1958 group planning a protest prior to the home game against Fulham. Be interesting to see the turnout. I admire their intentions but I highly doubt it will make any difference. Ratcliffe, the glazers etc couldn’t care less about what the likes of us think. Arrogance, ego and wealth at its worst, sadly we r stuck with them??♂️.
09 Jan 2026 01:08:08
Like what Amorim said about the board being bothered by g nev comments, and with the way the manager went they don’t like being called out, they don’t like the focus on them. I think only way to rattle this lot is major disruption that gets headlines. I love what 1958 are trying but it’s very passive and a lot of the media don’t even cover it because you don’t see it in the stadium.
I think we’re past a staged walk with a banner in front of us. Unfortunately to many of the fans at home want to eat their prawn sandwich’s they don’t realise what’s going on in the club.
Any other club the fans really wouldn’t put up with it and definitely not for this long.
09 Jan 2026 07:51:10
Totally. I wish them all the best in the protest. Hopefully the media pays attention and doesn’t do what they normally do and try to paint the fans as hyperbolic, spoilt.
09 Jan 2026 16:07:12
Complete and utter waste of time, the Glazers won’t be there to see it and Jim Ratcliffe could t care less. Won’t make one bit of a difference.

{Ed's Note - Ed001 has posted a new article entitled, Matchday 20 - Quick Round Up
08 Jan 2026 19:37:20
Thanks Ed001. I always make coffee and enjoy Round ups.
{Ed001's Note - thank you very much Heaven. Hard to keep up with all the games at the moment though, so sorry they are coming out so late.}
08 Jan 2026 20:09:03
No worries Ed001, it's understandable. I see almost all highlights every week (fixture) . I can't even keep up with highlights these days with matches come so fast, so what you do has out respect.
{Ed001's Note - thank you mate.}
08 Jan 2026 20:29:51
A good read when they come ?.
08 Jan 2026 18:28:02
Just once, it would be refreshing to see those behind the scenes, (I'm looking at you Wilcox) come out and tell the supporters the rationale behind their decisions, and yes, their mistakes as well.
And I don't mean marking their own homework on MUTV.
08 Jan 2026 18:49:38
Faces on the 2 muppets last nite. Got the blood pressure up for sure. I wasn’t Amorims biggest fan, but there’s been plenty of other poor decisions made. Consequences for others failing in their job but not for those 2 apparently.
09 Jan 2026 01:12:03
There will be a big interview with Jim hosted by Gary Neville where Jim will say a lot of absolute dribble and Gary will just agree rather than call the owners out on anything.
09 Jan 2026 10:38:00
i have said for a year now wilcox is not fit to be sporting director. ashworth was the right guy but barada got rid of him.
08 Jan 2026 17:46:15
With the FA Cup this weekend I hope that Fletcher is brave enough to give some of the squad/younger players a go. Understandable if he wants to stick with the same team to get a win but it would be good to see his confidence in youth and at least have Lacey/Fletcher playing. plus give Mainoo a start.
We are managing minutes for some players at the minute so perfect opportunity to see what some others can do.
08 Jan 2026 18:00:10
Brad, it's vital to get a win this weekend. I think he goes strong and rightfully so. One cup competition left and for whoever comes in after the weekend, it could mean a lot to them.
08 Jan 2026 18:12:50
I'd rather just see the strongest team and do all we can to get a win personally.
08 Jan 2026 18:19:42
Angel I think I've been disagreeing with you a fair bit lately but I'm 100% with you on this.
08 Jan 2026 18:45:54
Best 11 available for me.
08 Jan 2026 19:08:56
Against a team in the premiership? First XI every time.
Jeez, even at home against a Championship side.
08 Jan 2026 21:21:23
Best team, last chance. Go out and it would be soul destroying.
08 Jan 2026 22:04:16
The cup is a viable route to Europe. We have to take it seriously, but I would start Lacey.
