Sancho wants 10m to walk. When has he run? It got smacked me that a lad with great talent is not aiming for higher and more in life.

I feel sorry for his family and kids because school and social life means he is the laughing stock for centuries. Wait till his children start asking questions.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Aug 2025 19:11:13
We pay him £13m a year, why would we pay him £10m to walk away.
Keep him on the books and make him do promotional work around the world hosting fan forums for 12 months, let’s see how long he lasts.

20 Aug 2025 20:20:26
Including the amortization cost of the last 10 months of his contract of about £12m he's going to cost us 80% of his £13m salary. So around £22m in total. You would think most clubs are going to steer clear of a players who has been rejected by United and Chelsea and who, rather than grasp an offer to play football somewhere, would prefer to sit on his arse for the next 10 months. Itv would be worth it for United to sell him for £20m and cover 1/ 2 the remaining salary commitment, but a player who was highly touted, was once considered to be of international quality, can't even command a £20m transfer.

21 Aug 2025 06:45:08
All this about Sancho, are we talking the same player that Shappy said was so good and along with Onana was the missing part of the ETH master plan of a jog saw with his intricate play, speed and precision…. was going to take us to the moon…. how did that go!

Was always a waste of time even at Dortmund and everywhere he been, the red flags were there, still we were stupid enough to give him a contract so all of our own making and he milking that.
No principles or honesty in football.

21 Aug 2025 10:18:27
That stalker is back Shappy, he knows what you said well before he had an account, creepy at best.

21 Aug 2025 13:59:14
If he’ll walk for 10m I suspect he has somewhere to walk to. Hopefully they will offer him 4m see what happens.

21 Aug 2025 15:11:20
GDS, I have been able to read for far too many years! Is that difficult for you to grasp…. Clearly is! So carry on.

21 Aug 2025 18:03:14
Eth didn't sign sancho. He inherited him. i'm no eth fan but we can't blame him on sancho.

21 Aug 2025 20:03:29
Sancho appeared a good signing on paper, shame his talent never made it off the page.

18 Aug 2025 12:59:56
Sancho. It seems he's turned down both Roma and Beziktas. Not sure if he has word of something else in the pipeline or just being greedy. he's probably regretting not accepting the Chelsea offer now.
Let him rot in the academy.

Agree11 Disagree0

18 Aug 2025 14:30:38
Nah we've got a good academy and wouldn't want his attitude rubbing off.

18 Aug 2025 15:25:23
He wants to run down his contract / get a loan so he can get a big signing on fee as a free agent next year.

18 Aug 2025 17:04:00
Wallace you may be correct on that front. If we believe the stories nothing he does makes any logical sense to his words.

Wants to get out of Manchester and be a big player somewhere
Rejects Chelsea as he wanted more than the £150k they offered
Rejects Juventus and Roma who are offering between £100-120k
Rejects Saudi/ Turkey who potentially would pay him his salary demands as he thinks he should be in a higher league/ team

Pick what version of freedom you want. other than none of it and believes that we will be forced to give him a loan and he can negotiate a bigger salary with no fee.

Crazy situation and potentially he needs to be careful of the message he puts out there with clubs having buyer beware fear going forward.

18 Aug 2025 17:38:37
Any club next year would be silly to offer him a big signing on fee and large wage if he hasn’t played for a year, behaved the way he has and essentially he’ll be unemployed. So clubs could offer him a lower contract offer or he’s without a club. He’s playing a silly game IMO.

See Garnacho’s not in the Argentinian squad for World Cup qualifiers next month. Really don’t know who advices these lads.

18 Aug 2025 21:27:23
He's probably holding out in the hope that Dortmund will come in with a ridiculously low offer at the last minute.

18 Aug 2025 21:50:56
The issue is slightly different as I understand it.
He has made it clear to clubs he is willing to take a lower wage but he wants a pay off from united for the last year of his contract of up to £10m which the club don't want to give him.
He feels he is entitled to it and contractually he is.
He knows if we don't sell him we will have to loan him and cover the wages anyhow.
Both parties playing hard ball waiting on the other to blink 1st.
So in the end they will both comprise somewhat. He will get 5m as a pay off that will leave a loss on the books on his exit which we don't want or need.
Messy situation if we were under no psr restrictions and were cash rich he'd have been fine long ago with his cheque.

19 Aug 2025 01:50:16
We are probably trying to cover his book value so no loss hits our accounts. If he tries to get his wages too, that is an extra 10m plus his book value to avoid loss.

Embarrassed for sancho if noone is willing to pay 30m for them. Say everything really.

