So the Premier League have come out and admitted to another VAR mistake made against us.
The goal 'scored' by Licha against Burnley was valid and therefore, obviously, should of stood. I could of told them that 10 seconds after the goal was scored!
If we had not been robbed of those 2 points then we would be in 4th position in the League now, a Champions League qualification position. If the end of the season comes and we miss qualification for ECL by a 2pt margin then there will be some righteous anger and annoyance.
{Ed025's Note - you are not the only ones IWOTB, it has happened to a lot of clubs mate, Everton have had 2 apologies this season and last season Wolves had at least 5, VAR is embarrassing and should be kicked into touch, the officials are using it as a crutch so they dont have to concentrate..
21 Jan 2026 19:45:34
Ed25
I still think they should look at the details of the third goal by Mount in the derby that was disallowed. The graphic looked like Cunha was further forward than in the still photo. Did the frame of the photo exactly match the graphic? I have real doubts and that would cast doubt on the validity of the decision. It just didn’t look right.
{Ed025's Note - im with you Red Man, i have lost all faith in the system mate and would not trust them to make a jelly..
21 Jan 2026 20:04:27
That's as maybe Ed, but the fact remains that whilst very annoying for all parties concerned, there is clearly a degree of consequence for these errors. If it result's in the loss of a Champions League place over, say, finishing 13th in the league rather than 11th or 12th there is clearly justification for greater anger and annoyance. What would the financial consequences between those 2 examples be, many, many millions!
Not having a pop or such like Ed, Just think the consequences of essentially the same mistake can have significantly differing outcomes.
{Ed025's Note - it can for every team IWOTB, teams can be relegated and leagues lost on wrong decisions mate, some will obviously become more important than others but i suppose every team has its own agenda..
21 Jan 2026 22:00:00
6 more points for those 2 apologies amd Everton would be in a cl place too.
I never look to blame on pitch refs and I don't think I ever have.
They make mistakes and have done since the game began. Players make their jobs impossible with their constant cheating.
Then they have to put up with energy decision analysed from views and speeds they don't have or see its bloody ridiculous.
But now the refs on the pitch are not in charge its a joke.
Wat hi guys challenges and fouls in slow motion and freeze framing a millisecond moment in time is just nonsense.
Having too many laws that are not black and white leads to interpretation and huge inconsistency.
Var should be only be used on request by coaches twice per half, they did this in the world youth Cup and it worked very well.
My view is leave the ref in charge on the pitch and if a coach feels there is an ott challenge that's been missed he can have it checked.
22 Jan 2026 06:59:16
TW
Bit like Cricket, maybe if the challenge proves correct then they keep it. I would also limit the review to 1 min, if it isn’t proven in that time it isn’t clear and obvious.
22 Jan 2026 09:16:13
Agree redman. 2 looks in real time amd move on.
22 Jan 2026 10:36:05
Agree wholeheartedly. Will help the game flow better and all the players and coaches moaning during the game can now be countered with, use your appeal, if you genuinely believe the decision is wrong.
22 Jan 2026 12:03:07
The problem you have with coaches requesting the use of VAR is time. They will want to review the incident before requesting and by this time the game would have restarted. Or you are pausing for every little incident for a potential review. The game would be really bitty. If you allow players to request it then you have the issue of players requesting everything BUT player request maybe better as they are up close to the incident. And if they know it is subject to two reviews then that would restrict them.
For example the Martinez penalty incident, if he was adamant then he tells the captain instantly who requests. Coaches probably couldn't see the incident clearly so then they'd review on IPAD and this is all time. Who's job is it to bring it to the attention of the Coach?
I'd also be concerned about coaches using it to stop the flow of the game, Eddie Howe for example. He got the GK to go down so he could get some instructions to the players.
However, I do agree it needs a better system if it is here to stay which I'd be happy if it wasn't.
22 Jan 2026 12:30:49
Watch how it worked at the youth world cup so you can understand it.
Look at what happened before coming up with a bunch of things that have already been addressed.
22 Jan 2026 12:43:04
Great idea Ken.
Not sure if it would work but definitely better than the nonsense we have now. VAR saps the fun out of football. You can't celebrate a goal any more, totally detrimental in my opinion.
Also agree if players weren't cheating all the time probably wouldn't have been introduced in its current guise.