09 Jan 2026 08:56:32
Looks like I am in the minority. however as flip floppy as it might be you might all be swaying me as I was not really giving thought to the Europe route!
Nice to see a united set of posts though.
Lets see what comes Sunday.
09 Jan 2026 11:40:32
It's the only competition we can win, it would be crazy not to put out his strongest team.
08 Jan 2026 17:46:10
Just goes to show all this talk about formations is pointless. It's about attitude and tempo of play that determines how you play. 1st 40 minutes were rubbish. Strolling around the pitch, no movement, passive defending.
Last 5 mins of 1st half and 2nd half was better. Casamiro has been good recently but was terrible. Thought Dorgu done well down the left and pleased that Sesko got a couple.
08 Jan 2026 18:00:52
Agreed mate. And I didn't see that application with the last manager. His record speaks for itself.
08 Jan 2026 18:21:58
It's worth reading the pice in the Athletic today. Show the clear upward trend since Amorim started. I think you are massively underestimating the scale of the task he had, and, as a consequence, not giving the credit deserved.
08 Jan 2026 18:27:37
Don, what clear upward trends did you see?
08 Jan 2026 18:53:38
Took over a team in 15th and left them joint 5th.
When was last time we were 3 points of a cl position after 20 games?
Took over a team with a seadon and half of neg goal difference left them with a positive one.
There were lots of positives this season anybody saying there were none just looks like a tool.
There were things not improving too.
Angel forgets he Took over a team in massive decline.
He didn't arrest all the flaws but did affect as much as he could in the time he had.
He took over a team averaging 1 point a game with a negative goal difference in 15th and left them in a much better position.
A few things worked well and others not so much.
You would have to be stupid to think 6th is not an improvement on 15th.
08 Jan 2026 19:29:40
Ken, you told me all we needed was a decent coach with the current squad at ETHS disposal. He took over a team 4 points off top 4 who had won 2 trophies in the previous 2 seasons (massive decline) and we finished the season on 42 points with relegation form. In 2025, he lost more than he won. He had a win rate of 38%, conceding over 100 goals in 63 games. He left on 6th place but also we were 3 points off 12th. 3 wins in his last 11 games, unable to beat Everton, Spurs, Forest, Wolves, Leeds, Bournemouth and West ham, 6 of those teams between 14th-20th.
Again with the name calling ken (You'd have to be stupid/looks like a tool) . You can't help yourself.
You preach on here like you know more than everyone, that the board had a plan, they were backing him, you wouldn't expect us mere mortals to understand.
2 weeks later, the man gets sacked.
I won't call you any names mate, your posts speak volumes.
08 Jan 2026 19:57:00
Took over at played 17 and 13th.
And finished 15th.
Lost Europa cup to spurs.
Lost to Grimsby.
6th but closer to 16th than 3rd at played 20.
08 Jan 2026 20:15:33
Today's right angel you don't personally insult people on here and try to be smart but you can't quite pull it off. post from you.
Anyway, enjoy your nap, maybe with a good sleep, you'll have more clarity, it catches up with everyone at your age ken
Im old and doting according to you so a don't be so precious and talk out of both sides of your mouth.
You throw the stones but can't take it back.
6th is a better position to be in than 14th only a fool would say otherwise.
08 Jan 2026 20:33:10
It is almost pointless at this stage. Too many won't evaluate RA on what he actually had at his disposal and the very very clear improvements made. I get it if you're more impatient but just denying the progress is ridiculous.
To highlight some of what he faced: when he took over it was painfully obvious that attackers were needed but, in order to try and deal with the toxic culture and start to try rebuild, Amorim actually saw 3 forwards loaned out (Sancho, Rashford and Antony) with none in.
The team he took over was a lower half premier league team. I've put metrics elsewhere that showed the previous season's 8th place was actually an unfair reflection on underlying performance which was nearer to 15th. And he had starters from that team loaned out. To judge him the way you lads are doing is so disingenuous that it borders on insulting logic.