19 Aug 2025 07:26:17
Don’t we have e an ESports team we good put him in for a year, seems to be the only thing he is good at.

20 Aug 2025 14:37:24
Rumours about sancho not going is his greedy agent wanting stupid commission money. Its what put off juve. I mean if true and he had a chance to go to juve. he needs a slap and a new agent.

20 Aug 2025 19:51:12
To be fair his agent isn't going to make any more money out of him after his next move. He knows he's flogging a dead horse.

20 Aug 2025 20:07:00
I honestly think he may well have serious personal issues, or he’s just holding out for a return to where he feels at home in Dortmund.

20 Aug 2025 22:25:06
That being said, Spurs may get desperate soon enough and come and get him. Feels like the perfect match.

15 Aug 2025 16:56:39
Ornstein: United looking to proceed with Baleba. Fee too high even though Baleba wants United and unhappy at Brighton. So the Cameroonian rumour was wrong. Perhaps Hjulmand could be on the radar, if anyone at all.

Agree1 Disagree0

15 Aug 2025 17:13:54
Not looking**.

15 Aug 2025 17:50:12
Ederson from Atalanta would be my next choice.

15 Aug 2025 17:57:35
Almost right. United *not* looking to proceed. And Baleba *not* unhappy at Brighton!

15 Aug 2025 18:34:28
Douglas Luiz agreed terms with forest. need to agree it with juve . building decent squad there.

15 Aug 2025 19:21:48
Isn’t Wharton the next option?

15 Aug 2025 21:38:28
Roll the dice, go with what we have, last year was a hoot.

16 Aug 2025 10:29:37
I think the true story is that the deal was never on. United asked, Brighton said they aren't selling this year even for 100mil United said are you sure. Yep not selling from Brighton so United moved on.

16 Aug 2025 12:44:41
Utd need more than one quality midfielder.

Why not go for Ederson or Wharton this year and back in for Baleba next year?

16 Aug 2025 17:25:53
The tweeter account that broke the deal agreed news has doubled down and said the move is still on…. brave move fella.

17 Aug 2025 20:08:01
We need a high energy combative midfielder who will drive us forward. All the midfielders mentioned (Ederson, Wharton etc) are very good players but they are more holding players than forward driving. I think that Baleba is the best suited to what we need although the price tag is too high I feel.

14 Aug 2025 21:06:17
Cameroon outlet that broke Brighton to Lille for Beleba reporting United have agreed an overall package of €112 for Baleba.

Agree4 Disagree0

15 Aug 2025 09:24:38
Every rumour I see the price gets cheaper and cheaper. Some fantastic business by Wilcox.

15 Aug 2025 11:21:21
According to the Brighton manager Baleba will not be leaving. Assuming this is what we’ve been told behind closed doors, it may be time to move on.

15 Aug 2025 12:10:25
Reading now manager has said he's confident Baleba is staying and Brighton turned down the offer

Who really knows though.

15 Aug 2025 13:04:17
Press saying this morning that the backup plan is the danish guy from Sporting. Who knows.

15 Aug 2025 13:48:21
Hjumland seems like a good player but does he fit the athletic profile that Amorim has specified. From what I've seen of him, he's really not very quick, but is a very good reader of the game. What I like most about Baleba is that it's more obvious how Mainoo can play beside him. If Sancho, Garnacho and Hojlund all go over the next week or so then I expect us to up whatever we've bid for Baleba.

15 Aug 2025 13:49:41
I’ve read that the Brighton manager stumped up €200 himself to keep the player at the club.

15 Aug 2025 17:00:16
Move off for Baleba as per Ornstein.

15 Aug 2025 18:23:16
Time for Kone to step up.

16 Aug 2025 05:51:13
Kone nowhere near able to step up yet, just not ready, Ugarte poor, Not sure RA even fancies Mainoo in there, so Cass will be our go to in midfield if we don’t sign a midfielder now…. But just because we not going for Brighton boy, who let’s face it fee was ridiculous we will probably still sign someone else.

14 Aug 2025 20:55:18
Rumour deal agreed with Brighton € 112 million, be amazing if true!

Agree2 Disagree0

14 Aug 2025 22:00:31
Amazing profit for them too.

15 Aug 2025 03:59:38
I can't see us spending anything like that.

15 Aug 2025 07:54:09
I also can’t see that being true.

If for some reason this is true, I already feel bad for Baleba. He would be joining a great club but with the amount of press United get, he would need to score a hatrick every game for the press to not constantly run stories saying £100m flop!