22 Jan 2026 13:11:50
Didn't know they used it at the youth world cup so just looked it up, perhaps your point of it at the youth world cup would have been better delivered had you given the full picture of how it was used or perhaps you didn't understand how it was used?!
So the referee first identified a situation that could be reviewed and then the coaches have a limited time to decide whether to review it or not. This would work for incidents where the game is stopped, Goal scored, red card, penalty awarded. But it's not going to work for incidents like penalty claims that referees miss or don't think were.
22 Jan 2026 13:49:03
Ports there is the Internet to look up I'm not here to explain or interpret things for you.
If you had read the post you would have seen where I said it was adapted at youth wc. let's not look for a load of hypothetical negatives when a trial has been completed and worked very well and was well received by players coaches and refs.
Read up on it if you like and give everybody's and executive summary.
22 Jan 2026 14:28:03
Just scrap var. everyone hates it. Fans hate it players hate it clubs hate it yet fifa want it. personally its only in for tv to add drama, but even tv hate it now, so why have it. It's ruined the game so why onbearth football still has var.
{Ed025's Note - im with you Nick..
22 Jan 2026 14:52:11
I did use the internet to look it up and have given everyone a summary of how it was used. It’s in the post you replied too.
22 Jan 2026 16:32:42
I was watching the derby in a bar in Alicante.
2nd goal, I didn't know whether to celebrate or not.
I hate VAR for taking away that spontaneous feeling of utter joy when a goal goes in.
22 Jan 2026 17:23:16
I don’t blame VAR. I blame refs for using it as a cop out for making difficult decisions.
The offside rules are a farce. The refs should be making common sense decisions based on the facts (VAR) and the spirit of the game (was the forward so blatantly offside that it gave them an unfair advantage over defenders) .
The problem is that refs are too cowardly to take responsibility, and want the technology to make decisions for them.
{Ed025's Note - absolutely Danny..
23 Jan 2026 00:46:27
It would make sense to have a review system for yellow cards and red cards, and possibly offsides, though hopefully technology will soon be good enough that it will be completely automatic like in tennis where they don't even use line judges in the major tournaments any more. That way there will be no more mistakes by the assistant referee and no more mistakes caused by the VAR referee using the current technology incorrectly.
With regards to yellow cards and red cards, model it on cricket. Two reviews per match, it must be the captain that asks the referee for the review, and there is a timer that starts as soon as the referee has made their initial decision.
Ideally another timer that starts as soon as the referee has started to review the incident on the monitor, for example 1 minute, since if they can't decide whether or not they've made an error in 1 minute looking at replays, then they've probably not made an error, certainly not a clear one, so get on with the game.
Only issue with reviews in cricket is that sometimes the third umpire spends 5 minutes on a single review and there is already a significant issue with over rates in test cricket, and I would hate to see football start taking forever over every decision.
21 Jan 2026 17:02:16
What a difference a game makes! From being a player I would think many would have liked to have been sold or maybe still would, now back in his best position at the tip of a midfield three, Bruno suddenly seems a very important player again.
Maybe people would still prefer to see him go. Maybe others think he is still by far our most creative player.
Personally now that midfield experiment is over I'd keep him.
But for a bit of fun. thinking ahead to summer, what likely players are there who maybe don't match those stats just yet, but could be a decent replacement? Do we have them already (Mount? Cunha? ), or is there an immediate name elsewhere jumps out?
21 Jan 2026 17:59:47
Mount? Haha, nowhere near good enough!
21 Jan 2026 18:48:30
Mount should never have been bought!
I say, if he wants to stay he has earned the right to stay and if he wants to go, we let him go.
I would have said someone like Wirtz but he has not really set the EPL alight, yet and is now probably unattainable.
There was some talk of Yildiz of Juve, but I see him more of the left hand side cutting in type.
There are two that stand out (guler of Real and musiala of Bayern, I probably prefer the latter)
Outside of that, Doue of PSG has always impressed me as has Paz of Como. j
Here is also an option. in understand both Amorim and Carrick have tested Lacey in the 10 position in training, we have a lot of wide players for Lacey to compete against, perhaps he is destined for a more central position.
Eds, any news on any of the names mentioned above.
{Ed025's Note - you really seem to be wanting to shop at Harrods Jimbo, i believe some of them names especially the likes of Doue would be very hard for you to obtain mate and you may have to temper your expectations, your budget may get you one of those but maybe 2 or 3 mid range players with potential may be the way to go at this stage, just my opinion though..
