So thinking ahead to January window, who do you think we'll see from an ins and outs perspective?

I think we may see Zirkzee loaned/ sold. I can't see us allowing Mainoo to leave on loan unless we bring in midfield reinforcements.

22 Oct 2025 16:42:25
No idea Eric. We need to get lucky. So if we can get a whaton or baleba it will depend on where they are in the league and what they have to pay for.
Outs zirkzee ugarte mainoo are the 3 obvious candidates but much can change between now and then.

We lose mbeumo and amad for afcon so we are light for sure.
Well just have to wait and see what happens.
Much will depend also on if we are competing for a cl or el place.

22 Oct 2025 17:24:29
I think Conor Gallagher makes sense on a loan with option.

22 Oct 2025 18:44:59
Mbeumbo and amad are a big loss and so is mazraoui that leave dalot on as the only right wing back option.

22 Oct 2025 18:52:07
Doubt we see big key signing.

Possibly a Gallagher or someone like that on loan deal.

Possibly a young player for future who is available and we want to get due to circumstance.

22 Oct 2025 19:04:57
Connor Gallagher is a great shout.
Wharton, Anderson or Baleba would be great, back for one of the remaining in the summer.

22 Oct 2025 19:51:36
Wow I said Connor Gallagher was a good shout in summer to be told he was rubbish, now he is a great shout.

22 Oct 2025 20:09:37
Gallagher is one of them players that gets hate no matter what. He does a job well but he isn't exciting, isn't sexy just solid. Imagine he is the type that managers love.

22 Oct 2025 20:40:36
Red man,

Maybe it was someone different that said that? Loads of people post on here with differing opinions.

22 Oct 2025 21:00:33
January will be an interesting window. With the WC coming up. There'll be a few players looking for minutes. Gallagher would be an achievable target.

Camavinga would be the dream though for me. Very unrealistic I know. Sam Allardyce and Bolton did some crazy things in the transfer market in a World Cup year. Why not us! ?.

22 Oct 2025 21:48:25
Tonali.

22 Oct 2025 22:21:30
I think Zirkzee is a strong possibility for an exit. Not sure much dealings in will happen. Mbuemo going is a blow but Fernandes and Mount are options for that role. I do wonder if the Endrick rumours have some substance because of this? Don’t know much about him or if that’s his position? I do wonder if we’ll see Lacey make some appearances? Certainly training a lot with the first team.

I actually think Ugarte has done ok recently, thought he done well when he came on v Liverpool so I’d be inclined to stick with him.

Agree with Ken though, if we’re in and around top 4, the club may give us an extra push and invest.

23 Oct 2025 05:03:33
LOL…. We won against Liverpool now all problems are over and we’re now fighting for Europe, total madness, have you even heard yourselves let’s just erase the last year, it’s took us a year to win back to back games and now we beat Scousers and all is well…your deluded.

23 Oct 2025 08:08:11
GDS
It’s a general point not necessarily aimed at Utd Road. Not much support when I said it, as there wasn’t when I suggested Dembele a few years ago, who is smashing it at PSG. Perhaps it’s just frustration in my old age.

23 Oct 2025 11:58:03
Ray of sunshine Maze.

23 Oct 2025 18:17:10
Not taken personally mate, i took it how you meant it.

Tbf we’d have ruined Dembele.

Gallagher, Mount, belong with Henderson, Milner, Fletcher, Park - they’ll be rated more when they left or retired. They’re the water carriers who make the team tick.

Also I don’t buy into all the Urgate criticism.
He’s a limited player being asked to do more than he’s capable of. Bruno leaves him exposed. He’ll come good.

23 Oct 2025 18:35:40
Gallagher works hard but really. We need someone who is going to make a difference in our midfield. He generally plays a lot of sideways and backwards passes. would fit in with the others in our team who do likewise but we need to progress. Not a good signing for me.

24 Oct 2025 14:33:53
I’d agree Salford. We’ve Ugarte for that already. We don’t need Gallagher, and I don’t see Wilcox and team wanting him either. He’s not the No6 we need at all.

25 Oct 2025 09:58:20
Utd Road,
Ugarte looks like he operates best in tight midfield space, very comfortable operating around and through close opposition. However our midfield is wide open, loads of space and that isn’t his strength. If we wanted three in centre mid he is ideal but we leave it open and Bruno isn’t disciplined in there. Doesn’t do Ugarte any favours.