16 Aug 2025 21:52:38
Not sure about that Fallguy.

As long as he runs around a bit he'll be fine.

14 Aug 2025 16:50:22
Rumours that Roma have offered £20m for Sancho.

Agree2 Disagree0

14 Aug 2025 18:00:19
Sadly, I can see Sancho digging his heels in. Why move abroad for less money when he can sit around doing nothing for 12 months and then get a big signing on fee next summer?

If he does go this year, we’ll probably need to pay him off, which will eat up a big chunk of any fee we’re able to get for him.

14 Aug 2025 18:51:46
He was reported willing to reduce his wages to go to Juve but the deal doesn’t have seemed to progressed.

If he stayed, then his take home would be around £7m, if he moved somewhere like Italy, then only 50% of income is taxed, so he could be taking home the same amount on a lower overall wage to the club, which explains the williness to reduce his wages.

If Roma were offering £20m I would be snapping their hand off, get him off the books and away from the club.

14 Aug 2025 11:54:01
Looks like collyer going on loan to West brom
Good for him hope he does well.

Agree8 Disagree0

14 Aug 2025 14:11:45
Best idea for him at hopefully a top championship club. Will either mean he comes back ready to compete or we are able to sell on.

Good luck to him.

14 Aug 2025 15:30:34
Even more depleted in central midfield then. Surely there has to be another coming in.

14 Aug 2025 16:13:37
If you believe Cameroonian media outlets, then there is ballons!

14 Aug 2025 16:42:32
Even before Collyer we were light in midfield, maybe not from a numbers point of view, but certainly in terms of the quality needed in that area.

We would have Casemiro, Ugarte, Mainoo, Bruno in his likely new role and then from youth we would have Kone when he recovers. All for 2 spots. Bruno is a guarantee starter, so it’s one more needed. Unfortunately none of the others have the skills or talent required. So a new player is definitely needed.

I would say there is 0.1% chance of Baleba happening due to the £100m+ valuation.

Seen Wharton mentioned recently, but I’d imagine Palace will have a similar valuation. So probably another with zero chance.

Guess it’s down to whether the club want to go with a player way down their list of targets or wait it out until next season.

I’m hoping they break the bank for Baleba, but I’m not hopeful.

14 Aug 2025 18:54:08
Why zero chance fall guy have you been listening to the back of fag packet know it alls on here about we have no money!

14 Aug 2025 20:19:21
While I'd like to think that Collyer going on loan must mean we are signing a midfielder I sadly expect that it was always the case that one of Collyer or Kone would go out on loan to get game time this season.

We play with a midfield pivot, meaning there will only be two places up for grabs. Which without European games reduces the amount of rotation we need to make.

We have Casemiro, Ugarte, Bruno and Mainoo nailed down as the four senior options. Really we need one youth option who will play under 23's most weeks but can come into the first team squad for some games to cover for injuries.

They seem to have made the decision to keep Kone with the squad and develop him in house this season. They seemed to come to this conclusion while on tour, which makes sense that a couple of weeks after we've got back we are hearing about loan deals being lined up for Collyer.

That said I still think we will sign Baleba. I just think that one of Collyer or Kone was always going to go out on loan regardless this season to get the senior game time they need.

14 Aug 2025 20:54:14
Didn’t say zero chance. Almost zero though.

It’s been widely reported that Brighton will want north of £100m. Although this is unconfirmed it’s likely fairly true based on what Chelsea paid for Caicedo.

They don’t have to sell so are unlikely to reduce the price.

United aren’t going out spending that kind of money this window.

12 Aug 2025 16:50:15
Rumours of dayot upamecano coming out at moment that he has been offered to us by Bayern.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Aug 2025 18:12:05
He is terrible……an accident waiting to happen, poor decision maker and rash.

12 Aug 2025 18:16:56
No way do I believe that. From what I’ve seen he’s very good.

12 Aug 2025 19:12:04
I don't rate him either he had a shocker against city a few years ago in the champions league.
I'd rather Kim Min jae if I was going for a Bayern centre back.

12 Aug 2025 21:01:27
I’m always wary of rumours stemming from an agent who is mid contract talks for that player.

12 Aug 2025 21:09:32
He has flopped at BM.

12 Aug 2025 23:46:55
I don't think I've seen many players as openly mocked by pundits during last year's Euros. But what do I know.

13 Aug 2025 11:17:13
I think this is just agent posturing to be honest.

13 Aug 2025 12:37:17
Agents, or reporters trying to generate clicks.

99% of transfer stories are complete nonsense.