21 Jan 2026 19:06:02
That's fair Ed, I do wonder though if we achieve UCL if it changes the landscape a degree.
I do like Lacey as an option there though and would be interested to see him come on for Bruno in the closing stages of a game or two this season.
I'm not for buying our way to success, but we are, as you know, in need of a decent churn of players. Frankly though, Bruno isn't one of them, unless he chooses to depart.
{Ed025's Note - i think it would change the landscape Jimbo, you would attract the better players and would have an improved budget mate..
21 Jan 2026 19:36:36
Don't understand the Mount hate. English, PL proven, and has shown he can play well with a decent run of games. He just needs to stay fit.
Good squad player if you ask me, not on the same level as Bruno, granted, but not many are. Providing he can stay fit, I don't see why he can't stay in the squad. He was the most creative player at Chelsea and had the highest output of any of their players. He had a bad run of injuries, but the talent is still there. Only 27, so even one good season to return to his best and you could get a good few years out of him.
22 Jan 2026 11:05:24
Also read somewhere that Cole Palmer would be interested in a move. I imagine just nonsense and can't think why Chelsea would sell but he'd slot right into a Bruno void wouldn't he?
22 Jan 2026 14:59:12
if we shore up our midfield with a couple of signings and get a settled back 4, we are not that far off. cunha, mbeuno are very good players. need an additional striker in the summer in my opinion.
22 Jan 2026 16:58:25
We need a couple of high quality full back also. Shaw is unreliable and dalot is useless.
Cmx2 and striker completely agree. If we keep our European slot and hoping its cl then we will have a better budget i'm sure.
22 Jan 2026 17:12:18
We still need a CB too and 100% an experienced striker along with a midfielder and full backs oh wait is this not de’ja vue did we not need that last season and the season before … oh yes we did and bought nearly them all of them and the problem is none of them are good enough!
22 Jan 2026 17:40:59
Thats the problem Kurtis, he can't stay fit and never will. Plus he is on silly wages for someone who rarely plays. He should be sold in the summer if he is still fit, but I suspect Shaw has taught him how to remain a UTD player by being injured during the windows.
21 Jan 2026 13:41:41
More refereeing notes from the weekend:
Bernardo Silva hacking Bruno down from behind off the ball in the penalty area completely missed by the refs.
Howard Webb agreeing with the yellow card on Dalot. Got a touch on the ball, no intent, and in real time it was a glancing blow. Refs have been criticized in the past for looking at things in slow motion, giving a false picture of what happened on the field. Had the original decision been a red then he would have agreed that it should not have been overturned.
{Ed001's Note - that Silva challenge is a blatant red.}
21 Jan 2026 15:18:48
Yes that didn't make sense at the time, commentary team just said its been checked and cleared by VAR, yet didn't even show a single replay.
Was nice see Maguire man handle the **** at the start when he tried pushing him.
21 Jan 2026 16:54:13
Also a panel has said Martinez goal should stood against Burnley.
21 Jan 2026 18:07:06
Scholes I actually laughed out loud watching live when the little runt was put firmly in his place by Maguire. He seemed to square up to Harry, then realised he was seriously outsized, no team mates nearby and pooped himself. Funny af ?.
21 Jan 2026 13:21:03
Any chance of the weekend match review ed001?
{Ed001's Note - yes mate, I am doing it now. Sorry been a busy few days sorting out stuff and going to footie here. I probably won't be able to do next weekend's though, as I am going to Qatar to watch Al-Sadd v my local team here in the Asian Champions League. They did a really cheap deal and Al-Sadd have Bobby Firmino playing for them, so I couldn't not jump on it! I love Bobby as a player so much.}
21 Jan 2026 15:17:24
Amazing ed, only asking since we destroyed city, really upset we didn't score more.
Hope you enjoy the game, top player i must say. Will probably be about 10 steps ahead of his team mates though?.
{Ed001's Note - be great, travelling with the team as well, and get a free team shirt, hotel with brekkie included, all for less than 150 quid! I got the very last place, so well happy. Though I am going to have to remember not to start singing the Firmino song during the game!}
21 Jan 2026 16:29:20
Sounds like a really good fan experience, not like over here when the players walk past and act like you don't exist.