08 Jan 2026 21:35:21
Don I don't care what the circumstances or about any of the caveats its just basic that 6th no matter how close it is to 16th is better than being in 15th. Its stupid to say moving up that many places is not improvement.
You can argue all of the varing reaso s or circumstances and they will be a matter of opinion. But it would be stupid not to recognise the improvement in leage position.
Amorim was not fired for the league position he was fired due to his private outburst with wilcox and his public undermining of his superiors. As our ceo told the players it was a shock and not part of their plan but he left them with no choice.
He engineered his own exit and one exactly what he was doing.
Now they have to get someone else. Hopefully our interim manager can continue the improvement and move us 1 place up to 5th and secure that cl place which would help No end in attracting players and coaches.
At least we he left us in a European place so i'm sure that's pretty much guaranteed now if you listen to some nobody could do worse.
Looking forward to seeing how that works out. 4th is there for the taking so now bruno and co can march on without RA holding them back.
08 Jan 2026 21:48:43
Exactly so Ken. Though I don't think that Europe is guaranteed. This could derail us. I hope not, and think that when the Afcon players return we'll get back to our better performances. We have a poor squad but in the last two summer windows we've gotten in good players. We just are missing too many of them atm.
08 Jan 2026 22:08:57
Well said Ken. Angel dishes out but can't take it. Weird.
08 Jan 2026 22:18:38
Of course. In a 433 I would expect maz to start and mbeuno. Don't see a starting spot for amad in that shape. Although he is having a great afcon by all accounts.
08 Jan 2026 22:27:04
I was thinking about this too. Maybe Cunha central and Amad wide left, or Mbeumo up front. For everyone screaming for Mainoo to start in a 4-3-3, the consequence that it could mean Amad doesn't seem to have been totally ignored. It is what it is.
09 Jan 2026 07:47:39
Ken, I have to admire your persistence, but some will never 'get it'. Personally, I've given up on him and his ever-present 38% success rate posts! Speaks volumes for itself, etc.
08 Jan 2026 12:42:01
Being reported Luis Enrique will leave PSG and would like to try the Premier League, he'd be some Manager, City will be chasing too as l think Pep will leave them soon.
08 Jan 2026 14:04:45
He won't be short of offers and options.
City Liverpool ourselves and possibly spurs will be looking for a new manager i'd perhaps.
Did great last season not so hot this season.
I would not be dying to get him get him to united because I know so little about him.
08 Jan 2026 15:51:21
Has city written all over it, plus they are organised so if the rumours about pep are true, then don’t be shocked if enrique is his replacement.
08 Jan 2026 08:08:08
Why am i not seeing posts questioning playing 7 defensive players against Burnley? Why no questions on substituting a defender for another? Why o why did we not win the game? We had so many shots, xg and possession stats all in our favour. Oh yeah we are not supposed to look at those right. Sack Amorim for that again pls. We had the same 11 players on the pitch just standing in different positions at 2 times during the game, first whistle and second half whistle.
When are we going to learn that a mega project takes time to cover. We just started and some couldn't handle that we didn't get instant glory. We are back to where we always start and no doubt that it will be the same in a couple of years time.
08 Jan 2026 09:24:53
We again created lots of chances that we couldn't finish and got caught out with 2 stupid mistakes
Our midfield is poor and has been poor for over ten years and it doesn't matter whether you play 442 433 343 any team with an mobile midfield walks right through us ever week.
Casemiro really shouldn't be relied upon as much ugarte is poor in most cases
Mainoo is a good player but he's better in Bruno's position than further back that why amorim didn't play him.
Until we sort the midfield we will be nowhere with this team.
08 Jan 2026 09:38:32
No manager could work miracles with this awful squad. We literally have the slowest squad in the premier league. Midfield a joke no proper wingers 2 rubbish fullbacks and expecting kids to work miracles at centre half. Fergie wouldn’t of got a tune out of this lot.