13 Aug 2025 15:23:58
I know I think our CBs are bad but he is at same level as our worst one, probably Martinez.

13 Aug 2025 22:31:02
We should be pushing as hard as possible for Donnarumma! We wouldn’t need any CB’s if we had him instead of Onana.
Missed opportunity if we don’t bid and he ends up at city. They can’t buy him unless Ederson leaves so we could nip in and beat them to him.

12 Aug 2025 11:17:56
Rumour from Sky Sports.

'Brighton braced for second Baleba bid'

Brighton are braced for a second bid for 'key' Man Utd midfield target Carlos Baleba, according to The Standard.

Reports suggest that a first bid, which included Toby Collyer in part-exchange, for Baleba was rejected.

However, United are ready to move again as they look to revitalise their midfield with the 21-year-old, who is thought to be keen on a move to Old Trafford.

Agree1 Disagree0

12 Aug 2025 12:17:51
Maybe if we remove Collyer they'll accept it! :D.

12 Aug 2025 12:22:34
Braced for 2nd bid? No reputable source has said there's been 1 yet!

12 Aug 2025 13:57:29
BW, it's a rumour posted on Sky Sports. Read the first line of the OP.

11 Aug 2025 19:26:14
United have made an approach to CP for Mark Guehi, exploring details of a deal structure. 2 journos confirmed and also liverpool fanzine.

Agree1 Disagree0

11 Aug 2025 20:40:35
Oh now there’s a surprise, we are looking for a CB…. Saturday reinforced RA thoughts that we are awful at CB…. and it’s a major concern within…… it will upset the Deligt and Martinez fan zone on here!

11 Aug 2025 21:00:29
German, it is possible to think some players are good and also think another player might be better. Living in a black or white world can't be much fun.

11 Aug 2025 21:14:27
Thought I read that Geuhi had his heart set on Liverpool and was going to join on a free next year.

11 Aug 2025 21:45:56
Dont rate Guehi any better than De Ligt or Martinez.

12 Aug 2025 00:34:21
Very good player but Liverpool-bound surely.

12 Aug 2025 03:50:34
Would be a very good buy for the price reported. I think palace will be keen to get him moved on this summer which could definitely work in our favor. If he moves to Liverpool now, he would not be a guaranteed starter, which he’ll likely be keen to avoid during a World Cup year. Of course, this could just be Palace trying to get Liverpool to speed things up a bit, but as I mentioned a few days ago, he’d be a big improvement on what we have at a reasonable price.

12 Aug 2025 05:17:18
The way I see it is that Steve Parish has come out and send Guhei can leave if a good offer comes in. So then he’s essentially available why wouldn’t United have a sniff OR once again, link with United, get that price up so they get top price for him. Not sure Germans inside factual knowledge should be admired on this like claims. Maybe more common sense.

12 Aug 2025 09:05:55
I don't think anyone said we didn't need a new CB, I think most people suggested that it was unlikely we would get one this summer with heavy investment needed in the forward line, midfield and in goal all being of higher priority than at CB.

The club as activated Maguire's one year option to make sure they still had depth in defence.

Marc Guehi would be a great signing if we could pull it off. Good age, a leader, EPL proven, and capable of playing in all three positions in the three man defence.

I still doubt we'll sign him or any CB this summer. I can only imagine if we do then it is at the expense of another position like keeper or midfield and rather than go for a 2nd or 3rd choice option in goal or midfield the club would rather get a first choice option in another position of need, especially if they think they can get their first choice next summer.

Maybe the club have been given a firm "no chance" this summer on Baleba, but a willingness to do the deal next summer. So the choice is sign someone else in midfield and give up on their clear first choice just to get someone in this summer, or wait until next summer for Baleba. If they are confident they will sign Baleba next summer then maybe waiting for him makes sense. In which case then maybe look at a CB this year instead of next summer.

12 Aug 2025 11:55:38
If Baleba has another good season he will probably end up costing more next summer than he would now. If he has a bad season, we may end up moving onto other targets anyway.

12 Aug 2025 15:05:53
Nothing like covering all eventualities Shappy! I don’t think we sign a first choice keeper this season, mainly because no one will want Onana and on basis he can’t be this bad all the time… I said all along we will sign a decent experienced CB with pace and we will, because me have no one who fits that criteria at the moment and he’ll we need it.

12 Aug 2025 20:55:42
Hasn’t he already agreed personal terms with Liverpool and reports tonight that a fee has been agreed between the two clubs.

12 Aug 2025 22:22:03
German, we'll see.

13 Aug 2025 07:31:27
He’s off to Liverpool chaps.