Do you live in Qatar atm or still in UAE?
{Ed001's Note - still in Dubai mate. To be fair the team here has a Klopp-like manager in Paulo Sousa, so they have to consider the fans, he wouldn't let them do otherwise. To be fair, most of the other lads watching probably have more money than the players, this is Dubai and it is locals that support the team....}
22 Jan 2026 18:25:06
Well i hope you enjoy it; got to make the most of your younger years ?.
{Ed001's Note - yeah, luckily I am still young.}
21 Jan 2026 07:39:06
{Ed's Note - MK Scouser has posted a new article entitled, Liverpool's Pre-Season Concerns Overblown Despite World Cup Disruption
20 Jan 2026 19:37:10
Tonight’s City result in Norway kind of puts last Sundays result into a bit of perspective.
20 Jan 2026 20:20:42
I don’t much care. I’ve just watched the replay v Citeh on MOTD twice this evening and loved it. If we are a part of knocking their season then so be it. I don’t see the ‘perspective’ you refer to. It’s about us, not them.
20 Jan 2026 20:34:54
It puts it into perspective in that as much as we played well at the weekend, City are in a poor place at the moment so the Arsenal game will tell us a lot more.
20 Jan 2026 21:31:06
Emit the win for what it was. We played great and can look forward to the weekend.
We might come down with a bump or we might ride the wave. If we than get the 1st goal then it gives us a real chance to rattle them and they don't like that.
They are a better team than us right now but that can be turned on its head over any 90 mins.
Let's hope we can ride the wave get a bit of luck and the big players have a good day and everybody else is at their best.
We have been making chances in every game this season and with 4 at the back and the wide players tracking back i think we will let in less.
21 Jan 2026 01:41:45
With the exception of Donnaruma (who produced several world class saves and a masterclass in ball distribution), City were poor last weekend, but that should take nothing away from our performance. We were every bit as good as they were bad, and would beat nine out of ten teams we come up against if we played that way every week.
21 Jan 2026 06:31:20
We scarred them, would've been an easy win last night if we hadn't beaten them ;)
21 Jan 2026 09:19:32
As I said further down the page, this country thrives of negativity. People can't just enjoy a great result and performance.
21 Jan 2026 15:35:46
Why does it even matter, we won let’s move on, it’s all pie in the sky if this if that. we won end of.
21 Jan 2026 18:11:09
Maze you normally talk a spectacular version of bolloxology but, I reckon that might be the first reasonable post I’ve seen from you.
20 Jan 2026 17:52:25
One of the things that struck me as different about City was our first goal. Cherki took the free kick and when the ball came out to Mbuemo he failed to do what all Pep teams do in that circumstance, and that's commit a foul to stop the play. City have thrived off doing just that, enabling them to commit extra players in attack, happily giving up the odd yellow card.
Indeed, if the foul is committed early enough before the opposition fully emerging from defense has had a chance to get going, they don't even get a yellow.
20 Jan 2026 19:20:31
Pep famous for tgat tactic, foul around halfway lines, to stop the fast break, usually get away with it, Rodri is a master at it.
20 Jan 2026 20:41:31
Well, well, well newname, I watched the 20 min highlights package on the club's website earlier and noticed the exact same thing and thought I would post about it later! Great minds eh.
First of all the free kick given in favour of Haaland was ridiculous, was never a foul. Cherki then took the free kick which he played straight ahead of him this was met by Harry and he headed the ball straight back towards Cherki. Mbeumo had moved into the space in front of Cherki and as soon as the ball reached him, instead of attempting to control it he immediately flicked the ball round the side of himself to Bruno.
Now given Bryan did not try and retain the ball Cherki had no opportunity to foul him and given his newness to City he may not be fully immersed in their practice of the dark acts yet.
I have no doubt whatsoever had someone like Rodri been where Cherki was, then Bryan would of been fouled and the move stopped and subsequently we would not of scored that fantastic goal.
Given the risk and reward of these constant ''Pep'' fouls should the Premier League not be looking at greater punishments for them. (YES they should)
Just had a look at tonight's scores, Oh dear, how sad, well never mind! City have lost 1-3 at Bodo/Glimt and Rodri was sent off. They are not having a good week are they!