22 Oct 2025 13:58:48
Should we be concerned about the upcoming Afcon?

22 Oct 2025 16:19:34
We should. Our right hand side has been out best attacking side this season. We will lose both Mbeumo and Amad for six games including the derby, assuming they get to the finals. We also lose Maz in defence. We will probably draft Mainoo to midfield and move Bruno alongside Cunha at 10. But we have no quality to replace Amad.

Luckily Onana starts for Cameroon so I expect Mbeumo back early ?.

22 Oct 2025 20:37:11
Recruitment should, but sadly didn’t, take these events into account. Hopefully the team will have become more cohesive and be able to work around it.

22 Oct 2025 13:26:47
Losing both Amad and Mbeumo for a month because of the AFCON will be huge drop in quality on the right side of our attack potentially for games against Villa, Newcastle, Wolves, Leeds, Burnley and City.
Bruno or Zirkze could be options to replace Mbeumo but I do think we have no replacement for Amad's quality when attacking the opposition fullbacks in 1v1 situations.

22 Oct 2025 17:35:00
More relating to the summer; would the sale of Bruno and Mainoo equate financially to the purchase of Baleba and Wharton?

22 Oct 2025 20:25:01
Those sales would enable it easily. The accounting for incoming is spread over 5 years on the books and the outgoings accounted for in that year. ECL qualification from a PSR presepective means you could buy two of the names linked for those positions.

In terms of total numbers you will pay more for Wharton and Baleba ( though i am big fan of Anderson personally) than you get for Bruno and Mainoo, the first in his 30s the later is on the bench, i think Mainoo leaves in Jan whether on loan or transfer. Its a World Cup year and he isn't going to get himself into the England squad staying at Unitws.

I think Italy or Spain would suit his skillset.

Big win and told you guys we will win. We gona smash Brighton too!

A Turning Point For Manchester United Or Another False Dawn?

Ask after Brighton.

21 Oct 2025 16:25:11
We all remember a previous Anfield hero
for us, Diego Forlan and his 2 goals in 2002.

He was rushed to hospital on Saturday with 3 broken ribs and a punctured lung following an accident while playing in a veterans match in Uruguay.

Seemingly there was much concern as to his wellbeing as he lay motionless on the pitch. Thankfully he is now reported to be much improved.

I wish him well, 3 broken ribs is reportedly a very painful injury to endure.

Just remembering the absolute howler made by Dudek in that 2002 game, it made my day!

I'm begging, a turning point.

21 Oct 2025 18:13:43
Me too Angel. I want to see him succeed. One thing I will give Amorim is that the squad seems more unified since he shipped the trouble makers.

21 Oct 2025 13:45:14
I don't expect a low block game plan for Saturday so I'll think RA will make a few changes, think Mount will drop out for either Sesko or Zirkzee and possibly Yoro coming into the back three instead of Harry with Deligt going central.

21 Oct 2025 10:17:38
Very rarely in recent times have I been excited for the next match. It's amazing what a big win can do for your enthusiasm and looking forward to the Brighton game Saturday. There is still an part of me that is hoping it's not a false dawn but the players should be full of confidence following that result.

One of my criticisms of the team in recent seasons was their lack of resilience and although I think it was clear a few players were nervous when Liverpool equalised and then trying to see the game out, we also now have some big characters who took it upon themselves to lead by example, notably Cunha.

Despite a few eye brows being raised with his team selection, Amorim pretty much got it spot on Sunday with his selection and tactics IMO, despite it upsetting Slot. I am intrigued to see what he does now against Brighton, will he stick to the same starting 11? Or will he stick Sesko back up top? Will he start Yoro who I thought was excellent for the short period of time that he was on for.

As good as it was beating Liverpool at Anfield, I think we will learn more about this team and whether they are turning the corner in this Brighton game.

21 Oct 2025 12:31:02
Ports,

I agree. Brighton have been a bogey tram for Utd for awhile now. It will be a difficult game on Saturday.

21 Oct 2025 16:45:46
MH that form has to stop at some point and I think it's this Saturday. United for a win 3-1.

21 Oct 2025 18:09:37
Id take any win. Again I'm hopeful. The thought of 3 in a row is enough to make me dizzy ?.

22 Oct 2025 08:05:37
Brighton are a quality side. This will be a real test.
