

Just wondering Ed002 how is the restructing going regarding our scouting system, they overhauled it towards the end of 2016.

{Ed002's Note - There have been lots of changes to the scouting system at Manchester United and they will continue to change as they see fit - but for now it seems settled.}

5.) 10 Mar 2017 12:23:40
Thanks Ed002, have a nice day.

Shane, I'm all for us having a sporting director. We didn't need one under Sir Alex but since then what has been the sporting vision for our club?

Ed Woodward is great at the commercial aspect of the club but we have had three managers in four years each very different with very different views on how football should be played. If we are to have a level of continuity we need a stable long term sporting vision for the club, that way we can shape the squad for the long term rather than having to completely change the playing staff every few years to suit the new manager.

Jose has already sold two players LvG paid 60m for. We can't keep doing that everytime we changed the manager.

7.) 10 Mar 2017 16:42:15
Fair points Shappy

Very reasonable answer and from your explanation I could understand why we should have one

I just feel Mourinho likes to do the majority of what a Director of Football would do, maybe it something we could re-visit when Mourinho leaves in the future.

8.) 10 Mar 2017 17:13:55
Shane, I think Mourinho will accept anything that makes his job easier. If having a man who can get the players in he wants when he wants is the outcome of having a DoF then he will happily accept I'm guessing.

9.) 10 Mar 2017 19:55:01
Ed Woodward already does that lol

A Director of Football isn't just about buying and selling players, he usually the "go between" of the board of directors and the manager

Personally Mourinho likes to be the manager that controls all the aspect of the Football side of a club, that's why he has had issues with his last 2 clubs, definitely at Real Madrid. Everyone knows how political the club is ran where the manager might only have a say in buying players, the majority of the time he not the one buying the players, it's usually Perez calling the shots

If United can find a person who is willing to carry Mourinho instructions out and make life easier for him then it could work but that's not a job description for a Director of Football, he basically being Mourinho Personal Assistant.

10.) 10 Mar 2017 20:08:49
Shane, name me a club Mourinho hasn't had a DoF at? As you say he has had issues with the guys at Chelsea and Real Madrid, but he also had to deal with a DoF at Porto and Inter.

United is the first and only club he has been at not to have one. I'm sure he'd adapt to what he has lived with for close to 15 years. Lol.

11.) 10 Mar 2017 22:33:12
He hasn't I don't think, I'm not sure but I think Luis Figo may of been the DOF at Inter at that time, I be brutally honest the Porto one no idea.

If it can work I be happy with it, I just think Mourinho likes to go his business his way.

Ed in your humble opinion, do you think it will need a change in ownership for it to change?

{Ed002's Note - No.}

Ed002, if you don't mind, what does the hierarchy at MU think of Ole's season/ performances?

{Ed002's Note - They have reached a European final and come second in the league so have done better than just about all other English sides. The club board will not be looking to make a change right now.}

Great read Ed. what do you think will end up happening with Icardi?

{Ed001's Note - he will probably end up signing a new deal. Who else would want to take him and his nutjob wife on?}