21 Jan 2026 00:00:33
Rodri sent off for 2 of the Pep fouls we talk about above, ones he gets away with every week in the premier league but the European ref wasn’t having it. Bernardo did 4 against Newcastle last week and only got a yellow after the last one.
Pep will be into Cherki about it and he will never let a player go like Mbeumo did without bringing him down again.
21 Jan 2026 05:23:28
Arsenal do the exact same thing with risk and reward fouls. It’s nothing new Jose done it all the time at Chelsea it’s nothing new, but the FA punishing them for it, is a bit silly, the game is getting bad enough already without more rules and regs to be interpreted differently by different refs each game, if it goes wrong as did for them on Saturday that’s the punishment.
21 Jan 2026 09:11:25
The card system is wrong.
A 'delibeeate/cheating /tactical foul' no matter where it is on the pitch should be an automatic 15 min sin bin. The punishment must be more appropriate to the crime.
#stop the cheaters.
I was watching a cl last night and saw lots of the same type of fouls.
It does bring the game into disrepute.
Do it in rugby and prevent a try the ref will just award the try anyway after a verbal warning.
Its not ok to do it its not 'part of the game' and its need to be addressed.
21 Jan 2026 17:02:00
Bernardo Silva (although a great player) is one of the dirtiest players in the PL. The amount of times he loses his head sliding in and getting away with it is ridiculous especially later in games when City aren't winning.
Macallister also is similar and they both roll around after as if injured themselves getting leniency.
20 Jan 2026 12:18:24
With talk of a new midfielder, has anyone seen much of Hackney or Neves recently and do they have the same quality and more importantly, form as the other players linked with us- Baleba, Wharton, Anderson all of whom aren't cooking on gas at the minute or at least in teams that arent. Who would be your two out of the five I've named?
20 Jan 2026 12:46:44
Anderson and baleba or Anderson and neves.
Depends on price too I wouldn't be paying 80m for baleba but he is a good player.
Know nothing about Hackney i'm not a big fan of wharton but I've not looked at him too much.
French player at roma would be my choice outside of the five you mentioned.
20 Jan 2026 13:12:30
Great reply Ken, what about Ederson the noise has died down on that.
20 Jan 2026 13:55:40
I would say Baleba is a top player Ken. I saw him yesterday against Bornmouth and he was maybe back to his best.
20 Jan 2026 14:15:37
I think there are a number of excellent candidates out there. I posted further down that I think Mainoo will have a big say in the direction we go. If he nails down a starting role from now on and plays well we need a player to compliment him.
Profile wise Anderson and Baleba would be my choice. Agree though on fee for Baleba and Anderson will get the British Tax added to his fee. Alex Scott at Bournemouth is worth keeping an eye on IMO also.
20 Jan 2026 14:44:33
Elliot Anderson and Mainoo starters, Casemiro and Ruben Neves/Joao Gomes as back ups.
Tbh i would be happy if we just signed an actual central midfielder.
The last time the team seemed to be ready to kick on under ETH and desperately needed to signing a central midfield player we ended up signing Mason Mount which was a huge misprofiling of the position.
20 Jan 2026 14:45:07
A lot will depend on whether Carrick and the players can keep us in the European places.
Its going to be a crazy summer market for both coaches and players having cl football would make the world of difference.
El not the rand of the world but he needs to keep us in the European places. I'm sure he can. He will need a bit of luck and for the players to deliver the best they can do.
20 Jan 2026 15:24:34
Whilst I would love to see us buy 2/3 new midfielders I think the club will be hoping to see what sort of player Mainoo can be over these next 16 games. If that is a starter/what position etc. Ideally he would lock down one of the holding midfield positions alongside Casimero to then be seen as the future for us there.
If that is the case then I would expect the club to bring in a complimentary player in the summer (previously discussed was Baleba being that person) .
If that was the case I could see us selling Ugarte, giving Casimero a year extension and share match time with Baleba. Is there someone in the youth set up that could be Mainoo replacemnt (Kone? ) or look at bringing in a second midfielder at maybe a cheaper price.
20 Jan 2026 16:56:43
On ederson I can only assume that there is a underlying reason why nobody has signed him because on the pitch he looks very good.
20 Jan 2026 18:06:43
I think we need 3 of the 5 you mentioned, assuming Ugarte is going to at the end of the season and Casemiro moves on (more so for salary reduction) .