08 Jan 2026 09:41:01
Probably because we didn’t play 7 defenders, we played a back 4 with 2 in front and when we needed a goal he took the 2 holding players off for a more attacking midfielder and a young winger.
We looked a lot more comfortable in the build up imo than we have under Amorim, and that’s still with some important players missing and others just coming back from injury.
I wasn’t really one for having a go at Amorim and didn’t really want him sacked but people aren’t going to come on and slag off Fletcher for one game that we should have won. With Amorim it became a pattern, until then surely ‘fans’ should get behind whoever the interim is?
08 Jan 2026 09:50:04
I enjoyed last night despite the performance. 30 shots, 10 on target, brace from Sesko, and a good goal chalked off IMO.
They had 1 on target and scored 2 goals.
Good post GDS.
08 Jan 2026 09:53:53
Yh don't really get this, if we are going to hark back to Amorim its going to get tedious.
At the end of the day, it wasnt really fan reaction or even results/performances that got him the sack. It was breakdown in relationships between the manager and the sporting director. Even ed001 said Amorim was winning the power struggle until his public outbursts which made his position untenable.
Did i prefer the way we played yesterday to how we played under Amorim, absolutely it was a very entertaining game and we should have won if not for a couple of awful defensive lapses.
08 Jan 2026 09:55:07
I think the OP pointed out the hypocrisy of fans who spent months saying those things whilst the underlying issue remains.
We didn’t look more comfortable for me, just more of the same. In fact our structure at Leeds looked better for me.
08 Jan 2026 10:06:16
There's a phrase that springs to mind. 'You can't polish a turd'.
08 Jan 2026 10:10:25
The result I meant.
They had one shot on target last night red man. I thought it was a lot better and Bruno stays on, we win IMO. Fingers crossed we can beat Brighton at the weekend.
08 Jan 2026 10:20:46
The OP threw his toys out of the pram.
After a slow start we battered them and should have won, great to see Sesko bag a couple and Lacey have an impact.
Banging on about Amorim gets us nowhere.
08 Jan 2026 10:22:47
Agreed Red Man. Our shape was poor. We were set up more defensively and yet were significantly more open. Selecting Cunha on the right for the first half, and taking him off when Bruno was already off was a catastrophic error. Burnley are the worst team we'll face in the premier league this year.
Despite league position they are much worse than Wolves. We exacerbated our issues last night by team selection and shape. A CM pairing of Casemiro and Ugarte is something I'm hoping to see no more of.
08 Jan 2026 11:24:58
Thank you Red Man. Atleast some on here can see through what's happening and not make ludicrous observations without even trying to look at the larger picture.
08 Jan 2026 11:28:11
Agreed GDS.
08 Jan 2026 12:13:53
I didn’t see a battering last night. I saw that maybe we were slightly better than a relegation threatened team. People want to see that it was Amorim holding the players back so they can justify his sacking.
See whatever you want but there was more to Amorim than just organising the team. Last night was Fletcher trying to do his best but a draw was all he could manage.
08 Jan 2026 13:09:53
Nobody is saying that red man. And you'll no doubt go banging on about Amorim for months at every opportunity. We could get top 5 this year and you'll still tell us how we are worse off without it.
Once your colours are pinned to the mast, you're not for changing.
You even suggested that we should sell Bruno in January ?.
08 Jan 2026 13:17:44
It’s like a cult. Implicit. Let’s not mention Amorim but the big issue is the ownership or we just going to toe the line and accept all the pr spin.
I’ve never known a fan base so silent. If this was happening at any other club it would be so different. Newcastle Sheffield weds anyone.
08 Jan 2026 13:41:38
Amorim is gone i see no point in talking about him in relation to last night's game or ones coming.
Im waiting for the thick one to say fletcher has a 0%win rate.
08 Jan 2026 13:43:00
We were joint 5th when he left so I've no doubt the interim will improve on that and finish in a cl spot.
08 Jan 2026 13:52:52
Angel
Top five maybe but the underlying issues are now not being dealt with. Who is going to fix the issues now? Want to win the league they need fixing. Having seen how we treat managers like Amorim and Rangnick what manager will feel they will be given the authority to deal with it?
In summer Luis Enrique will likely replace Pep. We need his level of manager but why would he come to us knowing the underlying issues?
08 Jan 2026 14:12:50
AJH, nothing is getting us anywhere and that's the point I am trying to make. We are stuck in a circle. Its just the timing that changes, we always reach the same point because we are not willing to break out of it.
08 Jan 2026 14:17:27
Whether you were a supporter of Amorim or not is irrelevant now. He's gone and he's part of our past.
That said the performance yesterday was pretty much identical to all our performances this season. Fletcher even moved to a back three in the second half. Ironically that is when we actually scored.
We for the most part limited the opposition to few chances, had a lot of shots, but failed to take out chances.
That's a copy and paste analysis of pretty much all our games this season and many of the them last season.
It's almost as if the problem is that the players aren't good enough, but surely if that was the case the club would have some sort of a plan to clear out the squad and bring in better players. Oh wait they do.
It doesn't really matter who the next manager is, until we see another dozen players get replaced in this squad they will struggle to get consistently good performances and results from this subpar squad.
08 Jan 2026 14:22:03
Burnley, 7 shots, 1 on target. United, 30shots, 10 on target, plus hitting the woodwork twice, but no, not a battering.
08 Jan 2026 14:44:22
Red man, it's their first managerial appointment, they got it wrong. I trust them to get it right. They tried something different, it can happen.
They are wading through the crap left by previous administrations. Recruitment, The Academy, The entire footballing structure is being changed. They tried with Amorim, they got it wrong, now it's very important to get the next one right. I believe they will as they are all competent operators.
08 Jan 2026 14:48:15
Wide open midfield, poor defending, poor finishing, and limited pressing. Normal service.
08 Jan 2026 15:07:22
Competent operators?
The man seemingly pulling the strings in terms of how we play is now Jason Wilcox, a man appointed by Omar Berrada (himself not a football guy) based on knowing him from their time at City together. So a guy with a few years as City under 18s coach and 9 months as DoF at Southampton is now calling the shots at the biggest club in the world.
Jason Wilcox, a fairly mediocre Blackburn Rovers winger with no first team management experience, who has admitted that he "always want (s) to interfere in what the managers are doing. ”
The Ashworth debacle. Aye proper competent.
08 Jan 2026 17:24:04
Jesus the team have been playing a completely different system for the past 14 months what do you expect.
The big plus was that in the formation we played last night we actually got the ball through to the centre forward (Sesko) and created chances for him. We also put in a few decent crosses as well.
08 Jan 2026 17:54:46
Simo, good post mate. Good to see you back on here too.
I thought, overall it was decent. Lots of chances, and that's not we have been seeing the last few performances.
The board are good strong people who know what they are at despite the poor appointment of amorim. Let's see how the next 12 months go.
08 Jan 2026 17:55:19
Fizz, personally I will always see things from the owners and management point of view.
I won't always agree with their decisions but I will try understand them from their perspective.
Management make mistakes. Owners make decisions that turn out to be wrong but those decisions and calls were made with the best if intentions. They may have been the right decision at 1 time but due to unforeseen events they look like or decisions. It happens everyday in every business.
Wilcox may be operating at a level he never has before so he will make mistakes.
Tolerance is required for him as much as any manager.
Can he step up and command his role? I don't know. I don't know enough about him but I hope he is given the chance same as the next manager.
We can't throw our toys out of the pram because they made a mistake or 2.
We won't always agree with their decisions.
We will get frustrated for sure but what they need to do is very complex and they are working with 1 hand tied behind their back too.
Amorim begged to be fired they didn't have a voice after his outburst that I saw for 1st time today. He will have had his reasons for acting like that. He knew the consequences.