I've watched as many games of Anderson, Wharton and Baleba as possible this year, with a bit more focus on the first two as Baleba fell off a cliff first part of the year. With the note above that he is back to his best I'll make a point of watching again. I did look at the teamsheet for Bournemouth game and noted he was again on the bench.
Back to Anderson and Wharton. I think both would transform our team, especially if we are playing 3 mids (including the 10 role occupied by Bruno, assuming he stays) .
Couple of cons, Anderson seems a bit slower, so not quite your box to box type mid, but he is by far the stand out player in that forest team.
Wharton seems to hold onto the ball a little too long at time, but perhaps he lacks options this year in the palace team, last year he was better at releasing the ball.
For me in order of preference right now, but it does change
Wharton, Anderson, Baleba
I wouldn't get Neves if we couldn't be bothered to drop 15m on him for the previous manager when we were screaming out for him, don't penny pinch for the new guy.
Hackney is getting a lot of praise but I haven't seen him so can't include in assessment.
21 Jan 2026 17:03:57
My son watched Baleba a couple of weeks ago against Villa and said Baleba was the best player on the pitch. Didn't realise how good he actually is, how much ground he covers and skill too.
22 Jan 2026 12:04:29
He is a very good player.
20 Jan 2026 08:49:33
I love our ex players, but honestly can they just button it for a bit. All this constant negativity and biting against the current players isn’t helping. Obviously they have the right to an opinion but all this is doing is creating clickbait for the media.
Anything anti United will get blown out of proportion by certain outlets and tv so giving them extra fuel is silly. Am I being too harsh?
20 Jan 2026 11:17:46
Sadly Tim, IMO, Manchester United being poor suits the ex-players because the club’s struggles gives constant fuel to their outspoken punditry, validating their criticisms and keeping their opinions relevant and in the spotlight. Britain has a culture of thriving off of negative media.
Yesterday on Sky News, the main focus from the game was Dalot's challenge on Doku rather than acknowledging a great performance.
{Ed025's Note - im with you Ports..
20 Jan 2026 12:17:51
And that prxccckk Scholes and Butt have nothing better to do then talk trashhhh. Just because he was a good player it doesn't mean the guy can talk trash and Butt is worse then him in spoutin trash. If they were really big supporters or fans of the club thenthey should shut up and not talk trash as it does impact players now a days. Back in their days there weren't any social media and stuff and now is different.
Anyways they only go on their channel and say stuff to make money and be more popular.
Sad leeches the pair of them.
20 Jan 2026 12:34:13
Tim just out of curiosity.
Do you think there is more negativity on these pages about players coaches and owners than spoken about on sky?
Id say its much more negative on here every day and the irony of people giving out about pundits negativity when they are worse themselves should not be lost on any of us.
20 Jan 2026 15:06:07
Have to agree with Ken. 24 hour news, 24 hour radio, infinite number of podcasts, opinion pieces galore. This isn't anything new and everyone involved is just trying to secure a bag.
Having a neutral opinion won't get these lads in the news. Its the same principal about online discussions. Nobody is taking the time to post about something they don't feel strongly about, so you're left with people posting polar opposite opinions with the neutral stance being extinct.
As for the class of 92, their views are no worse than the man/woman in the street, they just have a platform. Negativity sells but you don't have to buy it. Plenty of media to consume if you're not happy with someone's point of view.
Also worth pointing out. Footballers are genuinely as thick as pig you know what. I wouldn't put credence into what they say.
20 Jan 2026 15:34:43
The difference being that posters on here, whether you agree or not are giving an opinion in a private space not doing it to create clicks, garner views etc. nor is anyone doing it to settle scores or because they have an axe to grind. Maybe some of our ex players don’t, but it comes across that way quite a bit. Just my opinion.
20 Jan 2026 16:32:25
It doesn't matter where they say it, if your doing and saying the same things or similar.
. (not you in particular Tim) but the posters in general
Read daily here most people have nothing good to say about anything most of the time and the irony is that' despite them being very opinionated most of the opinions are come to work zero practical knowledge or experience to draw from.
Just because you watch a load of movies all your life doesn't mean you know how to direct one. But you get people on here every day telling you how to pick a team or run a company having never done it.
If you want negativity read here you don't have to turn on sky.
Also why moan about them. Just Don't read or watch them. Problem solved and then you'll have one less thing to moan about. ?.