Imo they need someone in the same mould he is ruthless. I suspect this season will be a write off from here in but there is always next season. Its only a game and hobby for us. Even buffoon ole coming back wouldn't stop me watching supporting and hoping.
08 Jan 2026 20:31:52
When did you change your mind on the board angel?
08 Jan 2026 21:20:36
Look at the situation anyway you like ken but, incompetence and naivety is writ large.
08 Jan 2026 07:39:03
{Ed's Note - Joyfull has posted a new article entitled, The Championship Drop and What It Means for West Ham United
07 Jan 2026 20:09:14
Igor thiago anyone scoring for fun at Brentford. Maybe even Keith Andrews.
07 Jan 2026 23:41:08
More of Shay Lacey instead please!
08 Jan 2026 08:52:49
He was ace Eric, I thought that first one was in when it left his boot.
08 Jan 2026 16:38:10
Let's not go overboard he had 2 shots decent efforts neither hit the target. He likes a shot had a couple on target in his previous appearance.
He has been well touted for a while so hopefully he will improve and learn. Had a few niggly injuries from 16-18 so stalled a little but seems to be over the worst of that.
With a shortage of wingers in the squad he could well get plenty of opportunities under the likes of Carrick and fletcher. Seems like a nice lad too. Hope he keeps his feet on the ground and stays true to himself.
08 Jan 2026 17:19:21
And stays off insta and away from the likely. lads in the dressing room Ken!
08 Jan 2026 17:25:59
Easy Ken. Just said want to see more of him. Promising cameo indeed and he had a go. More than can be said for many of them.

I think I’d rather gauge Amorim on this season 5th in the league. Last season he was brought in half way through the season to play a 343 with a squad that wasnt equipped to play that way. Still this season he wasn’t really given the players he needed nor any attempt in January. Set up to fail which sounds familiar to every manager we’ve had. Some ‘fans’ think if you can go from a mediocre team to world class in 14 months it doesn’t work like that.
We were sold a project and now we are in no mans land for another 6 months. We may be run by a new name but trust me it’s just the name that’s changed.
Don’t worry we will get in a failed club legend again and everyone will forget about the mess. I really hope we go in free fall to 17th, what I’ve learnt now in 10+ years is that’s the only way things change and owners forced out.
07 Jan 2026 22:20:17
Completely agree. One step forwards, 3 steps back every time.
07 Jan 2026 22:21:49
Yeah, last season doesn't really count for me. By his own admission, they put the league to one side to keep players fit for Europe.
This season is all that matters to me, and we were in the European places, with our best players still to come back.
Should have been given to the end of the season.
Also, any transfer business is up in the air, now, with no permanent manager. Who will come when they don't know who the manager will be? Could cost us.
07 Jan 2026 23:13:21
There is a type of fan nowadays that follow players and not teams. They run with the hares and chase with the hounds. Seeking instant gratification and stamp their feet when its not going as well a they would like.
I am and was a big amorim supporter. 2 defeats since September and not yet good enough to turn draws into wins. Because the team is short quality and experience.
What do we expect from. 2 teenage cb's with no midfielddefending in front of them? Perfection? No slip ups?
Building a team a business a home from the ground up is a journey. Its never easy and there will be difficulty along the way. We have lots of fans who criticise players who are not up for the fight. Imo its those fans who have not got the stomach for the fight. Imo a lot of our fanbase are Weak entitled and not up for the fight. A huge lack of tolerance.
Hopefully are next guy will prove to be a success but with the here and now empty vesselsmaking so much noise it won't be easy.
As fans all we can do is hope.
07 Jan 2026 23:37:24
Yeah sure let's just ignore half a year of turgid football followed by another half a year of turgid football. Fantastic progress. He's gone and it was the right decision for everyone involved.
08 Jan 2026 06:42:53
To change the club, to solve underlying issues in attitude, mentality needed someone who understood the importance of that. Someone who would stand up and deal with it. We got that in Amorim but the short sighted fans looking at stats didn’t get it.
The club may appoint, even temporarily, in Ole one of the main causes in that lackadaisical attitude.
It means a longer road, if anyone is even going to be able to do it, but it saves spending money, nice increased profits will please someone.
08 Jan 2026 08:15:11
Respect to Twenty, Tumbleweed, Noucamp and Red Man. Posts that hit the nail on the head. I'm still reeling from recent events.
08 Jan 2026 08:40:29
I love how anyone who wasn't 100% behind Amorim, is a toxic, weak, clueless fan and those who support him are the real fans who "understand" football. You guys like what he was doing and that's fine. I didn't like the style of football he was bringing and I didn't enjoy watching Utd since he came here.

Banjoe, it's all about opinion, but I agree, when posters are on their high horse, there is no knocking them off of it despite what they have said. Like, all we needed was to get rid of ETH and get a proper coach in with this bunch of players, or how the board have a greater plan with Amorim that we don't know about. When challenged, we are not knowledgeable enough or they don't expect 'us' to understand. The condescending tone is incredibly laughable and people like that rarely know anything about what is really going on, like the rest of us.
For me, I like to see what's right Infront of me, staring me in the face. Lethargic, defensive football that conceded more goals than we scored and lost the same amount as we won. I saw players not playing for the manager and a manager that said the most bizarre things in press conferences and interviews. An experiment gone wrong at the club. Many of us on here just didn't buy it, doesn't make us any more or less knowledgeable than the Amorim supporters.
I actually believe that the people in charge, Berrada, Wilcox, Vivell etc. will get it right. I'm not writing them off after one bad managerial appointment. They are restructuring nearly everything on the footballing side of the club and that is going to take time. They just have to ensure that the right person is on the pitch over seeing the football and that is aligned with their vision for the club going forward.

Banjoe
Through many years of experience we recognise there was an underlying change needed, not just tweaks to team selection. Pretty football doesn’t just arrive by click of fingers.
Rangnick and Amorim were brought in to do the difficult change process, it is difficult to change the direction of any business, it will give a bumpy ride. I know from business experience.
So it may not be pretty but is tough, needs patience and time.
The club failed both Rangnick and Amorim, badly.
Now as a joke they may appoint Ole to give that lovely warm glow to some utterly gullible fans to quieten the discontent, whilst setting us back again.
Maybe having managed change it gives me a greater appreciation of what it takes, but the club seems incapable of sorting itself out.
Frankly Wilcox should not be there now. Get him out. Berada has to be on borrowed time.
Who on earth will they bring in on a perm basis now they failed the ones who were brought in to do the difficult change process?
Utter disgrace of a management.

Banjoe it’s like having half the ingredients of a recipe and expecting it to still taste great. It’s a process. I’m sure if Amorim stayed 2 + years and was backed we wouldn’t have a Casemiro and Fernandes midfield. Most united fans problems are they are impatient.

I'm not a complete idiot lads, I understand what a process is and don't need it explained to me but this change of our identity was never going to be something that I would enjoy. Redman you have been banging on about Bruno being an issue so long that I don't take anything you say seriously.

I also think it's wrong and insulting to say the appointment of Ole would be a joke but I expect nothing less at this point.

Angel, I'm with you on the upper management (possibly with the exception of Wilcox, IMO we part ways and get Mitchell), that aside I think in time they will get this right and the overarching plan will remain on course.
My feelings on the Amorim situation are documented but I'll get past it, much like I got past it when the likes of RR and JM were dismissed.
It comes back to the squad, and they simply aren't good enough as a collective, I think we can almost all agree upon that? There's probably still at least 7 players that need selling asap and replacing across the next 3 windows for us to really be where we want to be. But those 7 transfers need to be nailed as we are so far behind.
Yes we might scrape UCL this year, I genuinely hope we do, but we equally might drop down the league a few places over the coming weeks. Does the squad have what it takes to battle its way back up the table. Time will tell if course.
